Just a wonderful feel good video. I am glad I stumbled across your channel. To see this ladies shock and joys of tears made this video all that more special. I myself became emotional for her. I actually have a fond story to share about my Mom and a metal detector from when I was a kid. My Mom had always wanted a metal detector and found one at a antiques barn near Lake Shawnee in Topeka Kansas. She bought it for $50. This was the summer of 1986. I was 16 years old at the time. In the following days, or a few weeks later, just her and I made our way from Topeka Kansas to White Cloud Kansas, a very old town that was mostly vacant and is still mostly vacant today in 2022. We pulled into town, drove around, parked and started to dig around some of the empty lots. In a very short period of time along an old tree line right next to the downtown area, or I should say main street, she started to dig up several gold coins. I remember her suddenly screaming so loud that it startled me badly. She then started to cough so violently that I became very worried for her. She caught her breath, I gave her a hug and she continued to dig a small area of earth. The first coin she pulled up was a $5 gold coin. There were several $1 gold coins, $5 gold coins and a few $10 gold coins. In total she found 27 or 29 gold coins. I've re-told this story a few times and I've just always round the coins up to 30, but it was actually just under 30 coins. We left as soon as we found them due to the same car driving around the area watching us we think. She got scared, told me we are leaving and then hid the coins in her cigarette case, stuffed it in her bra and we left as quickly as we could before someone showed up to start asking questions. I think she was worried about the police showing up and her losing the coins. We never got to return there but I know the area and hopefully no one else went over that area with a metal detector. One of these days I will go back there. My Mom did not have a lot of money. She was a single parent of four kids and those coins helped to fed us kids over the next few years along we getting us new shoes and allowing us to eat out sometimes and go to a few movies together as a family. One movie we did go see because of that gold money was Stand By Me. She was a huge fan of Steven King and we all had a great time. She was very much a treasure hunter and would get all of the treasure magazines throughout the 80's monthly. She had stacks of them. My Mom often talked about that day and it would just magically come up in conversation over the years as I grew older and her health declined. My Mom was a gypsy and and in the last part of her life moved from Topeka Kansas to Canada and worked as a cook in a logging camp. She tried to get Canadian citizenship but was denied because of her poor health. She then made her way to Ketchikan Alaska where she lived until she died at the very young age of 54 which ironically is the same age that I am now. She deserved to have her moment in the sun and my Mom truly did find a treasure that only a few can dream of. For years she carried one of those $1 gold coins as a good luck charm. I think she sold the coin during one of her hard times when she was traveling. RIP Momma. Thanks for the video!
Is it that surprising though? Unless you get a ring custom made, it's going to have been produced at scale, and your local jewelry store probably purchased many of them. So there would be multiple in that area, probably more than 3.
i had this medusa head gold ring for years!!! i had to pawn it to make ends meet with bills and ended up losing it this was like 6 years ago well a couple months ago i was helping a client at his house set up equipment and he was wearing the same ring so i joked around saying man i miss that ring i had one just like it lol i told him mine had the letters TG engraved in the inside with a heart and he loved up and he quick and took off the ring and showed me it was my old ring i lost!!! he ended up giving it to me after hearing my story ! i told him nonononono but he insisted ! and even gave me a fat tip afterwards! life works crazy sometimes
Good deal. I like to see positive stories like this. In an age and a platform filled with so much negativity, It's great to see there's still positivity out there, we just have to look for it, just like he did with the ring. We need an extension for a browser that works like a metal detector that makes it easier to find and appreciate it even more. Ty Sir.
Never ever rely on the display numbers. I’ve been detecting for over 40 years and have found that a lot of things can determine the numbers displayed. Audio is the king.
I've also been detecting for almost 40 years as well. I use both the sound and the numbers. As i get older, I find it hard to discern different tones. Plus, while I trust my old Nox600, I usually dig it all. thanks for watching.

About 17 years later a women that I was working with was wearing it and said she found it on vacation??? Wow I got it back after many many years. Amazing how that works. God Bless you sir.
Thats a wonderful feeling. I have a had few returns. One was a UVA class ring that had been lost 52 years. I didn't know it was there. It had the landowner's initials in it and when I handed it to him I thought he was going to pass out. He was 78 years old.
One of my front teeth had a loose crown on it. While talking with the neighbor, one day, it popped out and fell into the gravel. Everyone has stones in their front yard, here in Arizona. I hopped over to the prospecting store and rented a metal detector, and found the crown in 10 mins. The neighbor was impressed, since there was scrap rebar and lots of hot rocks under the landscape gravel. That tooth was replaced with an implant, soon after.

