So at 56 with no experience in graphic arts and video I took a job that was to have been guest relations and quickly morphed into full page content rich newspaper ads, flyers, posters, signs, electronic lboards , press releases and video editing and managing contract social media managers. After two, three hour tutorials I got thrown into doing everything Mind you I had tons of experience with word processing but no ga. Loved every minutes of it and became pretty proficient over five years. It is hard, detailed work that takes time and pride of workmanship. Bless his heart for trying but not only is there no care in the filming, no staging and no prep in the transcript portion, the cameos are just bad. The best analogy I can think of is when a family hires a stranger to do a service for a funeral and they can’t even get the name right. Cringe!!! Hire a tutor, get him into community college and a group home where he is taught self care and basic life skills. Most of all socialization. He honestly isn’t any more slovenly than a lot of average kids from middle class families who have neglected the kids and their social skills. He will likely be able to live independently (maybe), hold a job and have a family but he needs love and direction. I wish the best for him. Is she a great Mom? Not really. Is she the worst? Not really. Is she failing the kids on so many levels? Yes. The bottom line is that in conducting her life and involving the kids as she does she is squandering so many valuable opportunities to give the brood a rich, quality life. Shop like a maniac, but take the older kids and teach them how to compare prices. Show them where the items in a grocery store are. How to read the nutrition info on labels including serving sizes in the giant ass bags of m & m’s. Learn and teach them how to cook basic things. Take a mommy and me video class. I cracked myself up on that. Sorry. Do one on one things with the kids. One last thing in this too long of a comment… They can’t be donating food to food bank. They would film it. I think they are writing off the food bc it is part of content and stocking the grandparents’ fridge.

I don't have TikTok, but on Reddit, someone shared a Cameo of his in which he tells a woman (girl?) to "stop getting ploughed by alcoholic fat guys." Yeah. If that were my teenage kid putting something like that out into the world, his car keys (among other privileges) would be gone.
His age is a teenager but he is an adult. He would be considered an adult in england regardless of still attending school. As much as alicia can advise him, hes an ADULT and can do what he pleases

It's interesting that you and DCP posted a video on this subject within a couple of days of each other. I am not on Tik Tok and did not know what a Cameo was before this. It is strange to me that people want to pay money for their favorite influencer to say a few words to them. From the clips I've seen of Alex's, none of them are worth the money he got for them.
They say live and learn, but in some cases you don't need to live it to learn it. He's an adult by law, but still very much a child, so it's quite disturbing seeing bullying comments from adults. I'm very curious as of now what will be the next step. Getting a girl pregnant? Eventually kicking him out because he is no longer under the age of 18 and is officially out of high school? All the things she gave to him through content she made off of them, what percentage will he really keep. May sound far fetch but we need to start fearing for what may actually happens when he graduates from high school and she kicks him out with nothing. Or was it just to illustrate that 90% of people who buy cameos are trolling? About Alex, I watched the beginning of DCP's video about him and it felt more cringe than Alex's actual videos. I'm sure Lush put his whole list of diagnosis out there but I'm going to go out on a limb and say Alex has FASD. So, he isn't mentally 18 and in many countries he wouldn't even be considered an adult at that age with that diagnosis. If he has a job in construction and is able to hold that down, that's way more than you could expect from him at such a young age. It's sad that Alicia and Josh didn't stop him from doing these cameos but I don't know to what degree you can still control what a teenager or actually a legal adult does online. But asking him for relationship advice and then reposting it to make fun of him, that's just making fun of an innocent kid with a life long disability.
Chantal did a really good job in the cameo I bought, for sure. Unfortunately she doesn't practice what she preaches and routinely attacks other people's appearance and fat shames. By making the full clip available, other content creators in her community can use it for commentary. Alicia has absolutely detailed his life story. Teena Bee (Buzz Byte) did a video on a podcast Alicia and Josh were on where they talked a lot about Alex. It was... Not good. Definitely Alicia and Josh should be looking more critically at platforms like cameo but I suppose they can't stop him. But all the more reason to try and use it as a learning experience.
