I was just having the same conversation with a friend the other day about this. The decline of the NFL came like a thief in the night, but it's getting obvious now.
This was the year I started watching football. I was 11 By mid season , I had grown too be a big fan of Bobby Hebert , John Elway , Vance Johnson , Mark Carrier , John Stephens & Dalton Hilliard
You might’ve had your head in the sand, he’s better known for doing coll sports esp fb - in ‘90 he also did analysis in the booth (was a fmr player) beside nantz who did play-by-play
As previously mentioned, Brant's main book of work in broadcasting has been with college football with ABC both prior and after his stint with CBS and most recently (before his retirement) calling ACC games on Raycom Sports.
Thank you for posting! Saw this at my friends house when we were 10 years old. After his game I had a new favorite NFL player!
I love the NFL of this era. I can’t even watch the NFL of today. Instead on Sundays this season, I’ll watch games like this. Way more enjoyable.
Simms almost had 600 yds passing last time vs Detroit and only one touchdown

Love waching giant games from the 80s on you tube
Same game they filmed When Harry Met Sally
So question: was this the Steve DeOssie game? He seemed to be everywhere.
Damn the 49ers said ok enough is enough
Being under 40 years old, I'm fairly familiar with announcers from the 80s, but I never heard of Tim Brandt.

Simms never had the offensive weapons he deserved. Plus, playing in that wind tunnel of a stadium never helped either!!
The year of the Magic Packers
