Would love to see a matching hi hat pedal to compliment and complete this line. I’d replace all my current pedals if you did. 👍
Replaced my DW with this pedal a couple of months ago. I really love this pedal. Terrific feel and the engineering is beautiful. Thank you, Jim, great tutorial.
Always a pleasure to watch Mr. Haler give a run down of Yamaha hardware. Well spoken, concise and always answers the questions I have prior to making a purchase. Yamaha is lucky to have him!
Great job Jim! You covered everything clearly and quickly. This is the best rundown I've seen. It seems that Yamaha considered everything with this new design. My pedal/ drumming purchase addiction is an issue but this is next in line. Hopefully the last...probably not lol! Cheers!
thanks yamaha i love my direct drive fp9 double. smoothest pedal ive had.
WOW OMG
can you buy a conversion kit from chain to direct drive
i just bought one . waiting on delivery. i got the double pedal in direct drive. lots of features im excited.
Let us know what you think. That’s the model I’m shopping.
im really liking it. its fast smooth. and i like all the features. the drives are smoother than pearl.
its the best pedal ive ever had. and ive had most pedals. its got slick pedalboard and the one touch turning spring adjustment is unreal.
I just got mine delivered today. Right out of the box, I'm really digging this so far. Can only imagine how good it'll feel when I get everything dialed in
I play heals down, would my foot come in contact with the spikes when i'm playing? The pedal looks fantastic, just down want my foot rolling over the spike knobs....
No
You should have made that beater in plastic too for people that play mesh heads. Felt beaters wear out mesh heads faster.
Is it longboard?
Can you convert the direct drive model to the chain/strap variant through Yamaha spare parts? (or vice versa)
Did you find out if this was possible? I tried looking for answers and couldn't find any
Yes it is possible to buy the direct link assembly and convert it to direct drive, or change from direct to chain/strap.
YAMAHA
That's great and all but what does it sound like lol
The pedal is silent.
A bass drum sounds like a bass drum.
Hope that helps!
@@tlkshowhst lol I commented on wrong video lol
Yamaha STILL have asymmetrical beaters on the double version, Tama too, so lazy.
They work perfectly.. not lazy.
This guy just looks MANLY
