Same here replaced pump and filter will run great thru the rev ranges then feels like it starves for fuel then will miss fire and loose most power and run rough
hi, i’ve changed DISA and MAF (both of them were bad), the car have now around +5 LTFT (usually less, even 3.1), it was +11.7 before. it feels powerful, however the STFT goes from -7.5 to +15 (sometimes more) when i accelerate, but after few seconds they drop to almost zero... is that bad or normal ? 🤔
Depends if code is thrown to be bad enough to harm the engine. When changed MAF and DISA did you reset the adaptations like suggested in the video ? ECU needs to re-learn after swapping intake components which is why trims bounce. AFAIK the trims have to be consistant within +-8 before a code is recorded.

I have changed to new oem sensors but still nothing and my oil is fresh n to specificatiins 5w 40. Do you think it could be the intake vanos solenoid that is faulty. Would love to share ideas with you.
Of course not just that , the cam shaft exhaust sensors , the crank shaft as well . Those will turn your car from a race car to an old busted pickup truck
@@sein7381 That's true, but when those sensors go bad, you'll notice it by the way the engine idles as well. With the other 2 issues i mentioned before, you won't notice anything while idling. Besides, this is about lack of power with NO fault codes. But good point though.
@@Martin280967 got you 👌🏻 I was merely listing more things that are responsible for the loss of performance and fuel consumption. I changed one cam shaft the other day and my car runs very fast now . I drive a 2003 e46 318i . But now , I'm having a weird problem, it only happens after I turn on the AC , the car shuts down in case I stop or drive very slow in traffic, and when I turn it on again , the car behaves as if I'm hitting the gas pedal then releasing it over and over , the problem persists for a while then it goes away after driving for a while . Never happened before , and now it keeps happening every time I turn on the AC
@@sein7381 Your problem can have several causes, but the 1st thing that came up in my mind is that your alternator is about to give up. Another problem what it can be, but not likely, is that your fuel pump is failing. The point is that your engine needs more power to keep the airco running. Edit; Your camshaft sensors for intake and outlet might very possible need a replacement.
@@Martin280967 soon I'm gonna be attending to the problem, but my guess , since it happens after the AC is on and only when the car comes to a stop is one of the three : Idle control valve , MAF sensor or the throttle body , or the three together 🤷🏻♂️ since the car feels like it has uneven revs after I turn it back on for a while before it goes back to normal . Thanks for the info though, would be good to check what you mentioned as well , especially the fuel pump .
Same thing with my e46, Changed the fuel pump, I changed the spark plugs, Tuned it up, I have the fuel filter and a new disa valve just need to replace it

Hello dear. I have a problem with the car for more than a year now I have been suffering help if you can. I have a bmw 545i n62b44, the problem is that the bottom does not pull on hot. For example, if I leave the car for 2-3-4 weeks and do not drive it, then it drives and pulls for a while, but then over time it starts not pulling again, gains momentum poorly, loses momentum, does not pull, no acceleration. I changed everything that could be changed.and everything checked. valve cover new,PCV-CCV changed,Spark plugs bosh bmw group original, the original changed the ignitions coils new original, the benzo pump filter changed the original 3.5 bar bosh original, there are no errors in the diagnosis, the catalysts were removed and no error code , the check engine does not burn, the MAF sensor is normal, I don’t eat it myself, but I look after it. I can’t keep up for 3-3.5 engine Toyota up to 5000 rpm and after 5000 rpm the car seems to be driving Help brotherly what could be. What is the problem.where to begin tell please

@@ElbowgreaseDIY think could be small vacuum leak from exhaust t-flap pipe found it was disconnected and making hissing sound. I ddint think that would affect engine running, but does make exhaust sound loud when driving around town.

check the vacuum line from fuel regulator in the filter, and check vacuum leaks!

The main 2 reasons for lack of power are a weak fuel pump and clogged up catalytic converters.
Of course not just that , the cam shaft exhaust sensors , the crank shaft as well . Those will turn your car from a race car to an old busted pickup truck

Yes both banks. If pressure is low it will misfire at rpm

Weak spark will cause lean, yes lean. Maf to clean, vacuum leaks will show only at low rpm

Fuel pump but with fuel filter for good practice
I'm def going through crazy amounts of oil
Fucking hate e46 had one and all I got from it is problem after problem nice ride with e46 but its not worth the hussle
And I'm building a drift e46 🔥🤘
