So, just hooked up the snowblower and pulled the PTO lever. Light comes on, can hear some noise but not snowblower level noise. Filming from the back, the rear PTO is spinning, but the shaft leading to the snowblower does not? Also, when I rise off the seat the PTO does NOT turn off as it should? Any thoughts. (I reached under and I can push the button in and out and the lever spring seems to be working as i push it and let it go. The lever is constantly touching the button though, but I think it should be? Sorry so long, just searching for solutions:)

Hum... what happens when you switch PTO? try switching to rear only... then switch to belly only...

@@nathandavis7593 Not sure what you mean by switch to rear?. When I pull the PTO switch, it lights up on dash and the rear PTO is spinning, which should turn the PTO attachment I add to power the snowblower. And it does not stop when I come off seat. So, I am pretty sure the pull- on switch on dash is good because PTO in rear spins, but I am thinking the little box under tractor that has the lever and push button also has a plug in it. I wonder if that has gone bad where it plugs in or I may have to trace where it goes. I could test the plug for continuity with voltage meter? Sorry if confusing, I am not techie or mechanical at all. lol. But thanks for answering

@serenityfarmsprepping2267 when sitting in the seat, there is a lever on your left that controls which PTO to operate. Rear only, both, belly. But from what you have described sounds exactly what happened to me except I broke it when I was running over some brush. Sounds like you are on the right track with the switch.

@@nathandavis7593 woo hoo. FIXED. The inside PTO lever handle was in the MID position as it should be for blower. I never touched it besides just tapping it as I looked at the position . After farting
Around I decided to move it back
And forth and it moved 2 spots forward MEANING it read mid ,but was in the back position only. As I looked down to where the nut attached it to tractor it looked loose. And it was, not enough to fall off but enough to let handle slide forward to mid while PTO was in rear only. Moved Hadley to rear and tightened nut right and all good . Not being a mechanic or playing one on tv I am not sure this could happen but it did :) I just had some dumb luck figuring it out. Does anyone think this could be a more serious issue in time or just a loose nut from daily usage?

I like the idea . . .I would have placed a 5 Amp inline fuse on the red jump line . . . I just would not feel comfortable adding a red power wire without an in line fuse . . I rather cook a fuse than cook my wiring harness on my JD . . . its only my idea to be proactive than reactive . . .

quick put a GFI on all your house light switches too! there's already a bunch of fuse blocks with FI in the system as it is. this switch is purely democrat nancy pelosies fault because drunkards such as her self run over people while driving in reverse all day long 24/7/365 wouldn't be surprised if florida democrat hank johnson co sponsored the bill, after all putting all the usa troops on one side of the island of guam will flip the island over. guam should have safety chains on all sides tied to ground pylon footings drilled into berock to secure the island from flipping over!
