    total agreement about an officer and a gentleboy. could not buy that bobby got through it so easily. same with accidental terrorist. cars and sticker price would be something hank would know almost as much as propane. church hopping is definitely one of hank's worst episodes because of his pride and stubbornness for something he himself self-proclaimed/assumed in the first place and doing something so low as blackmailing the reverend.

    I can explain the diabetic stuff since it runs in my family. I think Bill was pre-diabetic which can be reversed. I think the doctor was just being mean and telling him to give up. And the reason for the wheel chair is diabetes can cause circulation in the legs to be damaged so much it's better to just cut them off. And also while it is wise to always check your insulin if you can get fit and are capable of knowing everything you put in your body you don't really need to use it thus "curing" it. Enjoyed the slower pace of your video though.

      Sorry to hear it runs in your family. I also have diabetics in my family so I know how hard it is. To be honest I wouldn't have placed this episode on the list if they said Bill was pre-diabetic. But they made it out that he is diabetic then all of a sudden he's cured. I still find the whole wheel chair thing over the top since there was nothing wrong with them. You did provide a good explaination about it. I'm glad you enjoyed the video with it's slower pace.

      Still, if you're like Bill/Boogie and put it back on or have poor self control, it becomes deadly, which is why it's not easily "cured".
      It requires pure dedication, monitoring, and statistics to make sure it's remitted. I'm not sure if Sugar should be classified as a drug, but it's basically like fighting Sugar Withdrawal.

    I just hate Life A Losers Manuel, it completely fucks up the established continuity, what the hell were they thinking hiring writers who don't know the show and it's established history and having them write the important episodes like this one and Cotton's death which was very badly handled, everything we knew about Luanne's father and her backstory was completely changed.

      It's actually the reverse.
      Type 1 is the life-taker.
      Type 2 can be a life-taker if you're Boogie. Or Bill.
      Type 1 doesn't let you produce insulin at all, and there's no way to treat it except regular insulin shots.

      I did notice some faults, firstly, Peggy's mother was mentioned several times over the course of the series to be critical and harsh like in Peggy's magic sx feet where she was shown complaining about her daughter, granted she was whining. Another time was in fun with jane and jane where Peggy explicity states that her mother was harsh and oppressive, and this came out three seasons earlier. Another thing, minor, Violetta, Bill's cousin, was said to have died in the episode Blood and Sauce where she died in her sleep, I've met people who've passed this way myself. One point that you could have brought up in Accidental terrorist is that in season 5, Hank bought a truck from pickup truck heaven from a never again seen salesman and therefore never bought all of his trucks from Tom Hammond. Hank knowing truck parts also doesn't necessarily mean he knew about prices, in another episode, his father sold him a lemon, so him not knowing what a car is actually worth is a little more believable, plus its meant to show him that you can't just trust someone blindly, despite how long you've known them. Also, in Church Hopping, Reverend Strupp does call out Hank's pettiness when she tells him to grow up. But you've also made good points, like Hoyt being portrayed differently than how he was built towards because, yeah, that guy doesn't seem the type to hide from his ex-wife and that Luanne could have handled him being in jail, especially because this means she had two terrible parents, and she was 17, not 6 like he is implying. Hoyt should have just been like another brother of Peggy's or even a relative of Lucky's so it would be more believable, like his dad and Luanne being happy to meet her father in law, or something like that. Another good point was Bobby being uncharacteristically selfish in Born Again on the fourth of July by stealing Peggy's money. because in earlier episodes, he did steal a little but felt horrible right after for it. In Bill Gathers Moss, the reason Hank got involved is because he is the block captain and he explicitly states that whoever Bill chooses as his roommate affect the block, and honestly, Bill had really low standards, including Jimmy Wichard being someone he would have let live with him, the same guy who ordered Bobby to walk across a NASCAR track in use and almost got run over. One last thing that I see your point in, is yeah, Gilbert did not inform Bill of the family land being sold and didn't offer him a cut, so it's very hypocritical of him to deny Bill selling the recipe. On Bill's side, I see at as him being the bigger man in that regard since he did offer his cousin a say, but you're right in saying that he didn't, or shouldn't, have to. Your opinions are perfectly valid, but it seems like you've just some details. I've watched each episode of King of the Hill numerous times, so I've memorized these things. I am of course not challenging your intelligence, I'm just pointing these things out just because I want to help a little.

