I really like the production of the video and how good the wood looks. Thank you very much for these videos, you inspire me to make mine too. thank you.
Great rendering, love the structural completeness, and all the planks and flagstones are certainly a labor of love. Also, excellent sightlines through the various breaks in the walls and roof.
I really like the technique you're working on. I learned a lot from your videos. thank you for sharing. I was recently trying to do something new in my video. so I can learn several different ways like yours. thank you.
Mate, you must be a freaking magician - this is by far your best construction! Your videos encouraged me to start making my own terrains out of foam so I am starting a new chapter in my hobby life; thanks for what you are doing and keep up the stunning work!
This is a great build! Very well done! Personally, I would have given the whole thing a layer of Mod Podge for rigidity because some of those wood pieces are holding on wih nothing else but a bead of glue :S Also, to amp up the "reality" factor, you might ana consider doing two things: if this place is abandonned and being reclaimed by nature, alot of the wooden board will be in a rotten state, darkening them where there's large ares of moss and near the base where the structure would meet the ground would add that wet and overgrown look. The second thing would be to vary the shades of green used for your moss and flocking. Good work bud! :)
Thanks Jd! Glad you liked it. I was thinking the same thing after finishing this build regarding the darker green and have already picked up a contrast paint I plan on airbrushing around the mossy areas. I'll try to feature it in a future build.
I love your stuff. Is there somewhere I can get copies of the templates you use? I'm not very well versed in things like illustrator but I love the aesthetic and style you've chosen for your stuff.
Thank you so much! The templates I create are quite rough but I'm working on a way to get them available for people that are interested. At least for the more popular builds.
For a future build as i'd be interested to see your take on it.....a cellar/rootcellar/simple basement? but made in such a way its useable with some of your previous builds?
That chapel is so well done! Couple that with your super chill voice and it won’t long and can say I’ve been here since the beginning. Thanks for another great build. Will we get to see those miniatures painted up as well?
Really should consider the playability aspect more on these builds. Love it, don't get me wrong man. But as is, only the player facing that hole is going to be able to see inside and moving minis is going to be rough as to make it unusable in a practical manner. I'd make that roof removable so that your players can see inside, move around, and appreciate your detail work inside.
This piece was built as a line of sight blocker for a themed table of mine. But for sure-if interior play is required then the build can be adjusted no problem. Thanks for watching!
I didn't see it in your description, so figured I'd add it here. How do you do your templating? Do you have a site or Patreon for template access? This was a very inspirational piece. Great job and thank you.
Thank you! 😀 I make all my templates in Adobe Illustrator since that's what I'm most familiar with. Currently, they're not available, but I'm working on a way to make it happen.
I just discovered your channel and I think you're doing great! I like how you have appropriated a panoply of techniques known in the industry, but that something unique to you comes out! You deserve more views, keep up the good work! And where did you find those cool looking white organization compartment on your desk?
For a quicker hold what glue would you recommend, maybe something not as instant as super glue but not as slow as wood? This low temp glue gun is getting messy haha.
I do everything I can to avoid the glue gun 😂. It just makes crafting unenjoyable for me. I use quick dry wood glue so it's not too slow of a dry time (definitely slower than a glue gun, though). But the working time that comes with the slower dry time is preferred, personally. I'd recommend trying out different things until you find the best fit.
amzn.to/3HTRqx9 is the specific one I use. But they're all the same. Search for "hot wire cutter" and see what's there. Just make sure the temp is controllable.
Oh man, the way you made a gothic arch is so useful!
Thank you! Glad you like it. 🙌
Easily my favourite so far. Structurally sound yet it had the abandoned building look once complete. Love the moss overhang. Keep up the great work.
Thanks Jordan! 😀 This is one of my favourites as well.
Yet ANOTHER Great One, good sir.!.!.! Nice... Very Nice.!.!.!.!
Thanks again! Glad you're enjoying the videos.
I really like the production of the video and how good the wood looks. Thank you very much for these videos, you inspire me to make mine too. thank you.
Thank you! I'm glad you're feeling inspired. 😀
Dang this looks fantastic! Thanks for sharing, its really cool to see the process
Thank you! Glad to hear you enjoyed it.
Very cool build! I really dig it. I shared it on the Verrotwood FB page
Thanks for sharing! Glad you enjoyed the video. 😀
Maybe another idea,
Can you make a castle gatehouse or something like that.
Or some great looking walls
Thanks Bernie! I'm happy to say all those items are in my book of ideas and I'll eventually be getting around to them. 😀
That's one amazing build. Definitely love the overgrown part and the interior!!
Thank you! 😀 That part was really fun to make.
Great rendering, love the structural completeness, and all the planks and flagstones are certainly a labor of love. Also, excellent sightlines through the various breaks in the walls and roof.
Thank you! The comment is appreciated. 😀
Damn that is a super sharp build! You have a nice recognizable style with your builds
Thank you! 😀
I'm currently making my own that is heavily inspired by this, but then in cardboard and wood. Amazing build and very inspired!
Thank you and glad to hear that. I hope it went / is going well!
This is becoming my favorite yt channel really fast
Thank you! 😀
I really like the technique you're working on. I learned a lot from your videos.
thank you for sharing.
I was recently trying to do something new in my video. so I can learn several different ways like yours. thank you.
Thank you! Glad it was helpful. 😀
Excellent work!
Thank you! 😀
Awesome detail. Looks a bit rough to play the interior, but I'd put it on my table any day.
Thank you! 😀 And I agree, the roof would most likely have to come off to achieve a full playable interior.
I love it
Really cool! I think your wood texture process is very impressive
Thank you! 😀
I gotta say, I’m really loving the content your coming out with. Definitely makes me want to start making more terrain.
Thank you! Glad to hear your feeling inspired. 😀

