Saturn Vue Exhaust Removal & Oil Pan Replacement Instructional How To
Вставка
- Опубліковано 22 лют 2017
- My first ever how-to (how-NOT-to?!) video with a Saturn Vue removing the front Y Pipe exhaust component to access and remove the oil pan. This shows a lot of what not to do along with rather detailed instructions on what TO do. Enjoy!
Audio tracks are off the Tea Tree - Ancient City EP - Авто та транспорт
Great video, definitely feel confident to do this job now. Thanks
This was a great video my friends and family didn’t thought I would mess up the exhaust on bolts! But the PB Blaster worked its Magic but you have to spray it top to bottom and give it time I would say overnight and and a second application wait two hours and I used a breaker bar! Thanks a lot for saving me money thumbs up Dude
glad ya made it through! congrats
i like your idea PB blaster and go have beer!
You deserve a thumbs up 👍👍
ooh, thanks, and I see ya gave me two, super bonus.
very good work and good presentation
I know this comment is a bit late but heat always helps with rust if you don’t have an impact, it can also help with saving the old bolts from breaking if your lucky
I APPRECIATE YOU DUDE
thank you. That's nice to hear.
This only works for the 2004-2007 v6 Saturn Vue. It also works for any Honda with the 3.5 v6.
Thanks. I'm dreading the shit out of this. Goin for it now.
Got a vue with new exhaust. Removing y pipe was EASY
Cool.
Nice Video, the GF has a 2005 Saturn Vue and its leaking at the join of the motor and transmission. I'm hoping it's just the oil pan. It has 143K miles so it could be the rear main seal. The oil pan is dry on all 3 sides but the back so unless the seal happened to fail at the rear of the pan only it will need the tranny removed which sucks. And of course I just notice you posted 6 years ago...Head slap.
6 years ago video comments still get seen and I send you all my encouragement and gusto to tackle the project ahead of you... which may or may not be waayyyyyy more than either of us would ever want to undertake.
I have to do this. Thanks. 2006 Saturn vue oil plug stripped by a Walmart thug.
What paradise do you live in that bottom of a 2005 looks like that? Damn!!
Florida, of course! Paradise in every way except political, social, and educational.
Hi great video.Wondering what year saturn vue did you change oil pan on?
lol, that's a great question. I don't know.
Hello, friends, if you can tell me, is the 3.6 engine considered a weak engine? 🙋♂
Is this same oil pan on the 2012 GMC Acadia front wheel drive?
I do not know the answer to that question. Hopefully someone else will be able to chime in.
Im late but thank you
you're right on time! You're welcome!
Will it work for a 08 Saturn vue xr
I don't know man, will it?
Is this on the AWD Saturn Vue or the FWD?
Jackson holmes doesnt make a difference
Do you see a driveshaft going to the rear diff.?
Hello brother, I would like you to find the position of the transmission filter, please
lol
@@Bythirteen Please brother this will work well if you help me find the location of the filter V6 3.5l
@@charleskervens4865 mmmm I'll pass.
@@BythirteenOk broh
Where do you live.. and will you do my 06 Saturn vue? I’ll buy the parts 😭
Earth, unfortunately.
What a generous offer. Absolutely not, lol.
Great job, except oil pan side story.
win some lose some!
Breaker bar? That was a cheater pipe on a ratchet driver, and you are lucky you did not break the ratchet (ask me how I know, done that a couple too many times, myself). A proper breaker bar will save your tools and keep you from breaking your knuckles as well (when the ratchet breaks and your knuckles slam into metal pieces). Thanks for the video, it was helpful.
.
Cheater pipe sounds too sleazy. I prefer breaker bar. :-X
You should invest in better ratchets, sir.
muffle it to how much sensor
is that question? or are you having a stroke?
Should of ran the engine for 20 minutes or so, or used a torch, to heat up exhaust so that head would of never snapped
lol I'd NEVER suggest working on a hot car, *especially* on exhaust components. Now if you really think that a torch is going to alleviate years of cyclical thermal loading, by all means, give it a shot. Can't hurt and occasionally works. Seized exhaust components are commonplace though, and only as inconvenient as the lack of preparation.
Nice job, but why not just re-tap the drain plug? Could have saved some money and a lot of work.
Cuz tapping the drain plug won't fix the massive crack in the oil pan where oil was leaking out.
@@Bythirteen Tapping is too much work. I used Oversize Piggyback Stainless Steel Self Tapping Oil Pan from an online story. You can use Epoxy to glue the outer big plug to the pan. The new smaller threaded plug inside the new big plug is easy to remove and install. No more leaks for me.
Y pipe are NOT 14 mm.
helpful suggestion.
The nut is metric M10 x 1.25 thread pitch.
You just described the diameter and fineness of the thread itself. That has no correlation to the size of the nut or bolt. Don't know what you're trying to prove here bud.
