For anyone who would like an opinionated list of difficulty based on my Co-op LASO experiences, I've completed every LASO except Halo CE which I'm currently at 5/10... My list for difficulty would be this: 7. Halo Infinite: Incredibly easy with the Scorpion Gun and even without it, you could take over FOB's and do objectives to get weapons and reinforcements to call in for assistance. 6. Halo 3: ODST: Honestly the easiest one in MCC by far, most levels were incredibly easy, except Coastal Highway which was definitely more on the ranking of Reach levels. 5. Halo 4: Honestly, the only problems we had were with the earlier missions, and Elites. Promethean Knights aren't the hardest to deal with assuming they're in lower numbers, you can just assassinate them with back smacks. 4. Halo Reach: By far the hardest of the "easy" LASO's, most levels are on par with some of the harder levels of the original games, but many of the levels give you vehicles, or invincible teammates to hide behind and let them fight. 3. Halo 2: I truly feel this game gets way too much hype for its' difficulty, unless you are doing it without any speedrun tactics or doing research to prepare yourself, the only levels that are even remotely challenging are Gravemind, Regret, and Cairo Station, not to mention, many of the skulls in Halo 2 are beneficial, such as Anger, Sputnik, and Black Eye. First of all, Anger means that enemies will fire their weapons until they overheat, which "stuns" them and allows you to walk around them and back smack them. Speaking of which, Sputnik and Black Eye make much of this game a joke. Sputnik makes enemies spin around when you punch them, so you can just back smack them, which gives shield for killing enemies with melee. Also, only in Halo 2, teammates and OBJECTS can be "killed" to get shields along with you being able to get up to a 2x Overshield. You can destroy flood corpses with melee for shield, barrels, cars, wall decorations, etc. Truly, most levels are like a 5/10, and then there is Gravemind which would probably be a 10/10, and Regret at 8/10, and Cairo Station at 9/10. 2. Halo 3: Easily the most underrated LASO as far as difficulty goes, the majority of levels were around an 7/10, except for The Ark and The Covenant which were definitely 8-9/10. Levels like Floodgate and Cortana were more of a 4/10. Unlike like Halo CE and Halo 2, there isn't any "helpful" skulls, and Tilt is just so annoying, but the saving grace is that certain.... things aren't active, allowing you to get whatever weapons you want. 1. Halo CE: The Foreign Skull... that's all that needs to be said. If that skull wasn't on, it would probably be under both Halo 2, 3, and maybe even Halo Reach. Luckily to make up for that, the Grunt Funeral skull definitely makes it a bit easier to kill elites by blowing up grunts.

hey, i love what you guys are doing with your channel, makes me remember the good times of couch co-op halo, you should start a community discord for your fans to get together and play like its 2007 again
Great run! Small addition to regret: The mechanic for despawning the Phantom is a little bit different. Once you trigger the spawn while throwing the nades, it is required to kill all the enemies from that specific spawn. When all enemies die the Phantom will 100% of the time despawn. Once the Phantom is despawned this means the approaching gondula will have enemies and you succesfully skipped a large part. This is also explained by Rocat in his speedrun. Currently doing the halo 2 under 3 hours, afterwards im gonna give this a go aswell :) thanks for the quality content!!
The starting room on Gravemind is probably the most brutal section in any Halo game, followed by the hangar room on Truth and Rec, the hangar room and bomb room on Cairo Station, the room with the two red Hunters on the Silent Auditorium, and maybe the fight with Regret. Honorable mentions go to the part on the firefight map on Pillar of Autumn (R), the triple Warden fight on The Breaking, and the time you get locked between the two doors on the Library.
Shouldn't need feather, try grenade jumping, but with partner on your head, double head jump then bot player grenade jumps and you head jump off them again . I found me and my buddy using this method on some old vhs tapes lol
The most important thing always is the practice. I’ve always practice at least 1 time in legendary with all the skulls (except assassins & iron) to memorize the spawn locations, build confidence to myself with the IA possible rng’s, learn how the tricks and skips works and then, execute the actual run.
For the gravemind elevator. What I do besides doing elevator skip is me and the person in carrying go down and throw grenades at the outer spawns either they die or dodge then one grenade at the brutes. Everything usually dodges or dies sometimes. Usually just enough to get to second floor.
I strongly recommend not having both players go inside the Regret fight unless both being completely good at doing those rocket grenade jumps. What my friend and I did was have one person throw a frag and the person jumping use the rocket to make it up, set up the room completely, ( I only set it up about 3/4 and we were still fine), then when ready to trigger the fight, the person setting up inside, would rendezvous outside with the other player and go to the gondola to get a checkpoint, then just slowly fight back to the boss room.
I thought regret was way worse than gravemind, because I did not know anything about the gondola glitches or the final room glitches to move boxes. So I had to deal with all the enemies and banshees on the Gondola and at the end room.
No no no my man if you beat cario on LASO you beat the 3rd hardest of the 13. You gotta get back in there you’ve got a walk in the park besides regret and Gravemind
@fisher foster Disagree. CE LASO ale you be basically invincible by spamming melee, even T&R and Library had tons of tricks that made them tolerable. Halo 2 wasn’t impossible but it was stupidly difficult and Cairo, Regret, and Gravemind were just absolute hell and near impossible without special strats and skips.
its like anything else. Getting adjusted to the difficulty level takes time. I remember when I beat legendary. It took a long time to adjust as I always play heroic, and the jump in difficulty is freaking huge. After a while it got much easier. Especially if you know all sniper jackal locations, which thankfully i did. You also must have not watched Silverscorpions guides. His guides and him in general are awesome. I watch his videos not even for the achievements, but because they are entertaining as hell.