I received my class ring in 1965. That summer I had a job hoeing lima beans for Libbies. I got in the house and realized I'd lost my ring. My mother was not happy. Later in my life I bought a cheap Bounty Hunter detector. Dad still lived in my childhood home so I asked if I could detect it. He said several people had already but go ahead. I started in between the garage and a newly placed sidewalk. Found a fork and then got a good signal by the new sidewalk. My class ring 34 years later looking brand new. Unfortunately mom was no longer with us. My best find for sure.

Got a good true story on wedding ring! My wife lost her wedding ring and it was missing for about a week, looked EVERYWHERE! I was about to order a replacement and thought let’s wait a little longer. Then one night she cooked dinner and took a bite of rice , you guess it , the ring was in the rice she prepared 5 days earlier. My son lost his expensive ring in our front yard ... we could NOT find it. I bought the cheapest harbor freight metal detector and found that ring in 3 minutes. Detector paid for itself in one use.
My family was at a water park when we were super young, and my sister found a diamond wedding ring in the area after a water slide. Years and years later, my dad told her boyfriend of 10 years about it and asked him if he wanted to use it for an engagement ring, and they have been married now since 2011 and have a great 5 year old, my niece :D
Awesome job man!! I know she was beside herself but it had to make your day also, love seeing humanity being kind to one another!! Stellar job my friend!
I love this stuff so much, I mean I have never done it properly but I used to go to the beach with my brother, one day when out fishing in a farmers field that had a river running through the middle my dad lost his wedding ring, and so we called my brother who bought his old metal detector, we found it right away near my dads old seat box. Anyway as they chatted I wondered off and had an amazing time using it in the field, I never found much but what I did find was very old 2 pence coins and even half penny ones, the 2ps were much larger than modern, I dont know how old but they were very old (not ancient treasure or nothing) but I always imagined some guy or people sat in the same areas, perhaps even fishing and it falling from their pocket, 50 or 80 years before and that was so cool. I can only imagine how awesome finding older stuff is and things like this helping people!

My son’s class ring flew off of his finger in a field while playing volleyball. He rented a metal detector and we searched for hours with no luck. I went back the next day on my lunch hour. The metal detector was due back that evening. The clouds got really scary and it was starting to thunder and lightning. It was just starting to rain and I was heading to my car and then I heard a loud BEEP! Found it!!!!
A friend of mine lost a pearl earing .Five years later she found it in the gravel on her driveway. Cars had been driving over it all that time and it looked fine !!
25 years ago or so, my mom "lost" her wedding ring in the grass and filed an insurance claim. The insurance company paid off, miraculously, my mom found the ring in the yard. 🙄
It always amazes me how these objects need to be dug out after not too long rather than just lying where they fell on the surface. The ground beneath our feet is constantly shifting and changing and we don’t notice.
not only was it a great recovery, it was also a great story, now you are bound to them, until the end of life^^ you will remember her (rebecca) and her mother and...her story forever^^
Absolutely fantastic video and most entertaining search and recovery! What are the odds of those two rings being so exact!? I was waiting to hear that the mother's ring was the one lost in the park! Still, the odds are nearly impossible! What a wonderful story and boy did you make her happy!

Matching rings? Interesting. When I planned to propose to my wife (30 yrs ago), I picked out a ring without her help. My wife didn’t wear gold, preferring white gold/silver looking jewelry, so I went thru some books the jeweller had found a old style of ring (out of style for about 30 years according to the jeweller), and had it made in platinum. When I proposed (she said yes) she was crying a bit too much in my opinion, but didn’t explain why. A week later, having dinner with her family, one of her sisters says ‘that’s exactly like mom’s ring but a different colour!’ . (The mom’s ring was the standard gold colour.) Sure enough, her dad had picked that exact style/pattern ring design for her mom 30 some years ago! (I scored huge brownie points for my ‘excellent taste’.) *id never even noticed the ring her mom had. She didn’t wear it daily because she had knuckle issues.

I want to do this so bad. Not even to make money, but just to make videos to make people smile. These videos are very exciting. But I'll never be able to afford a metal detector. I've even looked at cheap ones. But at least I can watch these and have a good time still.
think of it as a business investment. The nokta simplex costs under $300. you can find that kind of change (not including silver n gold) in a few months, then from there, it's a free money making machine. Good luck and thanks for watching

