@@InGratitudeIam Digging it so far. I really enjoyed the previous version, but this one is quite a bit faster to boot and pull the reverse cam up as well as connecting to my phone.
Thank you AZ Overland for sharing Roadanvi's 4Runner radio!!!! If you have any questions about this radio, you can also contact me. I wish you all a pleasant viewing!!🥳
They are both built solidly. I didn't notice any difference in the actual plastic "shell" the head unit is mounted in to. I did have a challenge on the F10 clicking the top left push clip in. But I think that may have been due to my Bulletpoint mounting system hitting the dash and not allowing it to seat fully. With the X12 it clicked in. There are no flimsy parts that I have noticed on either
@hieuvo57 I haven't paid too close attention to that. I think it just pops up briefly to let you know you are in climate mode. I don't think you can adjust settings for that screen
My #1 priority is audio quality during phone calls - particularly how well the person on the other line can hear me. In your video, it sounds like the person initially said the was an echo … as we all know, the cabin of the 4Runner is not quiet when in real-world settings … any comment on the audio quality when driving on the highway/at speeds around 50+ mph? Thank you!
I have always been the one talking from inside the vehicle on the phone. I never actually received a call from someone in my own vehicle, so I can't tell you 1st had. For the 1st few weeks, and now randomly, when I'm on a call I ask the other person if they can hear me clearly and I haven't had anyone tell me there was a quality issue yet. If there was an echo in the video I would guess it was because I was in my sealed garage if I remember correctly. The head unit comes with an external microphone as well that you can mount and use that would probably be useful to you. With this version and the last model, I didn't feel the need to use it since no one ever told me there was a sound quality issue. So, I kept them connected but tucked behind the head unit
Great video. I recently installed this - but now the compass in my center dash is gone. Do you know if this is normal or is it possible I missed some connection?
I'm not certain I understand the question. Can you email me some more details and maybe some pictures of what screen you're referring to? Brothersadventuresllc@gmail.com

It is an excellent head unit and great upgrade from the factory head unit. It does perform as expected and is quite a bit faster than the last version which i had for a year. Boots faster, connects faster, and the reverse camera has less of a delay when putting it into reverse. The 1 thing I wish was better is the radio reception. I get all my major stations I listen to just fine, But, there is 1 station that is further from my home that doesn't come in as good as the factory antennae pulled it in. Not a deal breaker as the upgrade is still night and day, but I may have a fix for this.
@AZOverland2017 I appreciate the honest feedback. Considering this as a Christmas gift for my wife. So I will be most likely installing it that last week of December. Can I ask what you're thinking as far as getting better signal? We live out in the country so a majority of the radio stations we listen to out here are 60 miles or more away. I'd like to get it all installed at one pop. Again I appreciate the info!
@AZOverland2017 also I saw someone else mention the microphone possibly needing to be swapped out. Are you still using the factory mic or did you install the one that came with it? It might be in the video but I kinda sped through it the first time.
@@InGratitudeIam Good questions. I'm still exploring the features, but I would say no on the temps. I don't have a TPMS on my 4Runner,.so I'm not quite sure about that one.

Do the steering wheel controls work with this head unit? Or is that something that has to be given up?
All steering wheel controls are still fully functional
