This was an absolutely epic video! Congratulations to the Carfection team for paying such a magical tribute to the legend that was Ayrton Senna. The story, the shots, the presentation... actually give me 12 minutes, I need to watch it again.
On such a poignant day, this has to be one of the best videos of recent times to honour an incredible F1 driver and a weapon that is the McLaren Senna; thank you Henry & Carfection.
There's not been a duff film from Henry since he joined Carfection - but this one, this one was simply the best. Absolutely superb story telling, and beautiful cinematography. Wonderful!
And this video is proof that Henry is the best car journalist ever to write about cars, talk about cars or make films about cars. Stunning, emotional and a fitting tribute to Ayrton Senna
As I haven’t been able to drive cars for more than three and a half years now because of an injurie, watching car videos with Henry Catchpole is my substitute. Keep up the excellent work so I can still dream of getting behind a wheel again one day. To all you car freaks out there, enjoy every day you have the possibility to drive your cars, take nothing for granteed.
What a great production, you’re getting us used to the best car related content on youtube but this is in another league! Great job guys, you should be proud.
Fantastic video and beautifully done. As a 16 year-old I stood at the Old Hairpin and watched Senna make that move. Still the most incredible thing I’ve seen anyone do with a car. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up as I watched it again.
One thing to bring to notice, there are almost no comments which have replies to them. This is how awesome your work is, everybody just want to say good directly to you guys, there is no other topic being discussed.
Here I am gritting my teeth trying to hold back emotion all because you perfectly capture what it means to love a machine through the story of an icon.
I was NOT expecting this. Thought it was just another McLaren Senna video. The retrospective showcases how much respect we all have for Senna. Carfection's best video by FAR. Well done, lads.
Goosebumps mate!! I can even tell you what we had for lunch that day... as my brother dad and I screamed at the tv when he passed Prost he became the stuff of legends and etched into a fantastic family moment in memory... fantastic film!!
I remember (and liked) Autosport's headline after the 93 Donnington Race: "Senna Mega Drive"......clever reference to a certain game console of that time.
My goodness, what a film! The cinematography, the driving, the narrating, everything is just a plain masterpiece. I, literally, had goosebumps watching this. Bravo Carfection!
Words fail me to describe how on-point your film was for both the car and legend of Senna. Right now, nobody is doing automotive journalism in film as good as yourselves.
I was at Donington that Sunday with my father, standing in the rain waiting for what seemed like ages for the race to start. Remembering that day again now, it was an absolute privilege to be cold and wet just to witness that first lap. This video brings all those memories flooding back. Thank you Henry.
YOU HAVE JUST SURPASSED THE PRODUCTION QUALITY OF THE GRAND TOUR. all transitions are perfect, all moving camera angles are perfect, the cloud separations from top view of track is just amazing
Henry, this video absolutely confirm your pedigree as a journalist, blending your memories a review of the car and paying respect to ayrton. Excellent vid thank you
Another beautifully written, presented and shot video Henry and the Carfection team. Shows how car journalism doesnt have to be shouty, laddish and brash.
What a video. Carfection is on another level now. Bravo people! Amazing. Also, Henry... you’re a wizard. You’re a wizard, Henry. This made me almost like this car. Thank you for releasing the video on this day as well. 25 years ago today, RIP Senna.
Incredible as always. It saddens me that I watched the race he died in, it left such a memory that it shadows his greatness, this lap, driving the nuts off an NSX, his crash, the medical helicopter on the racetrack, and his funeral are what I recall most vividly when I think of Ayrton Senna, I wish it were only the first two and not the final three.
You know when you're the ultimate petrol head when (maybe not as much as Guy Martin,) but just have a little cry inside. By far the greatest and most passionate channel on UA-cam. Henry, you're a magician mate :)
Amazing camera work as always.. but the story telling was the bit that gave me goosebumps, I remember watching the race live and it was that first lap at Donington that clearly showed to me the difference between good and great racers..
Astonishing film. Magnificent. There have been many tributes to that lap alone, never mind the man himself, but this is the very best, most sincere, most evocative of all that I've seen. Henry's combination of story telling and insights to the car hits such a sweet spot, and some of the edits are jaw dropping in their imagination and execution. Thank you for striving to reach these heights.
