I've had mine for over 16 years and there is nothing cheap about it Matt! Unless you own one you shouldn't make that comment. It's ford built tough and still runs strong and its a 2000 GT convertible. Interior is original and still in great shape for leather go figure
I've shredded countless Audi's and wrxs on a twisty road with long straights We call it resiovor rd in ct. You never even got into the motor To see what the car can do.
I own a 02' Mustang GT and i love the interior because it a blank canvas for you to pick and choose how you wanna upgrade it and mine is perfect driving around corners and on straight aways. Mine also has magnaflows instead of flowmasters so mine sounds meaner and i rebuilt the 4.6 V8 myself so it hits about 180mph so if you think about it this is a perfect project car!
Honestly these are my favorite mustangs ever. You do the right exhaust system with these (off-road X pipe with an SLP loudmouth 1 cat back) and they sound extremely mean and amazing and honestly one of the most fun manual cars I've ever owned. Plus there's so much customization you can do with them.
I actually prefer the "primitive" controls, especially on a "muscle car". Newer car control's are more complicated than they need to be, I think just to show they can be. Why have 86 buttons to control what 3 can do?
RomVlad and those stupid backup cameras too why do you need those I was born in the early 2000’s and my father was the one to teach me how to back up without a camera. When someone gets so used to the technology inside their car they aren’t going to know how to backup or honestly nowadays drive the stupid car. Because now there is autopilot for your car. Anyway I didn’t mean for this to be a large comment but hey. Have a wonderful day
@@warrenunruh7433 My first car was a 1970 Formula Firebird. It had the ducktail and rear window louvers. Back in 1987 a backup camera was some Buck Rogers shit my friend. Backing that bad boy was a leap of faith and clenched teeth. Trust me.
As an owner of one of these, I think mine drives great. However I take meticulously good care of it and I have an aftermarket suspension setup. I drove mine through some mountains a while back and it was a great experience.
I am a true american muscle car fan, and I love Mustangs. This is a great review, and after owning a 2003 Mustang GT for two and a half years, I must say I agree on a lot of your points. I honestly don't care too much if the interior is modern or not, as long as I keep it clean and functional. My brakes are not spongey at all though, mine give great feedback and work extremely well, so I guess the car you drove might have been low on brake fluid or possibly worn discs/pads. The horsepower might not be the best, but the torque makes it one hell of a fun ride! Suspension is too soft though, but if you lower it and stiffen up the chassis correctly, it will ride literally 100 times better! Again, great review!
As a 2000 v6 and v8 owner, the clutch is not heavy at all. Keep in mind it is an American v8 MUSTANG which was specifically designed with no sugar coating. It is the working class muscle car. It's not a corvette, which is why it is as popular as it is. Also, if he would actually do some research on the car before putting out a video like this, it would be appreciated. Mustangs are made extremely lighter than most muscle cars such as the comaro, charger, and challanger making it much more confident in corners. I can whip mine through a corner like that no sweat. Muscle cars, especially a mustang are not meant to be driven with your nose and pinkies up. Get a grip.
You seem to have talked down the American Muscle Car, Like in the interior was laughable? First the car was made for PERFORMANCE. Ford will not give you Lexus Interior plus v8 engine for its low Price. You seem to have interest in tuner cars considering you are scrawny so figures. MUSTANG NATION.
ShaneM44 I'm so glad you stupid haters are here to make everyone miserable... He sold his BRZ because e was having financial isues... Then he got a mini cooper S. THEN he got is 2015 ecoboost.
I have a 2002 Mustang GT in perfect condition with low milage. it is an iconic American muscle car. That is why I love it and intend to keep it. I don't need fancy stuff inside or smart gadgets. i love its simplicity and ruggedness.
I had a 2000 Mustang GT manual, also red, purchased new in late 1999. The clutch is very heavy right out of the factory. I put on a lot of mods including headers, Flowmasters, 3.73 rear gear, intake, and short shifter. These helped me narrowly beat a friend's 1999 Cobra (also modded) at the drag strip. It sounded fantastic and was a ton of fun. I had the car nearly 5 years when it was totalled in an accident by a Focus that had lost its focus on a wet street. I enjoyed this review as a trip down memory lane - thanks Matt!