Haha, thank you! And glad to hear that-scratch building your own terrain can be very fulfilling.
J'adore, c'est vraiment très chouette!
Merci!
Incredible build. This gives me so many ideas!
Thank you! And glad to hear that.
Love your work
Thanks John-really glad to hear that!
You really need to do a building from Warcraft like one of the houses in Stormwind or something. Your craft just have the wickedest details to them
I spent a ridiculous amount of time playing WoW in the past so it's only a matter of time before this happens!
So cool!
Thanks, Brooke!
Love this!
Thank you! 😀
oh yes, a new video jeah! :D
and another building to rebuild - keep it up, need a few more
Thanks Fraenky! There's more on the way. 😀
@@OkayHobbyTime I can hardly wait 🤩
Wow. That looks really nice. 💪
Thank you! 😀
I haven't played DnD much and have no real reason to watch your videos but God damn I can't stop watching this channel for the past week. Subbed❤
I'm really glad to hear that-thanks!
so true! it's just

Hi, love the video! Could anyone tell me where you get the "tear away foliage" from at 11:15 in the video?
Hi there, it's made by a company called Woodland Scenics (@ModelSceneryExpert) You can find this stuff in most hobby shops.
For a future build as i'd be interested to see your take on it.....a cellar/rootcellar/simple basement? but made in such a way its useable with some of your previous builds?
I've always wanted to make a classic basement / cellar similar to what's in the Diablo games. It's on my to-do list!
That chapel is so well done! Couple that with your super chill voice and it won’t long and can say I’ve been here since the beginning. Thanks for another great build. Will we get to see those miniatures painted up as well?
Thank you! The comment is really appreciated. I'll try to feature them in a video down the road once painted. 🙂
I’m really surprised that xps doesn’t need to be sealed or primed for paint to adhere to it. Awesome job!
Thanks! And yeah, the bond is surprisingly good. It's a very enjoyable material to paint.
My favorite build of yours so far. Really gave me some interesting ideas to pursue.
Thank you! Glad to hear it. 😀
Where are the window frames from, it seems that they are somewhat crucial to the build which is really cool!!!!
Thingiverse! They're a free file under "medieval windows"
Really should consider the playability aspect more on these builds. Love it, don't get me wrong man. Another crisp build. The extra foliage really brought some life to the piece. Where did you get the files for the doors and windows?
Thank you! Windows are from Thingiverse and the doors are from a company called Cast n Play. 🙂
I didn't see it in your description, so figured I'd add it here. How do you do your templating? Do you have a site or Patreon for template access?

Absolutely awesome build! Subscribed. But where did you get the stl for that Iron Cage?
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. The cage is from a company called Vae Victis Miniatures.
I just discovered your channel and I think you're doing great! I like how you have appropriated a panoply of techniques known in the industry, but that something unique to you comes out! You deserve more views, keep up the good work! And where did you find those cool looking white organization compartment on your desk?
Thank you! Glad you've been enjoying the videos. The organizers are from a Polish company called HobbyZone.
Where did you get your window files? I'm loving the look of your crafts and I'm looking into getting into it myself.
Thanks! The windows were found on Thingiverse: www.thingiverse.com/thing:3646814

Looking super detailed! Amazing work!
Question tho, how come you don’t seal or protect the XPS, eg by using Mod Podge?
Thank you! I used to-but I found that it wasn't necessary since these pieces don't get handled roughly.
oh yeah, make your templates, with dimensions and instructions for all your buildings, accessible in some way *.*
Beautiful work! What are the chances of purchasing your 3d printed windows and doors, etc?
Thank you! The windows are available on Thingiverse under "medieval windows". The door is from Cast n' Plays town series.
Huzzah!
Great terrain! Can I ask where did you get the windows? Im looking for similar printabe ones, but I can't find any good ones. Thanks!
Thank you! And sure, they can be found on Thingiverse, listed under "medieval windows".
Would love to know where the files for those windows came from.
Check out Thingiverse for medieval windows. And the doors come from a company called Cast n Play. Thanks for watching!
@@OkayHobbyTime thanks for the reply. Excellent work, very impressed!
Where did you get the stuff you used for the vines?
The product is called "foliage" and it's made by Woodland Scenics. 🙂
Can you tell me what models were from in this shot? 12:05
Hi, the minis are from Highland Miniatures December monthly release
hey do you have a link for your wire cutter with a dial im in the uk and cant find one anywhere for some reason
amzn.to/3HTRqx9 is the specific one I use. But they're all the same. Search for "hot wire cutter" and see what's there. Just make sure the temp is controllable.
Sorry where are the stl files for doors and windows from?
You can find the windows on Thingiverse under "medieval windows". Doors are a modified STL from a seller called Cast n' Play.
What program do you use to create the 2D models?
I'm using Adobe Illustrator. There might be better (and cheaper) alternatives, but I'm really used to this program.
Do you have any plans to share your templates?
Hi Peter, I'm working on making my templates available. I'll make sure to put out an announcement once that happens. 🙂
@@OkayHobbyTime Sounds great!
