Que107 see that’s how people see him: slow, bad recovery, etc. but I’ve been maining him for almost a year now, and honestly, there are no matchups i can’t win. down throw combos work u til around 70%, and you can kill confirm off of that. People really underestimate his edgeguarding potential, it’s low key pretty gOod. All of his aerials edgeguard well. I just wish people would put time into him past the “he’s slow and bad recovery”. His recovery isn’t even that bad
Somebody should mention that your second confusion while airborne does NOT disrupt vertical momentum so doing it out of your double jump can gain you insane height and further stall/mix-up recovery
Yeah I actually was really thinking about mentioning it. But I decided not to include it in the video because I very rarely use Confusion more than once offstage. And the times I do is either a misinput, or I get punished for it. Though I haven't labbed it out fully so I'll give it a second look.

Using your first confusion high so you can use a falling reflector on characters like hero or Samus (normal confusion pops you up so it's a little unsafe sometimes) 3. When recovering low against aggressive characters so that you can quickly teleport back to center stage
Gimr made a video off something like this, if you confusion in the air with close spacing, it true combos to fair starting at 140% in all characters without a 1-2 frame of invincible option I believe

I'm a relatively new player so please excuse my lack of terminology, but can and should this move be used to avoid being knocked into the blast zone? Kinda like ZSS' flip kick?
This is a fantastic question, and I definitely should've mentioned this in the video. Short answer: No. Confusion stops all momentum that Mewtwo causes, but cannot stop any momentum caused by the opponent. You're better off air dodging in or using your double jump to avoid the blast zone.
Great vid as always! The one thing I would've added is how Confusion can increase your double jump height (if you've already used aeiral confusion before double jumping). You can get the same height increase using Shadowball or Disable, but I find Confusion the most useful.
There's actually another tech that can help to recover: If you use Confusion before your double jump then use it again at the peak of your double jump, it'll actually sustain the momentum and have you jump higher. It doesn't work if you only use confusion once.

Some notes: Confusion to land imo is only good if u are decently above the opponent, because if u r low like jn some of ur clips u just kinda stall without a hitbox and u can def grt hit and continue ur didadvantage . Confusion fair also does not work on marcina, they can jump. Confision Uair is not true at all lol At percents like 110-120 where the chars can only airdodge out otherwise they get faired confusion can frame trap, so u should kill them then. What u do is confusion, fair, fastfall, react to their airdodge and punish with either disable if they are facing u or ftilt. U cannot grab because of the grab timer which nerfs mewtwo a bit.
I agree with everything you said except for the up air. I don't recall saying in the vid that it was ever true out of confusion. And if I did, I apologize. But I'm pretty sure all I said was that it can be used in some situations. If that wording made it sound like I thought it was true, then I apologize.
I thought shorthop confusion was true into fair at 120%. Surprised you didn't mention the big height gain from using confusion a second time while airborne. Anyway, Confusion being a frame 10 reflector/command grab is really nice.
Man i am a beginner and i wanna tryhard smash, and I enjoy playing Mewtwo. But he is like lower mid Tier and I wanna do good result at local tournaments and even Majors. Do you think Mewtwo is enough good for that ?
just a tip, confession has a really large hit-box, so it is decent at poking players. it reaches about the length of f tilt or down tilt. but it is a huge commitment

Yup. Puts your opponent into tumble. They're lifted up in the air, so unless they act out immediately, they will be in tumble

Hes still a mediocre character at best mostly bc of his size to weight ratio being a big flaw.

you didn't mention the jump boost , it's sometimes useful to skip disadvantage edgetrap

At a local level you can succeed with any character, once you start winning your locals and regionals then you might wanna switch characters haha