I dont get why this guy is in the car.. look at him , I have never seen a man with arms like that. no shit everything has a hard feel to it. he got arms of a wrench.
These cars respond really well to some thoughtful modifications. The stock springs are way too soft, and there's no Panhard rod out back, so your tuning work is cut out for you.
The 94-04 (SN95) class of mustang gets a bad rap in certain departments because they are not being tested new. Here's why...when the car is being built of the assembly line, all the rubber seals, upholstery, and many other interior bits are going to fit great for the first 5-7 years. As the the car gets older with age, these bits get brittle and old. Its just the way of life...I have 96 & 02 Mustang so I definitely would know. Thank goodness that the aftermarket really comes to rescue because you can fix most of things. I know its not a Mercedes Benz but its great a muscle car to enjoy.
Exactly! I hate when car reviewers complain about the interior "It's definitely no lexus on the inside"..No shit! You want to see a luxurious Lexus interior go review a Lexus. Damn.
Most cars of the time had very simple interiors across the board. My 01.5 Audi is just as simple as my Ford, it may have more buttons and gizmo's but the layouts were simple pre 2004.
Great job Matt. I appreciate your honesty and all the negative comments are from trolls and people that hate yet still watch all your videos. They have no life and at least add up as views. :) I've been supporting you for years and will continue to do so. I've seen what you've done and your jntentions. Not many UA-cam people connect to there audience the way you do and your enthusiasm for driving makes all of us more excited about it too. This is an exciting time on the automotive industry to be doing what your doimg. I commend you and use you as a role model. I hope everyone that reads this (especially the haters) finds what they love to do in life and do it to the best of their potential no matter what anyone says. The End
I am not trying to hate, but he is being unfair. He is applying judgments about cars made in the 2010’s to a 90’s vehicle. Of course 90’s cars have shitty interiors. The cheapest cars Chevy makes today are nicer inside than a Cadillac was in the late 90’s. What’s more absurd is him complaining about the clutch, this is how a stock clutch on most performance cars behave. He ought to try driving a 90’s Porsche if he thinks this is hard to depress. As we have seen recently manufacturers have found ways to make a clutch much easier to depress. Again you have to figure in the time period. A 450HP Camaro SS from today has a lighter clutch than a Dodge Neon from the 1990’s. I could go on. There are many period specific criticisms to make about the New Edge but he misses all of them. The most relevant critique of these cars was their tendency to plow through turns, their horrible ride over bumps and their lack of power compared to their natural rival the Camaro and Firebird.
I have respect for this gentlemen BUT.....this mustang is powerful beautiful comfortable and fast,,,,,,,wtf you want navigation a 4 million watt radio ????then buy a Bugatti.......look at what ur driving and the price one would pay to drive a car like this people hate and talk about everything and are never satisfied
Sorry but I'm a fan of some mustangs but these Gts were bad when they came out.. and they are bad now.. even the less popular camaro was out performing it.. even current mustang owners will admit the 4.6 was crap
Well we all have our own opinion, but im a mustang guy so you know where this is going. You dont buy a mustang for the interior or comfortable driving. You buy it mostly to mod and make your own, thats the beauty of it
+Brandon Candelario lmao dude chill. it was a joke haha but idk i hate when car guys who give reviews hate on the interior like wtf duhh it's not gonna be the greatest.
+edgar flores lol oh ok yeah i agree with that, but i get even more annoyed when they hate an american cars so much when most of thebother cars were the same quality, granted i love those years of mustangs and even owned 1 i can admit the interior was a bit dated but not bad either
2004 WRX here, same interior as the 2002 MY. I love my interior. Way better than the Mustang, Camaro and even the Evo. You should check one out sometime. It really is great for something they didn't put much thought into. Interior wasn't even Subaru's priority.
the reason why the "clutch" is so "heavy" is because they were a cable clutch... lol.. leg presses. the audi s4 is around 10 years newer using totally different mechanics and technology. if shifting jerks you around, work on your manual driving some more.
yeah those 5 speeds had a cable clutch, that's why it's so heavy and has like a foot of travel to the floor. In 2011 they switched to a hydraulic clutch and a 6 speed thank God.