She deserved to have her moment in the sun and my Mom truly did find a treasure that only a few can dream of. For years she carried one of those $1 gold coins as a good luck charm. I think she sold the coin during one of her hard times when she was traveling. RIP Momma. Thanks for the video!
Wow. That is a wonderful story, so much gold. I miss my folks too. Thanks for watching!
What an epic find, but yet bizarre that there are at least 3 of those with in miles of each other.
yeah, very bizarre, but it was a popular styled ring in the early 80s. thanks for watching!
@@robertlee6338 It was a VERY popular ring in the mid 80s. I still remember the ads for them
Is it that surprising though?
Ty Sir.
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@panthercityoutdoors digging it all is the way to go. In trashy areas though it’s very arduous. Good luck with your future digs man.
This is what a ambassador to the hobby looks like! Well played sir!
thanks I just found a wedding ring yesterday for someone who had lost it two years ago. He was so happy.. thank you for watching.
Recovering lost memories, you're doing the lords work. Thank you sir.
thank you, for watching.
What a story!
I had tears in my eyes when you found her ring. So happy for her.
And then to think you found a ring just like that, what a story.
I'm glad mom has hers & you get to keep the other ring!
God bless you! Thank you for sharing!
😊🩵💙💜😊
thank you so much for your kind words, it felt pretty good handing that ring to her. glad you enjoyed it.
Angels do exist sir and you are one. I had a ring I got from my Grandmother for confirmation and in High school lost after swim practice. About 17 years later a women that I was working with was wearing it and said she found it on vacation??? Wow I got it back after many many years. Amazing how that works. God Bless you sir.
It can really be a small world, I really appreciate yer kind word and for watching.
@@panthercityoutdoors There is no doubt about THAT! ❤️👍🙏
God bless you sir. I bet you made her day. We need more kind people like you!
Thank you, it did feel good.
Thats a wonderful feeling.
I have a had few returns. One was a UVA class ring that had been lost 52 years. I didn't know it was there. It had the landowner's initials in it and when I handed it to him I thought he was going to pass out. He was 78 years old.
I wish I could bottle it! 🙂
❤ how amazing!!!!!!!!
isn't it great to make someone so happy? Good job.
thanks, it did feel good, I have to say.
This was so cool and so humbling. Thank you for enabling closed captioning to help your deaf and hard of hearing audience! You da man!!
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
That tooth was replaced with an implant, soon after.
thats a great story, did finding it give you the detecting bug? lots of good detecting in Arizona. thanks for watching!
@@panthercityoutdoorsFor years I've toyed with the idea of prospecting as a retirement hobby, a hobby that could make $. Now that I live in AZ, nugget shooting seems to be the best method, given the general lack of water for panning. bwdik
@@kenjordan5750 there's a large swath of Arizona that has meteorites. Metal detector and walking stick with super magnets on the top to check rocks. look for a local detecting club to join, loads of info and experience there.
That was a cool find! When I was at a friend's house her sister had lost her boyfriend's class ring in their front yard. So while they were yacking I just walked around a bit and I found it! I seem to have a knack for finding stuff. I was in Jr high I think. I'm 72 and still make a find now and then.
Love it!!
The pure joy and elation on her face!
Crazy how deep it went in 10 months time.. She about made me shed a tear for her.
thanks, I did shed a tear, she was just so happy
I know! I was thinking wouldn't it be laying right on top of the lawn or just beneath a few blades of grass?
@@francesmcstay no because if you think, if its stepped on it will drive into the ground, walking over that area will vibrate the dirt and sink it lower and rain will sink it lower too.
My best find for sure.
thats an awesome story. I've still got my Bounty Hunter Quick Draw I used for 15 yrs. Good machine, just cant go too deep. Thanks for watching!
Nice to see honesty & love for other people...
thank, it felt good.
I like the joke you played on her as you reach out to her and said,
"It's only a pull tab" ~~~~
I did milk the drama a bit, thanks for watching.
dude, much respect...can just imagine, how much joy , relief she felt when you handed that ring to her....😊😊😊
and me too when I found it. I knew that solid 10 was it.
This is the type of content, I love to see. What a glitch in the matrix. Wow, love to see this. Glad you get to keep yours
Glad you enjoy it! Thanks for watching!
Good job bro. I've had several people come to me while I'm on the beach. Lost rings and keys. Found them everytime. I like that part of this hobby.
Great video. Great job.
If I were to say anything about this video. Your swing is to fast. To wide. I learned. Paint the ground. Swing left. Swing right. Step forward. Over lapping every sweep. My finds have gone up prob 40% cover all the ground your working. Again. Great job. You made her very very happy. P.S. PUT THE RING ON A CHAIN. it means way to much to lose again. Happy hunting bro 👍
Thanks for the tips. I posted a short recently where I found a ring on a chain, lol.
Appreciate your honesty and kindest! It's pretty rare now!
I appreciate that, but like the Irish say, it's nice to be nice.
I love the fact you would have gave her the one you had if it was her moms that she lost that’s a true metal detector! That’s how I like to be when I metal detect
thanks, that means a lot.
( she is Asian and LOVES RICE❤❤❤.she pulled the ring out of her mouth. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That is awesome! Life can really be funny, and truth is stranger than fiction. thanks for watching!
My son lost his expensive ring in our front yard ... we could NOT find it. I bought the cheapest harbor freight metal detector and found that ring in 3 minutes. Detector paid for itself in one use.
It is a fun hobby, you really never know what you'll find. Appreciate you watching.
My family was at a water park when we were super young, and my sister found a diamond wedding ring in the area after a water slide. Years and years later, my dad told her boyfriend of 10 years about it and asked him if he wanted to use it for an engagement ring, and they have been married now since 2011 and have a great 5 year old, my niece :D
you can't believe how many wonderful stories people have told me. Thank you so much for watching and commenting.
It sucks to know it was there this whole time. So glad they found it.
Man ur doing a good work for strangers by finding not just metals but precious memories that comes along with them new sub here

