Great review you know more about the car than the dealers. Went into the local dealer and they basically said it had 4 wheels and a 5th to steer it with . The Everest is nearly as good as Territory from 10 years ago. Got to love the metal badge on the back of the seat to Brand the unsuspecting owner with Platinum after a day at the beach in the blazing Australian sun.
Zimbabwean accent detected. Or at least some southern African country between SA and Zambia. But it's a mixed Rhodie (Zim) accent. Can't understand why all these carmakers send cars with these heated seats to warm climates. We don't need them. Does it hurt them to put in air-conditioned seats? And why the added cost of adblue? Not great for us rural based. That bending said this is a desirable SUV, bloody expensive. And very well explained walk through. Thanks!

The dealership where we got the Everest from has not had a client select the 18's from factory which has been delivered yet. When we see one, we will be sure to check it out.
The front left and front right PDC sensors only detect objects within 25cm. It doesn’t give enough time to react if there is a bollard you didn’t notice over on the passenger side. According to the manual it should detect at 60cm … but it doesn’t. Also the PDC alerts are a lot more faint than on the previous generation.
I’d love to order one I am just a bit out off by the reputation Ford has had with transmission and tail shaft problems. The way customers have been treated has been disappointing.
10 speed torque converter transmission used on these cars are pretty reliable, I have a Commodore 2018 ZB Calais V, V6 AWD with 9 speed version of it, 9 speed GM's GT60 transmission which was designed to handle 400nm power, I am quite satisfied with it's performance, and the transmission paired with new v6 diesel engine on 2023 Ford Everest is "Ford 10R80 or GM 10L80/10L90" which was developed based on GM's GT60 transmission, I say this because both GM and Ford teams worked together on R&D for GM's GT50-GT60-GT65 and Ford's 10R80

Thank you for the feedback. The model line ups that I reference are the current Australian offerings. Titanium was available in the previous generation as the top of the line. That has been replaced by the Platinum in the version that we covered in the video. Thanks for the great comments
@@braamkotze473 yes he is, because there are gaps in the centre console that you can see the transmission tunnel, the centre console is movable along with the instrument cluster, just a couple of examples. In terms of fit and finish of the interior does that sound like a well built and designed car?
You examined the platinum interior? It leaves the sport version and lower models for dead. If you think the platinum is bad you’ll think those are an abomination.
@@ENDWOKEDEGENERACYI have and it’s very funny that you think there is any difference in quality of the interior between the models, there isn’t really that much higher end difference between what you get in the platinum, different instrument cluster screen, ambient lighting and some minor dash panels.

Hi Greate overview, do you know if the recovery points are ok to pull your car if you are bogged down or just for delivery use?
As I understand it they are what Ford calls rated recovery points. So should be able to. Would check with your local Ford Dealer to make sure.

No copper red available in Australia at the moment. Closest would be Equinox Bronze, but its more to the brown than the red.

Ford have out priced itself with the new model. Probably great but a big no chance for me

That makes sense. The Titanium has the 2.0lt Bi-Turbo engine. It's more economical than the V6, a great engine!