Idk. To each his/her own. I have an 04 GT with the cable clutch. Ive driven the newer hydraulic. I wasn't a fan. It reminded me too much of driving an import
Ralph Pehrson Oh trust me, I have an idea, at least. My job has a couple crane trucks. They let me take one around the building just because I wanted to see what it was like. The shifting isn't like a semi, but the clutch is still stiff as hell though
Ralph Pehrson I'm a CDL holder as well. I've driven just about every model Peterbilt makes. Almost exclusively oversize and overweight frac pumps for Baker Hughes. Just saying the new mustangs are far more powerful with easy clutches with maybe 5 inches of travel and snick-snick shifters. Better in every way to me. Just my opinion.
I have an 02 GT and the previous owner also upgraded the clutch and it’s annoying as hell but you get use to it; helping with leg muscle imbalances which is nice
I use to own a 2000 GT and I absoultely LOVED that car. The car had good power, was A LOT of fun, the interrior was cheap plastic, but after owning it for a while I grew to love it... the car is made to be modified. They are not expensive to buy, you get one to make it your own. I changed the suspension, had a short throw shifter... and many many more mods... the flowmaster sounds like crap on the 4.6l motor.... and the reviewer loved it, imagine if he had a good sounding exhaust on there lol If you want to hear a good exhaust, I have my 2000 GT exhaust video on my channel ;) (the first video I ever uploaded to youtube)
I just bought a 03 gt convertible and I don't necessarily understand why people hate them so much. The interior looks decent, I like the gauges, and the Mach audio system sounds like a good one from today. The shifter personally doesn't bother me. The 4.6 sounds great and to me it's fast since it's the fastest car I've ever driven, before it the only car I ever drove consistently was a Toyota Corolla and a 2016 Kia Sorento which; weighs 300 pounds more, has 75 less hp, and 124 less foot pounds of torque. And like he says though it is a very unrefined experience and feels like an older raw muscle car experience
I have a 02 Gt also and I think maybe the clutch is aftermarket mine is stock and is soft, and the shifters in these are terrible, I upgraded to a shorter short-throw and its wayyy nicer. And ya the HP isnt as big as the newer ones, but the torque will put you in your place.
I love my 2002. I actually kinda like the fact the interior is rather unfussy. The nice thing is there's so many aftermarket parts if you want to make it look more modern.
Who cares about interior anymore. Iv been in many cars by now and have seen all the new cars with their fancy interiors and after a while it really starts to look all the same. I almost want a blank boring interior because it will keep me more focused on the outside and driving not all the fancy technology
This is actually why I watch his reviews. I love honest reviews, doesn't feel like a sales person, and much more interesting. Keep up the good work Matt! Your honesty is why I watch you and not others like SaabKyle, talk about boring..
Didn’t even seem like he punched it at all that was like half throttle shit looked slow asf but he reviewed a 2001 Bullitt which only has 5 more hp and he seemed a lot more impressed
You have to remember why the mustang was built. Small coupe, v8, no frills, and fast. That's what fords plan was in 1964 1/2 with the first mustangs, was to go fast on a budget
Personally, I don't care for interior as much as speed, so I could easily ignore the dark age American interiors. I could see how it'd be a turn off, but that's just picky in my opinion.
haha I took my prom date to the dance and to after prom in my 2001 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra. She loved it. And mine loves the backroads! full performance suspension, caster/camber plates, 285-35-18s on the rear, and 265-35-18s on the front. I will however agree with the cheapness of the interior. and yes the window screech is annoying! But when you invest in a muscle car, you have to forget about luxury! great review of the GT, very much spot on. The "new edge" style is my favorite! 99-04 for life!
How did this video get such a negative comment section? he tried his best to relate with the car, but not everyone likes the same cars, mustang from that era had it's fair share of problems. But like he said, if you don't care about the interior, then this car is just fine.
