I've seen some places where the Legend couldn't run in Multi. I had to go into single 10khz in one particular place and it ran well. It's nice to have options like that. The Legend is a really good detector.
Yes 💯, in some situations single can give you better performance than smf, by being able to push more power in the ground , more gain , where with smf you would have to dial gain back because of instability
If i had seen this channel before i bought the ultra, i will probably have bought the legend instead. Such a shame I didnt i find your channel before. Very good explaining the differences in those machines
Anyone notice that the way he has the Legend setup sounds just an old Minelab Explorer XS. I also can tell you that the Legend in Single Frequency is not as deep as it's other Nokta counter parts like the Impact or Simplex + and others. Will not unmask like the impact in iron. But I have only been doing same plane iron unmasking, so that might be the advantage to single frequency
Love your videos and the great information that you share. I am 65 years old and metal detect as an occasional hobby. Been using a Tesoro Vaquero for years but now have a Simplex Ultra on order and can't wait to give it a try. Will mostly be hunting coins and occasionally civil war relics here in the USA.
You will do really well with with the ultra. Has relic and coin mode also . Fast deep and top end features like ground suppressor really do give it the edge over the other detectors that price range
Well after watching your video again I called and changed my order to the Nokta Legend. A lot of the areas I hunt have been hunted heavily by single frequency detectors and thought the legend might give me a chance to find things that may have been missed. Thanks again and I will let you know how this works out.@@HistoryRevisiteduk
Well I ended up changing my order and got the legend. Had it out for a short time this afternoon and very impressed. I am tech savvy but it will take a few outings to make the best use of all of the features that it has. Got the Legend because I thought the multi frequency might give me an edge when hunting over areas that have already been hunted heavily over the years. Keep the great videos coming and thanks.@@HistoryRevisiteduk
A little bit better? Is the legend worth the price? I’m debating between the two machines. I detect mostly in dry ground (hot, hard dirt.) the simplex plus is doing great but I think I need some extra depth. Any advice helps. Thank you.
If its in your budget get the legend, its a not daunting at first with all the settings, but once you watch some videos and do some experimenting, its not so hard Just the fact you can switch frequencies makes it worth it
@@DadSquatchMetalDetecting mind you I have never used the ultra, just watched videos on it, but I already have the legend and see no point in getting the ultra If I was coming from the simplex instead of the legend, I would consider the ultra, if cost was a factor, but I am very happy with the legend
Total beginner & my question is, the ultra, nox 600 or the legend? I’ve watched loads of videos & tbh I’m even more confused 😁 Thing is I know I’ll take to detecting but I don’t want to waste money on an upgrade a few months in. Thank you for the time you take on your channel 👏
Probably because in just the couple of months I’ve had The Legend I’ve become used to its 60 tones but hearing the Simplex Ultra I can’t think of anything other than Sooty & Sweep. Maybe it ought to have a recording which says ‘Izzy Wizzy Let’s Get Busy’ when it hits gold ?
Great video and comparison. Merryll ( detecting NYC) also made the comment that the Xterra Pro and Simplex will not be good on the beach in salt water. Better in fresh water.
Have nokta updated the ultra already I've been out with the xterra very similar vdi to the simplex plus not as fast but decent machine handy having switchable frequency depth meter a bit exaggerated but I like the fact the nox coils work on it which would be an advantage if you were to upgrade to the nox
No this is the released software , not been an update yet , yeah compatibility with all the other coils is a great option for the xterra. If you already have nox with many coils ,great little extra backup detector
Ultra seems good. Do not not know if Dues 1 good, but have read the closest thing to Dues 1 is the T2,. Do you think Ultra is close to T2 ? Trying to make my mind up on these to single frequency machines.
In 99 tone on the ultra very similar to the deus 1 . But can only use 15 khz. The d1 far superior to the t2 so is the ultra, new tech. If you got the money and detect arable or ploughed I’d go with the d1
Lower frequencies hit bigger targets deeper but can loose out to smaller targets , higher frequencies hit smaller targets but loose depth . Check this video out for a bit more info ua-cam.com/video/afDS9ThSHmU/v-deo.htmlsi=egm_aViXvKIlIrL7 👍🏻

For people who have these machines, it must be good to have someone explain things and to do it in a simple, understandable way... 👍💪

Been using the Simplex + for 2 years now. Ordered a legend today
big upgrade good luck

Great Knowledge Liam and many thanks as always. I’ve gone from the Simplex to the Legend and find your videos so informative.
Very welcome
what type of hunting do you do and whats some of the down falls of the Ultra
Great video Liam, thanks for making the video.

@@TSByars good choice. You will dig less and less trash as you grow with it . Good luck 🧑🦯🙏
Thx Liam on another set up guide for me to try on my legend..
Good luck in those fields pal 👌🏻🧑🦯
Great video, I have both machines I think the Legend is a little bit better, but it also costs a little bit more than the Ultra as well.

does switching frequencies on the ledgend compamise on the depth

😂 yeah definitely more calming the legend tones
Thank you Liam great video , i bought the legend and the Deus 2 , and for great depth i have the LORENZ DEEPMAX Z2 .

Yes 100%
looks like both detectors have equal depeth on coins and relics..
