Another great video ~ thanks! As some others have suggested, you should (if you have the time) search images for Ken Dodd and then you will understand the ref to Ella looking like Ken Dodd. To be honest the lady who played Ella (just like the lady who played Edith) is a lovely-looking lady, and all credit to them both for agreeing to be made up so ugly for comedic effect. Looking forward to the next episode 😊
The reference to the widow looking like Ken Dodd and your polite face on her opening the door was a picture. Here is a clip of the said Ken Dodd, with his duster (or tickling stick) as he was known for. ua-cam.com/video/ZCjGXQpBVhE/v-deo.html
Pity you missed him falling from the window. You should Google Ken Dodd so you'll get the reference to the widow in this episode. Brilliant reaction. Hope you enjoy your movie night with the kids. They're blissful times. Rab C Nesbit would be great after Still Game. Perhaps a poll with some of our suggestions. Blackadder from season two onwards is fantastic. Only fools and horses is my favourite of all time along with Still Game. Anyway, cheers as always. Thoroughly enjoyed that. 😎
People would The Steamie, go down a treat I have not seen it for years. it’s, A comedy play written by Tony Roper about a group of woman doing their laundry in 1950s Glasgow public wash house
Don't forget to watch the Hogmanay specials as they interleave the various series. I nearly made that mistake while watching from start to end all the boxed set series.
Before you start series 7 please watch the Still Game documentary. Its a recap of the 6 series with interviews from the cast, crew and other celebrities.
Rab C. Nesnitt is another brilliant Scottish sitcom you could look at, would take a while because there's been 66 episodes including the specials. Hopefully not a copyright problem because it's been on YT for years.
Would be brilliant rab c is great, I time when pc was a copper and I think squirrels understanding of our language and banter he probably would understand it without subtitles on.
Finport. Aka Saltcoats and Largs. Both towns were used for filming. The coach stop was actually filmed at Saltcoats Harbour. If the coach moved on, it would have ended up in the Clyde estuary. The pub scene, beach scene and bed and breakfast was filmed in Largs in the month of April that year. How do I know? I'm from there.
@@mlee6050 I watched the filming in Saltcoats as I was working at the time. The harbour scenes, but I have seen Greg Hemphill live before he became a household name. He did a stint on the Only an Excuse stage show about Scottish football. Very funny lad.
Frowning money out the car window is a Scottish tradition called a scramble another tradition is the brides female go out singing traditional pre wedding songs dressed up bride gets money for a kiss, of the unfortunate captured male, Nothing clears a bar faster than an approaching Scottish hen party
Brother Squirrel ! You want to cover a British icon series that captures the very essence of our modern British comedy & mix of cultures and classes all in one melting pot 😁? ............Watch Benidorm . You have to understand that this Spanish town is literally a unofficial part of the UK in Spain taken over many years ago and a icon for " cheap holidays/cheap booze/cheap entertainment/cheap food ". You are so wired into our comedy I dare you not to laugh at any episode.
You still have series 7, 8 and 9 although you won't get them on UA-cam. Most reactors put them on discord. Someone is bound to tell you not to bother as the new episodes are not as good, but just ignore them. They tell every reactor that - I don't k now why. The last three series were filmed 9 years after series 6, but they are excellent. There is also the stage play which came before the series "Still Game Live at the Cottiers Theatre 1999".

Ken Dodd and the Diddy men, hard to explain, Also Ken Dodd was a genius, his live shows went on for hours, like 3+
Drunk guy as they picked up the bride was Irving Welsh, the writer if Trainspotting
Wow
Cheerio, Winston!
Until we meet again.

Winston is one of my favourite characters, love Navid too.
Same here, but my second favourite character is Tam. They both were such hilarious characters, with great scripts.
Winston, Navid, Isa, Winston. Tam best in supermarket episode. Imo.
@@anitahargreaves9526 That was a funny episode.