The criticisms are actually very helpful for someone looking at one of these cars. The things mentioned are usually things people don't notice until after they buy the car and then realize it wasn't what they thought it was. So this is saving people time and money. It would be easy to assume that this car based on it's size, engine and everything that it would be a good handling car with nice brakes and steering feel so it is very useful to know that it isn't. It sounds like with the exception of the cool v8 sound this car isn't much better than the 05-09 v6 as far as daily driving goes.
All of these criticisms are pretty much spot on. I drove one of these for 5 years. Its still a great car. Very, very reliable. The great thing about a Mustang is you can upgrade them easily, and that is where this vehicle shines. I had Mach 1 front brakes, and that took care of the squishy brake pedal that frankly sucked. The handling? Bullitt suspension package from Ford. All that said though, it gets outclassed by my 2012 V6 easily. Still a cool car, and I'll miss my 2 valve.
Im going to get a 2001 ! I always dreamed of owning one and now is the time ! These are getting rare where I live so I have to do a little road trip to get it !
As a New edge owner I can tell you the clutch is just that heavy, it engages towards the top though so you don't have to push it to the floor to shift it. It gets easier the more you drive it. The shifter shouldn't take that much force, it may be that aftermarket shifter. A good set of aftermarket springs, struts and shocks or coilovers greatly improves the ride and handling and can make them fun on a back road. These cars still have great aftermarket support and really are a blank canvas for anyone to make better.
Everyone says there not that great but the manual has a 0 to 60 in about 5.5 seconds.Mine is a hair quicker with slp loudmouth exhaust and 373s.These cars are still faster than most modern cars 0 to 60.
your not driveing that car right STOP granny shifting at 2000rpm... (ricer shifts) slap it into second stomp on the gas untill 5000 rpms shift repeat... you will have a new respect and love for these cars and its a small v8 281ci for its size it very powerful nice low powerband
I think the clutch in this one you drove is not stock. I have a '99 GT (same car as the '02) that the previous owner put a Ford Racing stage 2 (or was it 3?) clutch in, and it's just like you said... doing leg presses. It SUCKS in heavy traffic, being my daily driver. I used to have a '95 GT with the factory clutch and it was not that bad at all. Wouldn't have called it light exactly, but it wasn't a chore to use either. Also, yes the throttle response was awful in my '99... until I installed an SCT 91 octane tune. It really woke the whole car up, night and day difference all around. I have a good amount of bolt-ons including longtubes, and it very much feels like it's clearly pushing 290-300 bhp after the tune. It's not going to beat a new Mustang or Camaro, but it's still quick and a ton of fun being reasonably light at around 3200 lbs. These are good cars. If you're even considering an older Mustang GT, you're not looking for handling. You just want to haul ass in a straight line, and that's exactly what they do. Couldn't be happier with anything else in my price range. Plus the engine sounds like it wants to rip your head off with a good exhaust setup. :) I also get an insane amount of compliments about it for it being 15 years old, especially after putting on 18" chrome Saleen wheels. If you want a cool, fun car for not a lot of money these new edge Mustang GTs really are tough to beat. Mine is the same color too, that one's laser red isn't it?
kingcrimson234 yep the 1999 to 2004 generation mustang gt and cobras are really cars I just picked up a 2003 Mustang GT hard top manual for my first car about 6 months ago it sits in the garage most of the time because it only has 50000 miles I am trying to keep it under 75000 because i plan on keeping it for the rest of my life
I daily drive a 02 gt and the clutch is very heavy even with the factory clutch. I drove a 04 with a stage 2 clutch and the clutch feel was about the same.
The stock clutches in these cars are pretty damn heavy but I believe it's because they're cable clutches. Ford switched to hydraulic clutches in the s197s and they're very light and effortless to push in.
Can't get over how old these things seem now. It wasn't THAT long ago...was it? Meh, I had a 2000 GT convertible that I loved, while it was just a couple years old. Had that heavy clutch too. Was still just way faster than you'd expect from the HP rating, even considering the basic after-market upgrades...including the Flowmaster exhaust.
