- This Intamin megacoaster opened in 2001 and has consistently been ranked as one of the top steel coasters on the planet. What sets it apart from similar coasters is its 82° drop that makes a 74° right-hand turn at the top of the 184 foot plunge to start the ride.

That first drop is intense! I sat on the left side all the way in the back, and I got pulled all of my seat so hard when the drop twisted to right! Good times :D

@@janisozolins7 Doubtful. It'd need catastrophic failure for that to happen. You're more likely to die in a car accident driving to one of these places.

Yesterday I rode it several Times, after 15 years. It was even better than i could remember. Best coaster i've ridden in my opinion. The firstdrop, omg so intense. Airtime at its best, overbanked curves ☺fast twist, headchoppers. Gotta love the low profile intamin trains.
When I went on it last year it was epic also its the worlds best steel coaster

Das Ding sollte im Europapark stehen, einfach nur unwürdig das Theming (wenn man‘s überhaupt so nennen kann) und ein lachhaftes Stationshäuschen für diese absolute Hammer Attraktion!
Die Bäume sind doch schon ein 100x besseres Theming als das, was Silver Star oder BlueFire zu bieten haben... :p

The speed seems pretty fast on this ride, so I would want to ride it to try it out.
It is fuckin faaaast
When I was there the operatores were pretty slow. We waited more than 50 minutes and the park was only 20% full (We asked an employee). They needed more than 3 minutes to start one train.
But yeah. best steel coaster I have ridden so far.
My record is riding the expedition gforce is 26 times at one day :D

@@slurpaciousthefirst7376 you wouldn't believe it, but plenty of people do this. If you are at a park on a less busy day, and no one else is in line, and the ride ops don't make you get off, then it's possible.

It used to be, but the actual brake has been removed so it no longer slows down the train in that section. The brake at 1:32 still works though.

The definition of thrilling a depends on what elements a coaster features. Some people find loops, corkscrews, heart-line rolls, cobra rolls, and bat wings thrilling. While other people see huge/steep drops, banked curves, air-time hills, helix, tight turns, and dark tunnels make a thrilling coaster. It all depends on what you find thrilling. Arguably, Leviathan could be more thrilling than Expedition GeForce because of it's 306 foot drop, banked curves, airtime hills, along with it's tight horseshoe turn near the entrance of Canada's Wonderland. But, Expedition GeForce could be more thrilling because of it's famous over-bank turn and near misses of the supports it produces during the coaster, along with it's curves and twisted track. Also different coaster manufacturers have a factor on the thrill of a coaster. Intamin and B&M create excellent hyper/Giga coasters so I wouldn't necessarily see a huge difference between the two manufactures mentioned other than quality, maintenance, and safety which can be slightly or considerably different. So, Expedition GeForce and Leviathan look equally thrilling in my opinion. :-)
I'd stick to my guns on Leviathan. I had to replace an axle on my car, so do you think I could trust this axle breaking Intamin Death Machine?

Banked turn on the first drop followed by long swooping banked turns through the trees. I haven't been on this one but the whole ride experience looks the same.