    • @joetophat2121

      Thanks for taking the time to write out some problems with the video instead of just clicking dislike or giving me one word comments that don't tell me anything. The first point about Peggy's mom is a fair one. Though I stand by my opinion of the episode being a bad one. I think she was a little too harsh compared to how she was in earlier episodes like I remember Mono and she doesn't even look like the same person. For Blood and Sauce, I don't recall them mentioning Violetta dying in her sleep but that could just be bad memory on my part. I still don't see what the issue was in regard to the recipe. Yeah, I should have mentioned that episode where Hank bought a truck from someone else but I stand by that it's hard to believe Hank wouldn't know about car prices. Yes he bought a lemon from his dad but he stated it taught him the value of a dollar. Plus he was young and a little more naive at the time. When he was going to buy a new truck he did told Bobby to pretend like he hates it. I get that the point of the episode was about blind trust but he goes against Hank's character to be that naive about cars. In Church Hopping, I admit I should have brought up Reverend Strupp calling out Hank but the episode itself makes it seem like we should be on Hank's side. For Bill Gathers Moss, I'm not familar with how much power block captains weild but I don't see how Hank has any right to have a say in who Bill's roommate is since it is Bill's house. I could be wrong but that's my opinion. You definetly remembered things about King of the Hill episodes I had forgotten. You did make valid points. Thanks again for taking the time to point out these faults. I will try harder in the future when I do videos like this.

    Pigmalion & Hanks Bully are the two worst episodes of this series. I think. U do a great job picking out the inconsistencies of the series. I agree. Mike Judge & Greg Daniels had less to do with the series after season 6 and it shows. Big Time. I still miss this show. It’s my favorite. I wish it would come back

  • @robertoso8796
    @robertoso8796 10 місяців тому

    i have to begrudgingly agree with most of your choices because i still like most of these despite their glaring inconsistencies.
    in regards to the bill roommate episode, hank was right. whether he intervened in bill's decision before or after he picked a stupid roommate he was going to be inconvenienced by bill's choices regardless. bill is lucky to have hank in his corner and he doesn't have to agree with him but he understands he'd be dead in days without hank.

    • @joetophat2121
      @joetophat2121  10 місяців тому

      Hank didn't do a very good job at picking a roommate for Bill. He didn't even consider how Bill would feel about it. Bill is the one who has to live with the guy. The episode would have been better if Hank stayed out of it from the start because he's tired of bailing out Bill. Only intervening when he sees how far things went. As is, Hank is partially to blame for what happened. Also, Hank has no right to say who gets to be Bill's roommate since Bill owns the house. Episode falls into the trap a lot of later episodes fell by having Hank right all the time.

    • @robertoso8796
      @robertoso8796 10 місяців тому

      @@joetophat2121 i think we can all agree hank always has bill's best interests in mind. your points are all valid and hank doesn't have a right to tell bill hat to do but in the context of the show we all already know bill's gonna bang on hank's door the minute he realizes his plan is in shambles.
      we the audience know bill is essentially a toddler that constantly has to be tackled before he can touch the stove.

    • @joetophat2121
      @joetophat2121  10 місяців тому +1

      @@robertoso8796 I get what you're saying. that actually is a good description of Bill. All I'm saying is that the episode was poorly written. When Hank took charge and picked the roommate without giving Bill a say, he became partially responsible for the mess Bill's in. Yet the episode ignores that.

    • @robertoso8796
      @robertoso8796 10 місяців тому

      hank is not infallible and i agree he made a poor choice but whatever bill chose would have likely been as bad or worse. unfortunately by this point bill has willingly surrendered some of his autonomy because in the end it feels like he appreciates hank being there to get him out of every pickle he stumbles into.

      the episode where bobby goes to school for clowning is by far the most awful episode of the show, surpassing even Pigmalion for me. even the dodgeball subplot was bland, none of them could play dodgeball very well, they lost the ball, and then didn't try to get it back.
      "there was nothing, anyone could have done." lame.
      the professor is unbearable and gets no comeuppance. he basically ruined Bobby's humorous side.
      It didnt get a single laugh out of me and it sucked so bad that i couldn't finish the episode, i finally just turned it off when bobby's getting booed on the stage.
      theres no lesson or moral, or heartfelt moment either. it just sucks.
