  • Some everyday scenes from Mambajao, which is Camiguin's capitol. This peaceful way of life may be lost once the malls are built. This video was recorded 10/20/2016, just before the Lanzones Festival, and Halloween. I used ProDad ProDrenalin 1.0 to stabilize some shots.

It appear and sounds like it is a relatively quiet peaceful area. I did not hear many horns. I hope it stays that way. Nice views.

For some reason, unknown to me, Mambajao was more quiet than usual.

By the way, the honey I buy at Metro is Camiguin. It is difficult to find raw honey. I think this is.

I'll guess that honey comes from Raphael, the guy that owns the Camiguin Bee Farm Bistro. He has a lot of businesses. He told me he built a castle on Cebu.

I was thinking it was probably the place you had on video. It is also reasonably priced compared to expensive "cooked" USA honey.

Amazing Philippines More than that, it's "real" honey. Raphael told me he almost never has to supplement his bees' diet with sugar because there are always some flowers blooming on Camiguin.

How do you keep your camera so steady?

Well, I try to be very careful, and sometimes I use a tripod. If I'm still dissatisfied I use stabilizing software.

Very interesting! It sure looks like a happy place with good people. Is the president duturte disdain for America of any concern to you?

I can't blame President Duterte. He came to office with a promise to end the drug problems here, and that's what he's doing. Obama's meddling in the internal affairs of The Philippines is wrong, but the US seems to think The Philippines can't do without the US. Duterte is proving that that ain't necessarily so. Also, US response to China's buildup has been weak and ineffective, and Duterte seems to think that if there's a war over territorial waters that the US won't use its military to force China to adhere to international law, and The Philippines would be the one to suffer the consequences. With US "leaders" like Obama it isn't hard to imagine that he may well be right.