You double talk one minute you say something negative about the GT&one second later you say the opposite.WE ALL KNOW MUSTANGS ARE A GREAT AMERICAN HOT ROD SO someone that drives a import has no idea how great these cars are,so get in ur ricer with ur 5 inch exhaust & pull beside this GT.&ull be @ taco bell choking on ur rice. HOLLA
I own a 2004 Mustang Convertible and I absolutely love my car, not because of the interior but it feels powerful and sounds amazing at high speeds. If you are looking for good amount of power with sporty looks at affordable price, get this Mustang, its worth it.
I'm a pretty big dude with strong legs and I can honestly say that he isn't over reacting on that clutch lol. it's heavy compared to other cars I've driven not comfortable in traffic so for a guy his size Yea it's probably pretty heavy
anybody making fun of him for complaining about the weight of the clutch has never driven one of these. An 04 Gt has been my daily driver for a few months now and my left leg is now literally stronger than my right leg....and I'm right side dominate
The hard clutch is very common on this model. The pivot studs gets worn by the clutch fork and causes it to misalign. A new pivot stud and fork are needed to fix the issue. I just get tired of seeing ads for these cars stating "previous owner must have installed heavy duty clutch" when really the throwout bearing is just grinding into the input shaft bearing retainer.
Like you said it's a mans car, stop complaining about it's a heavy clutch etc. Maybe go lift some weights for once, no wonder it's heavy you have the muscle mass of a 12 year old boy.
I would definitely not buy that car, I own a 98 with a 2004 engine and I have to be honest it feels nothing like the car you are describing. The car you are reviewing had mechanical issues. And you are absolutely correct about the inside. The design did not change from '95 to '04.

I've had mine for over 16 years and there is nothing cheap about it Matt! Unless you own one you shouldn't make that comment. It's ford built tough and still runs strong and its a 2000 GT convertible. Interior is original and still in great shape for leather go figure
6:19 - 6:23 ....Cannot unhear
Its funny. He revs up to like 3500 Rpms and Looks like he is popping a vain in his neck. Bro it is not going that fast just relax
+RedbtickSHADYT he couldnt handle my 1990 Supra Turbo lmao

Yess im not the only one that noticed!
Shut the fuck up 😂
Quit hating
as a hard core mustang gt fan i find this review offensive
For real
Word, he looked so disgusted, like he pouted and cried before going to do the review.
I've shredded countless Audi's and wrxs on a twisty road with long straights We call it resiovor rd in ct. You never even got into the motor To see what the car can do.
That's my favorite model of the mustang. I love the early 2000's/late 90's
+ReaIDeaI1 yup new edge.
Interior is outdated though, everything else is fine
Mustangs are iconic unlike ricers
super iconic just hit 50 years
Collin Holbrook legendary man
gary monk wonder if the mustang will hit a 75th or 100th anniversary :D I really hope so
That would be cool
gary monk I wonder how much they would change in the next 50 years
Honestly these are my favorite mustangs ever.
Have a wonderful day
@@warrenunruh7433
My first car was a 1970 Formula Firebird.
Hey 10 year younger Dylan
Get a grip.
Beavis???
M Giovanni hahahahha dying
Hahahahahahahahaha😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
XDXDXDXD
i hate when people say they will rev it so we can hear it. but theyll only rev it to 2000 rpms
yep
For a 2002 the interior is beautiful. I have an 02 GT and my friends complement the interior whenever they get in (in 2018)
You seem to have talked down the American Muscle Car, Like in the interior was laughable? First the car was made for PERFORMANCE. Ford will not give you Lexus Interior plus v8 engine for its low Price. You seem to have interest in tuner cars considering you are scrawny so figures. MUSTANG NATION.
What you said is funny because he has a mustang so he obviously has nothing against them you idiot
***** He got rid of his import BRZ because he couldn't afford it, then used his subscribers to get a mustang with a 4banger...
Yeah haha wish i had people willing to hand me money to get a new car
Darren Lozano Hey umm..... He has a mustang.... Duurrh...
