FYI I missed an instance where Alicia uses one of her kid's names. I blame the dayquil 🥴 I tried to see if I could fix it in UA-cam Studio, but my options were limited 😞

I'm pretty sure in a video this year she said something about washing bedsheets weekly. I rather doubt that. I'm pretty sure the mother from Crazy Pieces said something about doing their sheets weekly, but it's more believable with them than with the Dougherty's in my opinion.

I don't understand why they didn't just have P share a room with one of their siblings that has an extra bed for the night then swap the dirty bed with one of the mattresses they already have? No one would question the top bunk that is used for playing or the teenagers extra bed having a camping mat. Im pretty sure that camping mattress was actually a 10 inch foam slab, might be better than the one she got at Walmart.
I actually can relate in that i grew up very sick with a low income family. One-time I got incredibly sick in my bed in the middle of the night. My parents had to take off my mattress and gave me a very thin camping pad with layers od blankets to make soft for a few days. They genuinely could not save my old one and couldn't afford a new bed for me. But even then they didn't forget, would have me sleep over with family and friends to prevent spinal issues and when at home made it like a fort making game so it was fun not depressing I could not have a real bed for the week. As soon as they could afford it they got a new one for me, they had to have the foam custom cut to fit my antique bed frame but tried to get the best quality they could so I'd have a comfy bed to grow up with. I know having so many kids things go on the back burner but idk how you forget to even comfort the kid over the inherently confusing and upsetting situation of not having a real mattress because of something gross happening. That can really effect a child. Especially a kid who already struggles to speak up about their needs, they will judt internalize they are not the priority. I also noticed the childs room is barely decorated, even with my families poverty when my bed was ruined they still used it as a chance for me to decorate a bit. My mom used things we already had to DIY some cute stuff so it wasnt a negative experience. Also helped me learn how to navigate emergency situations when you cannot afford to urgently fix everything. Idk, this is worrisome.
She seems way in over her head, she looked like she was stressed to near tears in these clips. Idk if im reading into things too hard but she seems so burnt out. She really should hire help to do these task and help manage the household, it would be so much better for everyone.

Im sorry but if getting mattress protectors for all them would getting waterproof for everyone not make more sense? Teenagers are gross, kids of all ages spill water, have nightmares leading to one off accidents, get sick and miss the floor/bucket, accidentally bleed into the bed. There is no need to single out who has bed wetting struggles when no one would question why someone would get a waterproof cover for all the kids. If not able to clean up a dog mess and needing to throw out the bed, I feel like being prepared for anything would be best. I understand taking care of so many kids comes with its own unique struggles but protecting all the kids beds would just long term make her life easier.

I find it extremely sad that she bought that mattress for P. She previously bought purple mattresses for some of the other kids. I know those walmart foam mattresses are absolute crap. We bought them as a temporary mattress because when we moved they lost our stuff for 5 weeks and we had to go and get temp stuff to sleep on. We thought they’d be comfortable but absolutely isn’t. She doesn’t focus on the kids whatsoever. Anything she buys or does for the kids is all for content. And I agree if that’s what she can afford that would be one thing. Their furniture is crappy but of course the golden child has his own room and nice furniture. They don’t have enough space for everyone. I did the math and it’s like you put a family of 4 in an average hotel room. That’s their living space. But also mom has a hoarding issue. But she keeps buying things. All three girls share a room. Their house is 2700 sq ft.

P and B were never her favorites to begin with and the issue is its so apparent.. didn't realize D now has his own bedroom with room for guest and the 3 other older boys share a basement space. Guess we know who the favorite is (the kid who probably brings the most views). I stopped watching DD for a long time because i got annoyed with Alicia and unfortunately i found a lot of the kids to be really spoiled and undisciplined. i just watched a recent video and argh it's 2x more annoying to watch lol

Actually camping mattresses are super comfy more comfy than a regular mattress but, it still would be nice if she treated her kid better. Can you imagine what a nice big house they could live in if she would stop wasting money on so much garbage

That is not a good life. She has said at the beginning that some of the children have addiction tendencies and need to stay away from sugar and carbs. That’s all she feeds them. Constantly. Every single meal and snack. We’re not talking about sweets occasionally. She feeds them enough daily to choke an elephant.
