Thanks for showing your breathe up and packing. I get the hesitation but for those of us who have taken the dive courses its great to follow you along with the specific technique and timing you use to lower hr, purge and reset C02 and pack. I will be watching again and hope there is more in future videos.

I use to be a small boat commercial fisherman, retired now because of a bad back but I still like to catch fish so I bought a speargun and planned to try for uku since that was what I use to go for. The biggest I've caught on hook and line was 36 lbs. I don't think I'll ever spear one that big but I love eating them. I can't dive as deep as you, can dive up to 40 ft. and maybe 50 ft. if I push it. I hope I can get lucky in more shallow waters since that's my goal.

The breathe up info was super helpful bro, thank you. Not a spearo just yet, was suppose to start diving 2 weeks ago, but can't make it to the coast because Australia has gone bonkers with covid rules. We will go in February Instead, but I am spewing because November is lobster season, not February. Anyway, just trying to learn all I can.

I have a question for you, about the pathos speargun you were using, do you really like it?
I am asking, because a speargun with those two systems, they don't complement each other, they work really different, and in a certain way, the circular band ends up nullifying the full power of the roller system. I think, only using roller system will be more benefic for you than using both.

Random gear question.. I'm beginning to use single wrap instead of double. I notice through this video you do use single wrap rather than double that I see from more recent videos. Is there a significant reason you switched it up? Only real reason for single wrap to be used for me is easier line management when shooting fish that like to play real dirty like Uku. Just wondering if I'm missing something to the double wrap that I should reconsider. Thanks Ryan! Your videos and setup has been great to implement into my own setups! 🤙

I see you, kimi Werner etc cooking up kole at least no question. Is cig just overhyped or is there a good to know way to avoid the toxin??

99% of koles are safe to eat. dont eat the roy or any other colorful reef fish besides uhu. to be safe just hunt silver fish haha