I dont get why this guy is in the car.. look at him , I have never seen a man with arms like that. no shit everything has a hard feel to it. he got arms of a wrench.
lmfaooooo
AIN'T THAT THE TRUTH LOL
"Heavy clutch" ?? .... **Arnolds voice** GIIIRLLLY MAN
LOL
lmao. exactly what i was thinking.
These cars respond really well to some thoughtful modifications. The stock springs are way too soft, and there's no Panhard rod out back, so your tuning work is cut out for you.
Absolutely right. Stock springs are garbage. I put 03 cobra front springs in mine and they made a huge improvement in handling.
edumspeed Cool! My step-d has one, he's done a lot to it. I am sort of tempted to buy it from him now that he's selling it (cheap)
+Eric Leippe 👍

I've been supporting you for years and will continue to do so.
The End
Awesome comment, and thanks Reynaldo. I don't let the haters bother me anymore, as you said, it's just more views.
The most relevant critique of these cars was their tendency to plow through turns, their horrible ride over bumps and their lack of power compared to their natural rival the Camaro and Firebird.
illuminati
Well said!!
Sorry but I'm a fan of some mustangs but these Gts were bad when they came out.. and they are bad now.. even the less popular camaro was out performing it.. even current mustang owners will admit the 4.6 was crap
matthew clouser the 4.6 was no mind blowing experience, but they are awesome for boost, goods rods and pistons, then name your horsepower number.
Bugatti's don't have navigation or a "4 million watt radio". They, like the mustang are built purely for speed
pls know wtf you are talking about........ the bugatti does have navigation dum azz
Alexis Gomez you're an idiot. they have a standard radio with a cd player
Well we all have our own opinion, but im a mustang guy so you know where this is going. You dont buy a mustang for the interior or comfortable driving. You buy it mostly to mod and make your own, thats the beauty of it
an 11 year old american car... ok pendejo how about youre Subaru's from 2002? are those interiors mind and perfect? are the seals still factory fresh?
yes
+edgar flores I'm going to go ahead and call bullshit
If you're going to talk shit about American cars, especially the Mustang, then why the fuck are you in it or allowed to be in it?
The same reason your not in it.
He is doing a review and he is being honest. I hate these mustangs
george Hurst
Then why are you watching a video of one....?
I watched it to learn more about it and see if I could learn to like it
Mook aton I am not a fan of Mustangs either. But I pressed on the video to see what he has to say about it, and get a great review.
your the only guy who reviews solidness of doors, and touches interior stuff, love it 10/10
yeah those 5 speeds had a cable clutch, that's why it's so heavy and has like a foot of travel to the floor. In 2011 they switched to a hydraulic clutch and a 6 speed thank God.
Idk. To each his/her own. I have an 04 GT with the cable clutch. Ive driven the newer hydraulic. I wasn't a fan. It reminded me too much of driving an import
I have countless hours driving both. cable clutch on the mustangs was a pain in the ass to me.
black2011gt lol that's nothing. i drive semi for a living, go drive a semi, you'll see what a crap clutch pedal feels like
Ralph Pehrson Oh trust me, I have an idea, at least.
Throw some coilovers and strut/sway bars and you'll be fine around corners
Find it funny how my 00 ford ranger has some of the same driving features , like gas pedal etc .
Slp lm1 sound aggressive on the 4.6
+NuarStanger flows are decent just not the greatest.
they do have a classic sound.
I like the green lighting at night a lot too
When did they start letting mr Rogers do mustang reviews?
This is making me regret buying a 2014 v6 stang lmao
I like simple interior, simple exterior and mad engines :) why do I love cars so much with such empty pockets :(
The most famous quote "Let's see how thing is on the back road" Lol. I be watching the videos just to hear that.
-_- this dudes feminine level is intense
The cringe level of using -_- is fucking intense. What are you, 7? Your mom should take your phone from you.
@@jordanadams7168 and everyone with that profile pic (A HUGE AMOUNT) is fucking salty
I agree with you about how it drives. That's why I upgraded my suspension in my 02 GT. Handles like it's on rails now.
