Thank you vary much for these instructional videos. I have shared the link for them to my local hobby shop Discord and my favorite Warhammer Discord channel. Bless you for taking the time to create "Hobby Time. You're a good teacher, thank you again.
I like it, I find that just making an extra of everything doesn't add a significant amount to the workload. The thinking part is done already, the crafting bit is easy.
Three things happened after i came across this video. 1) I immediately subbed, 2) I watched every single video on this channel back to back, 3) I ordered some foam and a hot wire cutting table. Fantastic content, sir.
@@OkayHobbyTime thank you so much for your respond brother. i'm so happy if you can give me any tips for my work at my video. I just learn how to make medieval house from scratch. thank you. Best regards and God Bless You.
Mate, please, in the future share with us the schemes you make or at least the exact dimensions - I’d love to create a building like this, but am not certain whether I’ll be able to keep a good scale :/
@@OkayHobbyTime Excellent! On a side - yesterday I made my first attempt to scratch building, beginning with wooden barricades from your tutorial. As for the first contact with XPS and wire cutters I assume it turned out pretty well - thank you for the impulse to start this part of hobby ^^
@@everhate1432 Hi there, a 1-story version of this build is now available to download. The only difference is the brick section below which is built from 1cm by 1cm by 2cm bricks.
You can use one as long as it has a low-heat setting. Personally, I'm not a fan since it doesn't provide a lot of working time (I'm constantly readjusting the pieces I place down).
Thank you! Glad to hear you've been enjoying the videos. I use the "guider pro" by Shifting Lands. I still use the stock guide for certain cuts as well.
Do you find it necessary to use the "Black Magic Base Coat" any? I see you are airbrush priming black, so obviously not on this build. What primer are you using on it? I hate to waste my nice model primer on a huge piece like this.
I find that a base coat of craft paint on this type of foam is plenty enough for durability. Sometimes I airbrush on a base coat if there's a bunch of small nooks (like this build). And I'll usually use the standard Vallejo stuff.

Wow, what a building!
This is my new favorite hobby channel. Easy to follow and some awesome builds. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Locke! Really glad to hear that.
I think that I will always follow this type of "build two" tactic - looks amazing!

Thank you! Really glad to hear all of that. Welcome aboard and good luck with the builds.
I don't know why but it tickles me that to make foam look like stone it's tumbled with little stones
Awesome! Ready to put some treasure tokens inside those houses
That's right! Thanks Manuel!
Dang, those look really nice!
Thank you! 😀
as always a top building!
next please a big broken mansion, a ruined magic shop and a witch house! :D
Thank you, Fraenky! Magic/poison shop and hags hut are on my list. 😀
@@OkayHobbyTime well then up, quit your job so you have more time to tinker and get to work :D
Spectacular result - I especially love the wooden details (rafters, planks, shingles, etc) - Great work!
Thank you! 😀
Awesome job! I'm gonna have to use this video when I make my houses coming up here.
Thank you! Good luck with your builds.

They look good - I'm surprised you don't use mod podge to increase the durability of your builds.
Thanks Ryan! I used to add it but ended up cutting it from my process. This type of foam covered in craft paint has been plenty durable for me.
Can't you use a gluegun, or is that too hot for the material?

What kind of guide do you use with your foam cutter? Great channel! I just consumed a ton of your videos 😁

Just curious, what paint do you use to prime the buildings?
Just regular acrylic craft paint. Either Apple Barrel or FolkArt brand. When I prime with an airbrush I switch to Vallejo black.
What kind of foam cutter are you using?
Hey, the foam cutter I'm using is a Proxxon hot wire cutter.
