Rolly Meeks they work fine. Although with Samdung tablet, I got glitchy video, while using 2 iphones and a ipad, everything went fine, except the temperature and battery (also on Samsung). Remember to use always their power supply, to avoid to run out of battery
Scott, I know this is an older posting, but have you done a comparison between IP Webcam and the Droid cam app for OBS. I did pay for the OBS Droidcam app to always have HD available but wonder how the quality compares with IPWebcam

I've installed OBS, the NDI plugin, and the NDI camera app for the iPhone. I see NDI as a source in OBS, but I don't see my phone with the app running. It's not available under source name. What might I have missed?
I've sorted it out, this may help some of you. I had to open up a port in my routers firewall 5353 to be precise. I also had to shut off the widows defender private firewall. I did try to create an inbound rule to allow 5353 thru, but that's not enough. Maybe I'll solve that bit with time. A Free alternative is to make a Skype call from your phone to your PC and let the Skype on your PC to generate the NDI Source which you can then tap into OBS. This is quite responsive and ITS FREE!
Hey Scott - Informative, detailed and simple BUT....when adding a Source, NDI option is not showing in the drop down menu (Source Properties) on my Windows Laptop. I've restarted the PC, OBS, and changed firewall from public to private, etc, etc and no luck. Video appears on my Android (Browser address added) but can't add the video capture device to show on OBS. Also, I'd prefer to use this setup on Streamlabs OBS if possible because the interface is much easier. Do you have a video for SLOBS?

What's perplexing is I had a live stream in SLOBS last week but the audio lagged. Once I connected the pc to a usb/ethernet adapter to stabilize the internet connection, there was no more audio. Hi Scott such a great video tutorial. My little challenge is that i got the IP webcam pro which worked perfectly with the OBS setup for about three times, just as you taught us but after some days now, the OBS setup is not working again with my droid ip webcam. hey scott, i installed the obs-ndi 4.9.0 on my win7 laptop. it automatically asks for update. now i was able to successfully add obs-ndi to my laptop and yes i checked tools to see it there. but as soon as i went to update per obs updater requests...... my laptop has been crashing all night! is there anyway to uninstall the update? thanks for any help this is really driving my crazy.

@Derek Reuter thanks! we've gone a different way, using a full blown system by Swag-it. My instructions at the time were to keep things cheap and MacGyver a system with whatever was on hand. My worry was not necessarily someone seeing the feed (public meeting) but penetrating *into* our network. And i would have used spare cell phones with no sim card. I'm not an IT person at all, just a layman who has some basic knowledge, was not intimidated by the request, and knows his limits. 😊

@@lukipuspitosari7597 Not sure how many people this will help, but for me the issue was that my network consists of two routers; a main one and an extension. However, the extension needed to be set to "AP mode" so that it truly operates as _just_ an extension to the main one. Once I did that, the app works 100% of the time. Also, try making sure you have wifi sync enabled in iTunes for your device. Not sure if that helps but I did that anyway.
In OBS settings, try disabling Hardware Acceleration for Browser source. Go to "Settings" > "Advanced" > "Sources" > "Enable Browser Source Hardware Acceleration" and uncheck to disable.

Then, in OBS, you have to add a new multimedia source, uncheck "Local File" and write on the source box: rtsp://192.168.xxx.xxx:8080/video/h264. Where Xxx.xxx is the Phone IP, and voalá ! Just wanted to let you know that I tried adding an audio source also using again a browser source and typing 192.168.11.101:8080/audio.wav as the URL and enabling the "Control audio via OBS" option. But the the lag is extreme. I saw you can adjust this maybe with a (delay/lag) filter, but didn't have time to look into that and went ahead and just recorded with my SM58 microphone instead.

can i use this on third party apps like using it as a webcam for classes and such?
Kira, yes you can but using your phone camera for long perids of time (more than 20 minutes) could over heat you phone.

SOLVED: Turn off any VPN and make sure in your network settings Ethernet Network profile is set to PRIVATE.

You can designate any color as invisible with OBS It's done with filters.

I’m having the same problem on 2 different computers. When I try to go wireless on my iPhone it’s shut down the program.
For android users just download the apk file ez save 20 dollar. And select source name from drop down list in obs

Lee, there's always a chance of a security risk. You must buy virus protection. Sofos is good.

Also, try making sure you have wifi sync enabled in iTunes for your device. Not sure if that helps but I did that anyway.

Have you restarted OBS? Also try restarting your computer. Many people are having trouble with it. Mostly Mac users.
In OBS settings, try disabling Hardware Acceleration for Browser source. Go to "Settings" > "Advanced" > "Sources" > "Enable Browser Source Hardware Acceleration" and uncheck to disable.

You can use, for example, CamOn App. Connect your OBS an CamOn app into the the same Wifi.
Then, in OBS, you have to add a new multimedia source, uncheck "Local File" and write on the source box: rtsp://192.168.xxx.xxx:8080/video/h264.
Where Xxx.xxx is the Phone IP, and voalá !

Hi there ! Thank you very much for this tutorial, it helped me a lot ! Just wanted to let you know that I tried adding an audio source also using again a browser source and typing 192.168.11.101:8080/audio.wav as the URL and enabling the "Control audio via OBS" option. But the the lag is extreme. I saw you can adjust this maybe with a (delay/lag) filter, but didn't have time to look into that and went ahead and just recorded with my SM58 microphone instead.
Sigh, yea, I've hear about that thanks man. I have to dig into a solution. I've been off the chart busy the past month.