Your honesty is why I watch you and not others like SaabKyle, talk about boring..
no it is not a 50,000 dollar sports car, but my 03 with subframe connectors and lowering springs handles pretty fuckin good
6:05 Then why the hell are you driving it?
Didn’t even seem like he punched it at all that was like half throttle shit looked slow asf but he reviewed a 2001 Bullitt which only has 5 more hp and he seemed a lot more impressed
This video was posted in 2013 and he said the car looks dated...well this is 2020 and to me that car still looks INSANE i love this body style
he's in love but cant admit it
One thing a little annoying with these cars is the headrest.. its a lot back than i would want it to be.
Great video! I love this generation Mustang! especially the GT!
99-04 for life!
its nothing wrong with a original car, nowadays cars are made of way more plastic than metal, older is better
How did this video get such a negative comment section? he tried his best to relate with the car, but not everyone likes the same cars, mustang from that era had it's fair share of problems. But like he said, if you don't care about the interior, then this car is just fine.
wish the new mustang gts still had these type of mpgs!!!
I may see some negative comments when he reviews but guess what he has...a smile on his face still. Yup...Mustang wins
You're a subaru fan.. Of course you're not gonna like it hahaha. America > Japan.
3:35 if only I could store shit in a trunk or a glove compartment or something ..
Not all 2002 mustangs have a hard clutch to push in but after a while of driving it u need to replace the clutch cable and then it will be super soft
why were you short shifting it?
All of these criticisms are pretty much spot on. I drove one of these for 5 years. Its still a great car. Very, very reliable. The great thing about a Mustang is you can upgrade them easily, and that is where this vehicle shines. I had Mach 1 front brakes, and that took care of the squishy brake pedal that frankly sucked. The handling? Bullitt suspension package from Ford. All that said though, it gets outclassed by my 2012 V6 easily. Still a cool car, and I'll miss my 2 valve.
All the 2V needs is a bit of boost
lol you guys are hilarious
If you guys hate him so much stop watching his videos, so he won't get paid
Im going to get a 2001 ! I always dreamed of owning one and now is the time ! These are getting rare where I live so I have to do a little road trip to get it !
All these people salty about the review. If you don't like it then go look up the hundreds of other reviews for the car. Jesus Christ.
These cars still have great aftermarket support and really are a blank canvas for anyone to make better.
and the comment section is exactly why I won't buy a Mustang. the reason why I won't buy a Mustang is because of Mustang Owners!
(ricer shifts) slap it into second stomp on the gas untill 5000 rpms shift repeat... you will have a new respect and love for these cars
and its a small v8 281ci for its size it very powerful nice low powerband
I just bought a 2002 mustang gt a month ago.
It’s my first car :)
Stomp it pretty boy!!!!!!
I also get an insane amount of compliments about it for it being 15 years old, especially after putting on 18" chrome Saleen wheels.
That could mean the clutch is going out. Or the cable. Just adjust the pedal. I had the same thing happen to me when my throw out bearing when out
I honestly love the simplistic interior

I have a 2002 Ford mustang gt with 400 hp and the clutch isn't heavy. Plus ill whoop any wrx :)

I'm a pretty big dude with strong legs and I can honestly say that he isn't over reacting on that clutch lol. it's heavy compared to other cars I've driven not comfortable in traffic so for a guy his size Yea it's probably pretty heavy
Well I guess that's why they call it a muscle car ;D
anybody making fun of him for complaining about the weight of the clutch has never driven one of these. An 04 Gt has been my daily driver for a few months now and my left leg is now literally stronger than my right leg....and I'm right side dominate
Lol mustang guys getting mad
Wildman 113 are you 13? you behave like that
***** No! I'm just smarter than you since my mom and dad are actual brother and sister. We keep our smartness in the family.
Indeed, got a 2003 gt myself and damn do I love this car. 70000 miles only
I would definitely not buy that car, I own a 98 with a 2004 engine and I have to be honest it feels nothing like the car you are describing. The car you are reviewing had mechanical issues. And you are absolutely correct about the inside. The design did not change from '95 to '04.
