this the best Hawaii spearfishing video I've ever seen, makes me wonder if Oahu used to look this rich before all the overfishing? Cant wait for that ulua video 70 pounds is an absolute beast🔥🤙
Thanks man. Huge compliment. Unfortunately I think everywhere used to look like this. Ulua vid is going to be fire but afraid to go to my buddies and smoke it till this chills out.
Holy shit this was a good ass video man. Got me hyped for sure. Perfect binge worthy video during this time of quarantine lol. Great grounds and keep it comin! 🤙🏼💯
@@RyanMyersExpeditions awesome. I ll give your channel shoutout on my insta story so more of my spearo followers can subscribe to your UA-cam channel too cause I know they would enjoy your videos just like I do and especially now when we sitting at home and wanting some entertainment amidst this crazy covid19 situation...🤙
Sea of Cortez is supposed to be epic! Been down to la Paz but that’s it for that far south. Everywhere is amazing sometimes just gotta catch it at the right time.
I can really see this channel blowing up, your videos and commentary is mo bettah than the Hawaii Skin Diver episodes. Keep it up brada Ryan and continue to provide more content, I live out in the 9th Island aka Las Vegas. These videos remind me of home and how much I miss the ocean. Right on brah, stay blessed and dive safe. Aloha 🤙
I used to spearfish knife jaws all the time in Japan. It was my wife's favorite fish for sashimi. Firmer texture, but when you cook it, the flavor goes away. Try it sometime.
Mahalo for the awesome dive video bring back good memories . Its nice to see those old dive grounds i once dived 30 yrs ago. Still get fish but use to have much much more kumu years ago. :( oh those pinnacles use to have trippy looking fish. Nenui with parrot like beaks and other strange looking fish. Always be safe take only what you need. Aloha keakua.
Your video quality has advanced quickly. Really enjoy learning tips and technique. I live in Idaho and the last time I was in Florida, drug my family out of the way to the Florida freediver shop. That place is awesome. I snagged the same hat.
I’ve watched your videos a few times, not sure why I didn’t subscribe before but I really enjoyed this video and especially the commentary. I would love to fish again and Hawaii reminds me of Okinawa. Can’t believe you didn’t shoot a knife jaw, bru, SASHIMI big time man.
Great vid👍 couple questions - how do you train to hold your breath so long? When do you know to surface without risk of blacking out? Aren’t you concerned that having the bleeding fish tethered close by will attract tiger sharks? Thanks
Thanks man lots of practice is key I dive 4-5 days a week for many years. Ya I am sometimes concerned about sharks but if you want fish you have to go into their ocean.
Sickk video i just subscribed love the knowledge u share, born and raised here in Hawaii and not a big fan of papio sashimi, never did try the yellow spot one sashimi i gotta try um now. Braddah Justin is solid too you guys got eachothers back🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Neil Molina nah no menpachi catch and cook this time but kole catch and cook, kona crab catch and cook, and ulua catch and cook all out next week! Glad you like em!!!
I gotta get over there. Was in Tahiti last December and it was nice, but a little to remote. It looks like you have the best of both worlds!! Gotta bring the kids and teach them to spearfish.
Ryan Myers I would believe it, it looks great. I think balance in everything is good, but unfortunately the world is either left or right. I just hope that with all the potential angst between the US and China that places like Hawaii don’t get stepped on. Anyway, I just want to go there to spear in warmer waters. The ocean is only 400m from my house, but the water is 10c. (50f) and my wetsuit is not warm enough...good enough excuse.
I live on maui. I have all the equipment. I have everything I could need to go dive.. except one thing... I'm a dad of four and a husband... dangit I wanna dive.
Hi ryan...it was really cool and awesome videos ever i ever see!... How about encountering any big sharks like great whites and tiger sharks? How to manage this kind of sharks while spear fishing????
this the best Hawaii spearfishing video I've ever seen, makes me wonder if Oahu used to look this rich before all the overfishing? Cant wait for that ulua video 70 pounds is an absolute beast🔥🤙

I want to go dive with Justin lee! He seems so cool!! Great Video Ryan!!
he's the best. gonna have to make it out here for some dolphin swims and spearfishing eventually!
He really is the best. Come back out with Judah once this madness chills out!
Best Spearfishing video out there!! besides the video itself, it’s awesome that you explain how everything plays role!! Way to go Ryan and Jus!!!
Thanks Chris really appreciate it!
Maybe you can insert a depth/bottom time gauge... so the rest of us mere mortals can be even more envious....
Thanks man need to get my watch back and I’ll make that happen.
That's what I'm talking about! Valley of the kings is amazing I can't believe how untouched it is! Super inspiring video brother.
Found your channel this week. I always enjoy watching people appreciate the gifts the islands have to offer.

Definitely your best video yet!🔥
Agreed thanks MJ! Hoping to keep improving.
Best power bar ever! And such a great video that I made sure to stream off the t.v.!!!!
That’s awesome man thanks! And ya freaking love them.
🤣🤣 "don't show the shoreline." one of the ways I find spots when I watch oahu dive videos.
Ya pretty standard. I’m awful at showing it so good to have friends tell me not too otherwise I totally will. I hunt for spots the same way.
Happens here in Guam also lol.
Absolutely epic video as usual, still waiting for my invite to one of these dives😂😂. Awesome content as usual.
hahahah same tho
After the madness let’s do it.
Love these vids man, keep em comin!!

Those are some dream spots! That puts the sea of Cortez area to shame. Hopefully I’ll end up in Hawaii later on in life to join you guys spearfishing.

This video is so good! I wish I could dive that deep.
Thanks man keep practicing!!!
Thanks I will

We’ve tried em raw they are pretty good but really like em cooked. Big fan of them.
I got some footage of the massive knife jaws I stoned many years ago. Gotta find a way to edit and post...
Dude, nice save on the uku, that was epic☺☺
Love it! Keep uploading man!!
Thanks! New one coming out any second.
@@RyanMyersExpeditions 😎
Never seen a yellow spot that big, nice action🤙🏼
Me either thought they were usually only like 1 lb.

Gotta be as still as possible out there for sure!

Thanks Paka!
I need that video of you shooting the ulua! when is it coming in?
On insta stories today briefly. @RyanMyers_Expeditions
Hi ryan. If you don’t mind can i ask one question. If you gun 120cm roller. How long you keep the rubber band?you use 16mm rubber band?
Ya 16 mm at like 360% - 380 %
Ryan Myers thank you very much. Cant wait for the big GT video
I live on maui. I have all the equipment. I have everything I could need to go dive.. except one thing... I'm a dad of four and a husband... dangit I wanna dive.
Lol gotta make the time for it! Teach your wife or bring the kids!
Igrnorant main lander here, wonder why you don’t reel the fish in more instead of hand line the big fish in.
Do the Menapachi fish get hot flashes?
They do not
The older female ones do
Hi ryan...it was really cool and awesome videos ever i ever see!... How about encountering any big sharks like great whites and tiger sharks? How to manage this kind of sharks while spear fishing????
We see sharks all the time but they really don’t want anything to do with you most of the time.
Great bro...I see most of the videos all the time..Need some respect as well to the sharks..Thanks Ryan!!
Do you have any videos on different spearfishing techniques? Like the dive bomb one you were talking about.
They are on the way. Everything I’ve got is in the archives somewhere gotta search.
Ryan Myers alright, thanks!