Ayrton Senna died leading a Grand Prix with his foot hard on the accelerator... Henry, your sentiments and experiences echo mine, thank you for a this brilliant video tribute. RIP Ayrton & Roland
EVERY Carfection video lives up to the name. The editing, the music, the presenting! Everything is perfection! I wish I had found this channel when it started years ago!
Congratulations for this video guys!! As a Brazilian and huge fan of Senna, watching this video and remembering all the good times I had on those Sundays racing days and then the image of Senna’s last turn in Imola, brought tears to my eyes!!! Not because he is Brazilian, but I cannot deny that Senna was simply The Best!!
Utterly fantastic video! Carfection nails it again. The Senna rekindles the ‘I must have a poster of this on my bedroom wall’ flame, but alas I am 32 and fear my wife would not approve 🙄 The garage wall will have to do. Please keep the content coming Henry!
This is utterly brilliant - A beautiful and stunningly presented homage to an automotive legend - Perfect in every way - Thanks Henry and Carfection - you never cease to amaze!
This was an absolutely epic video! Congratulations to the Carfection team for paying such a magical tribute to the legend that was Ayrton Senna. The story, the shots, the presentation... actually give me 12 minutes, I need to watch it again.
Senna passed away on this day 25 years ago. RIP to the Legend!🙏🏻🏎
Here as well:)
It make perfect sense to show this car today.
Hes didnt passe away, he is just one lap awead of us
On such a poignant day, this has to be one of the best videos of recent times to honour an incredible F1 driver and a weapon that is the McLaren Senna; thank you Henry & Carfection.
Excellent. Best car journalist on the planet. Thanks
i will rather watch him than the new top gear
Best team to be honest. The editing and cinematography both on top level, supporting the amazing storytelling capability that Catchpole has.
Agreed. The whole production was first class.
chris harris should join carfection and we would have the 2 best journalists on one channel
Agreed. The contrasting styles between Henry and Chris would be great.
There's not been a duff film from Henry since he joined Carfection - but this one, this one was simply the best. Absolutely superb story telling, and beautiful cinematography. Wonderful!
I respectfully disagree, the manual Porsche video he did was the best
@@RealBearFace Was just about to say! That video was absolute perfection.
In fairness these are two superb videos however for me the Senna one edges it going into the final corner on lap 1.
This video could be the pinnacle of motorcar journalism. Thank you Mr.Henry Catchpole and Carfection.
I agree, when you think they can't do better, they hit new best. Video after video they keep surprising me.
This is what REAL automotive journalism is. Harry, awesome job!
I literally have no words for this masterpiece of car journalism 👏
And yet you managed 11 words. And here's another 'hyperbole'
By far the best car content on UA-cam!
without doubt....!!!
100%
I'd say by far the best content on youtube. The lighting, the shots, the colours. Everything is just perfect
This is seriously the best automotive video I’ve seen so far
Goosebumps, fabulous tribute! Well done Carfection team. And thank you.
And this video is proof that Henry is the best car journalist ever to write about cars, talk about cars or make films about cars. Stunning, emotional and a fitting tribute to Ayrton Senna

Best Carfection movie yet. Goosebumps!
Here I am gritting my teeth trying to hold back emotion all because you perfectly capture what it means to love a machine through the story of an icon.
You guys made me emotional this time. Thanks for that...
:o Biggest surprise today! Favorite channel, favorite car-journalist, favorite car and an hommage the THE racing driver of all times. Thank you!
This might be one of the finest films you've done - and that's saying something. Henry's writing is spare, heartfelt, and poignant. Very well done.
What a tribute to my favorite f1 driver, well done carfection. Hats off
Hairs on the back of my neck standing on edge at times. Fantastic content as always and a real pleasure to watch. Keep up the good work Henry!
This is an absolute masterpiece. Every single time I say this is the best they've done, Carfection manages to come up with something even better.
Dude you made me cry. I came to earth 8 months after senna's death.
Cinematography was top notch. And Henry presentation was on another level. Thanks for the history.🙏🏻

Oh, Henry, you have done it again! This is an absolute masterpiece!!!