@@panthercityoutdoors rock on man
You can see the emotions enter her body. Literally pulling from the aeither and absorbing them in. Pretty wild.
I really dont think she thought I could find it. thanks for watching.
You mean ether
Almost as good as finding the woman's ring, are the great stories people here have told me. I really appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment. 🙂🙂
@@panthercityoutdoors Thanks for uploading, One thing that amazes me is how shallow things are as well, like the coins I found or even old musket bullets and bits at the beach etc, literally on the surface and yet have laid in the ground for so many years, I love your videos, they are so cool! Good luck to you and thanks for helping so many as well!
You are so sweet to help her out like that. God Bless You ;)

Great find. That had to feel good. My Father In Law asked me to clear nails around his house after a roof job at his house. Not only did I get a bucket full I picked one up in my tire to the side of the tread so it couldn't be patched. The worst day detecting beats the best day on the clock somewhere.
So true, thanks for watching!

That's awesome, I've heard so many cool stories since posting this video. Thanks for watching.

🤣🤣🤣 that's priceless
It always amazes me how these objects need to be dug out after not too long rather than just lying where they fell on the surface. The ground beneath our feet is constantly shifting and changing and we don’t notice.

Yeah my sister has one like that sold at walmart Many years ago
They sold those tri tone styles everywhere, didn't they. Heck, I think I bought a girlfriend one once. Thanks for watching!
Absolutely fantastic video and most entertaining search and recovery! What are the odds of those two rings being so exact!? I was waiting to hear that the mother's ring was the one lost in the park! Still, the odds are nearly impossible! What a wonderful story and boy did you make her happy!
I really appreciate that, it felt good I have to say.
Yeah, you found the ring! I watched from New York State.
Thanks!!
This is special, bro. This is far more rewarding than any monetary value you could get from your finds. 😊
Well, except maybe if you find that million dollar nugget 😆

Amazing I bought a Garrett Ace 250 a few years back and a White's TRX pin pointer. Haven't found any major jewelry or treasure yet, but someday LOL
Just keep at it, you will. Try hunting the totlots, children playgrounds, and dont forget to use the pinpointer to search underneath the raised areas. Good luck and thanks for watching.
Love the ring recovery! Great return. Great for the sport of MD'ing!
It was fate that we met. Thanks.
We had a drought years ago which drop our local river to record lows. According to the paper a man walking the exposed river bottom found a gold ring which had been lost 15 years prior. He was able to get it ack to the owner.

Can't wait for your channel to explode brotha! Especially with a story like this. Have you considered making a TikTok strictly for use as advertising for your UA-cam? Posting highlights of each video and then posting the link to the video in the comment would probably direct a lot of traffic to your UA-cam. Especially a story/video like this. People eat it up! It may take a little time editing bit it would totally be worth it.
Those are awful kind words. Honestly, the UA-cam thing takes enough time, lol. It's starting to cut into personal time.😁 I do appreciate the suggestion though. Thanks for watching.

(The mom’s ring was the standard gold colour.)
Sure enough, her dad had picked that exact style/pattern ring design for her mom 30 some years ago!
(I scored huge brownie points for my ‘excellent taste’.)
*id never even noticed the ring her mom had. She didn’t wear it daily because she had knuckle issues.
life is strange and wonderful.

My parents were at a party in the 80s and my mom lost a diamond stud earring somewhere in the lawn outside the house. They didnt stay long because i guess they noticed some people were doing coke and my mom got uncomfortable and wanted to leave. She told the owner about her missing earring in case they ever saw it. I metal detected my unimproved yard before pouring a patio over it. I found tons of construction trash (nail gun nails, door lock parts, metal stake, etc), two crushed beer cans, bottle caps, and two fired blank rifle cartridges in different calibers. So pretty much nothing of any value, not even a lost coin.
I've found silver in every yard in my neighborhood, but mine. Hardly anything in my yard, crazy. Keep trying the goodies are out there
