Many great Marcus Allen Memories as a Chiefs fan, so it felt weird that I once rooted against him. Carl Peterson getting the area businesses to buy up the last tickets to sell out the stadium to avoid the local blackout early on in his tenure, and seeing OJ Simpson saying that Howie Long didn't play as well as he use to because he went for the cut look were also hidden gems of this broadcast.

This was the last NFL game Joe Buck announced until 2001. In 96-97 he only did NFL games after the baseball playoffs ended, and then from 98-2000 he was off FOX's NFL coverage entirely.

The Cowboys got off to a great start in '98 but were too old and run down to maintain it for the whole season. The best example was against this wretched Eagles team - they played them in Dallas in Week 16 and barely pulled out a 13-9 victory in a game that came down to the wire. The Eagles were just as bad as they were here but the Cowboys had declined considerably just in a two-month span.

McNabb easily our greatest QB of the Super Bowl era but guys like Jaworski and Cunningham get more love. Was constantly blamed for these 2000’s teams coming up short while the fanbase and media to this day fawn over the defenses that always choked it big time in 4 NFC championship games and couldn’t stop a Patriots screen game in the SB.

Doug cosbie was outstanding One of the most underated players in our history. One of the best TE in cowboys history. I put him against any cowboy TE including Witten. When he was at his peak in early to mid 80s.

Really strange team the 85 cowboys. They had several games like this one where they were outstanding. And then they had several games where they were terrible. Very up down team.

I remember watching this live and hyped esp after Westy’s punt return but AJ with that pick, brooooo!!! Like Moose said he must be invisible.

Lesson learned, don't die while coaching for the Eagles. All you get is a couple of pieces of electrical tape on the helmet. No moment of silence. No pre-game prayer. Just the tape.

Old Soldier Field with the constant hum of aircraft overhead and a clear view of The Lake! As a Bears fan this was one of my favorite games of 1991. This was a very similar grinder of a battle just like the Vikings game in Week 1. Living in North Carolina I did not get to see this game until now due to being out of market. CBS Sportswire was my only lifeline to Bears games back then. Finally get to see this great match with my two favorite guys calling it. RIP John and Pat! Thanks for the upload!

These games in the 90 season always get me emotional. That team was so fun to watch leading into the no-huddle domination.

For whatever we think of him OJ had excellent analysis at 53:00 on the Theismann 1 yd TD run. Meredith said Gibbs made a great call but OJ said he thought Theismann did that on his own. It turned out OJ was correct, the play call in the huddle was a off tackle run for Riggins but Theismann called his own number and didn't tell anyone. Theismann bet on the Falcons selling out on Riggins, he was right and basically walked into the end zone. Madden and Summerall alluded to that play a few weeks later during the Redskins-Cowboys game with Madden suggesting Theismann run the same play again when he saw the Cowboys selling out on Riggins near the goal line.