Outstanding. This channel is always top notch but this may be your best piece yet.
YOU HAVE JUST SURPASSED THE PRODUCTION QUALITY OF THE GRAND TOUR.
all transitions are perfect, all moving camera angles are perfect, the cloud separations from top view of track is just amazing
AMAZING, you guys are producing the absolute best content!
Henry, this video absolutely confirm your pedigree as a journalist, blending your memories a review of the car and paying respect to ayrton. Excellent vid thank you
This was pure magic, i mean, even for CARFECTION standards, this was something else entirely. That like button was absolutely smashed!
What a tribute after 25 years.. Just pure passion. Thank you
This. This is the only tribute worthy of Senna. Excellent job Henry and the Carfection team.
As extraordinary as Senna was, this tribute doesn't fall short. Magnificent way to honor the legend.
Ayrton will never be forgotten. Amazing tribute to his memory.
Now that was a great tribute to the greatest racing driver of all time. I loved the old race clips. Thank you.
Another beautifully written, presented and shot video Henry and the Carfection team. Shows how car journalism doesnt have to be shouty, laddish and brash.
Yes. Tried to watch grand tour yesterday. Absolutly worthless show conmpared to this or Chris Harris in cars
What a video. Carfection is on another level now. Bravo people! Amazing. Also, Henry... you’re a wizard. You’re a wizard, Henry. This made me almost like this car. Thank you for releasing the video on this day as well. 25 years ago today, RIP Senna.
Henry, you've made a lot of good films, but this is by far the best. Its probably the best car film I've seen for quite a while.
Henry you may not be the racing driver he was but you are definitely gifted in your ability to make us feel a part of any story you tell
Superb video! By far the best car lovers channel on UA-cam.
#RememberSenna 🇧🇷
Incredible as always. Wow! One of your best yet, the story, the cinematography, the driving, the history. Bravo @Carfection!!

Fantastic again, Henry. The 'Senna' of motoring journalists!
I had to come back and look at this video again 12 months later. respect to you Henry
Wow, wow and wow! Amazing tribute to the world's most incredible motorsports racer ever existed!
This is by far my favorite car video
Another amazing video Henry. Thank you for the information about Ayrton Senna. I actually didn't know much about his story. May he rest in peace.
THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT
Well done Henry, great hommage to Ayrton, very well edited, loved it!!!
What a great tribute to Ayrton, made by this jurnalist.Bravo I say!
This might be the best piece of content I've seen put out by a UA-cam channel. A very fitting and stunning tribute to a remarkable driver.
Seriously. This is as good, if not better than Top Gear when it was at its peak. Amazing story, cinematography, everything. Nice work!!!
The quality of your videos is literally greater than or equal to a high budget tv channel such as bbc top gear. Great job gentlemen.
Ayrton Senna died leading a Grand Prix with his foot hard on the accelerator...
Henry, your sentiments and experiences echo mine, thank you for a this brilliant video tribute.
RIP Ayrton & Roland
A perfection only Carfection could’ve achieve.
Is it normal that I get tears in my eyes let alone goosebumps watching this, I don't even know.
I was born on the exact day Senna died, always had a real infinity with him, he was absolutely incredible. What a beautiful film this is 👍🏼
EVERY Carfection video lives up to the name. The editing, the music, the presenting! Everything is perfection! I wish I had found this channel when it started years ago!
Probably the best video on UA-cam ever. Masterful.
Congratulations for this video guys!! We lost our hero 25 years ago... We miss him so much!!!
As usual, quality, pure quality.
You are such a joy to watch and listen to.........champion of UA-cam motor vids. You are F1 to me.....

A superb tribute, by a superb journalist, with a superb production crew, of an extraordinary driver. Outstanding stuff.
What a spectacular piece, Henry. It's a brilliant tribute.
Amazing video, gave me cold chills. And Senna's first lap, in my opinion, is the best lap in F1.
Leaps ahead of any other content on UA-cam! Unreal
Amazing Henry how You and the team of Carfection combined the past and future of "Senna".
Another epic Carfection film. Just awesome.
