    OK, so what have we learned here?
    1. It's a track car. 2. It's not so comfortable on long drives. 3. The gas mileage sucks.
    Who'd have guessed?

      You know what the problem was right. This is completely a track focused McLaren and this idiot reviewed it most of the time as a comfortable road car complaining all the way. McLaren's Best car and he is judging it for the things it was never meant to achieve.

    The real Senna car is Honda NSX first generation. Ayrton was actively involved in the development as well as promoting and advertising it. NSX has a great legacy and wears his real tribute. However McLaren 2018 is fantastic and I appreciate all the work and soul put in it. With McLaren team he won all his three world titles.

    • @Sacto1654
      @Sacto1654 6 років тому +5

      True. I think if Senna were alive today, the McLaren Senna wouldn't be much different, though I think the car would have a slightly more compliant ride.

    • @888mf4

    • @martyndyson9501

      Which do you think he would choose as the REAL senna car? There is no comparison, 1 he promoted as you put it and the other he's seen driving and winning Formula 1 racing titles!!! Get a grip nsx fanboy and wind your neck back in! No one wants to hear your pathetic! Yes I know that the engine was from Honda which powered the mclaren chassis but when Lewis Hamilton won in the McLaren his title no one was saying it's a Mercedes engine! It's the company name that's always first, it was mclaren that got the best out of all the aspects and assets and won the championship, I'm rambling on now but I'm sure you know what I mean senna is mclaren and not honda nsx, I had to cover my back as I knew some smart arse would point out the mclaren used a Honda engine when senna won his titles. UA-cam commenters don't miss a trick you see!!

    • @stirbiuliu8048
      @stirbiuliu8048 6 років тому

      A champion F1 car is the full package: good chassis plus good engine and top notch driver plus team. Mclaren still had a good base chassis when Honda left after '92 season, but it took time to get competitive, until Mercedes came in with their tech stuff. One must have complete package or nothing.

    • @jasongc8v
      @jasongc8v 6 років тому +1

      @@martyndyson9501 I would say Mclaren should leave his name alone out of Respect. Instead why not Mclaren Hamilton or Mclaren burger something else why should it be named Senna so people could say I sat in Senna? or some dumb millennium kid just said hey I farted in Senna while posting on instagram? Is that how we as fans show respect to someone who pass away in a tragic accident in Imola.Believe me he was just getting started had he been given a second chance guess Schumacher wouldn't have won so much.I knew some dumbass would point out Senna is Mclaren hes not an object youtube commenters dont miss a trick you see!!

    I'm just glad that McLaren are doing things like this and pushing the limits, it helps with research for there sportscars models plus it forces the competition to keep fighting back! It's us car fans that are the winners because we keep seeing great cars by great brands on a regular basis, since the veyron came out we have been spoilt and the more bespoke brands that are competing the better and longer it will last, 95% of us will never own or even drive most of these cars but it doesn't stop us admiring them and wishing they just keep building them! We can all dream!

    Putting nostalgia for the 'old top gear' to one side - I thought this review was terrible. It was full of contradictions. 'it's really fast' 'it's really slow' 'it's a track car' 'it's not just a track car'. It sounds to me like it's too uncomfortable and uneconomic to enjoy on the road, and that it's too slow on the track because of its massive tail? There was no message, no point to the review...

      SleepEatDrive Not true, stop repeating myths. If you would actually be friends with people who have these cars you would see a completely different picture. 90% of the peeps I know who have p1, 675lt are doing track days. Every single person that I know that got an allocation for Senna will be doing track days with it. The major concern though is the longevity of the new brakes and the cost of replacement. Yes, even for people with money to afford Senna, spending $80,000 on brakes after a day at the track is not just "brush it off my shoulders"

    This car is so small and compact and personal. It's so advanced. The most advanced countries have the technology to make cars this good. This car is a statement. Ride,speed,looks,knowhow,technology/quality. Millionaires buy British cars and German cars and a little Sweden too