Yea I beat the first level in halo 2 LASO, and it was so hard and took so long, so I never bothered continuing and trying to do any more. Maybe I’ll give it a shot now that I know it was one of the harder accomplishments of this endeavor. Thanks for the vid, I’m sure the advice will go a long way. It’s an empty achievement that’s been mocking my every waking thought for years now. Ok maybe it’s not that serious... or is it, is that why Carol left me? Is that what the judge meant when he said that, “raising a son has nothing to do with skulls,” when I lost custody? I need to sit down...I, I, am sitting down. I... need to sit further down...
Cairo Station has some of the most challenging sections in the original trilogy (hangar rooms, final encounter at the bomb). It took me hours to get through on solo Legendary, but I doubt I could do it LASO even with a friend.
My brother and I had to do the prison section in Gravemind after spending 2 hours trying to ride the elevator back up. Took a lot of time and skill, but it felt great afterwards.
I actually completed grapevine with a friend on laso legendary without doing the elevator trick it took us hours but we eventually realized that if you time grenades at the right spots you have a few seconds to drop down it's a certain levels of the prison and pick everyone from those safe spots but those grenades you throw have to be at the right time in at the right spot we just got lucky
For those willing and daring to do laso solo/coop, THERE IS A METHOD to do the 'buttefly' glitch for gravemind but it just takes dedication to do. Ill ctrl+v for what i said in another video that did was a guide for this as well but i felt it didnt explain in further detail for what to do when you get to the room and it'll only make sense for when you get there. The Ai DOES react in different ways when it comes to what weapons you have out. I wish anyone else doing this good luck and i hope that this does help. Switching to the carbine will make the brutes start throwing stickys. Just instead of having a brute shot out, pull your carbine out and immediately headshot the jackal as soon as you come through the door. Thanks to the dude who said that, it made this more consistent and hope this helps with the prison skip
Can you believe therre wasn't any Halo Infinite News during the Xbox Launch Day Celebration today?? WHAT WHERE WHO WHY AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Totally feel you on the crashing bit, it took me and a friend 5 trys before the game decided to let us keep playing. I wish i knew about the skip thing
I can’t believe I managed this alone, didn’t remember how bad Cairo station was, truly the worst for me, from there nothing as bad as the second boarding party.
I feel like I have the capability to beat the halo games on laso, the issue is I don't have a reliable second player thats dedicated enough to go through them with me and I don't want to them solo because of how the level resets everytime you die in solo, unlike co op where it just sends you to the last checkpoint if 1 player dies. I really want to do them so I can show off the chieves but getting a second player to do it with is a pain
tbh I had a harder time on CE laso then halo 2 laso, don't get me wrong halo 2 on laso is really hard but what I have experienced in CE laso is a complete nightmare
Truth and Reconciliation nearly made me quit my run. I legit started learning the speedrun tricks because there are some cases where that was seemingly easier than the guides I was following.
I'm not entirely sure what you mean about backsmacks not working, maybe it's because you're using a sword instead of a gun, but the sputnik skull makes it so when you hit elites they turn around, and then you can backsmack them for a 2 hit melee combo on all elites, by far the easiest way to take them out and it has the added benefit of recharging your shields with black eye.

Alternative title: "Can we beat gravemind laso"
As someone who went through that hell earlier this year, kudos.
This video feels great, the determination and will is just amazing. Great video
Damn the first 3 minutes explanation, he repeted himself so many times
A few months ago, me and one of my friends tried to beat Halo 2 on Legendary. It took us 8 hours to do the first 3 missions.
17:22 this section is the best and most hilarious part of this video
hey, i love what you guys are doing with your channel, makes me remember the good times of couch co-op halo, you should start a community discord for your fans to get together and play like its 2007 again
“Comcast crashed for whatever reason”
It’s Comcast say no more
Damn bro, Halo is my favorite game ever and watching you guys play it with such passion and dedication just amaze me
“Ask us about the glyphs”
Oh you tease 😂
"make our way into the building, kill the last bit of the enemys, and cutscene the trigger"
22: 17
It seems like you two treat Halo like lab technicians with the same amount of skill, patience, and methodicality. That was amazing!
“We almost never completed Halo 2 On Legendary, but we never came close to completing Halo 2 Legendary LASO.”
next challenge: can you beat halo 2 laso without touching the ground
Right now my friend and I are doing the LASOs, we started with Reach and now are on Halo CE, which now looks easy after seeing this.
Quarantine zone is cool, it allows you to glitch a golden warthog at the end :)
“Not long ago”
Man, you don’t have to soft it.
It still amazes me that Luke has a manlier voice, compared to Elija (is that how it is wrote)
You said that perfectly, instead of the word “wrote” it would be “written” (: your message came across just fine though
Close my friend, your English is actually pretty good.
Elijah
Your english is fine. Just for future reference it is Elijah with an h at the end
33:55 that Elite just enjoying his victory T-bag over the flood
I hope you dont have to delay Infinite again to finish, but it's understandable if you have to.
Uh he isn't in charge of the delays.
bro what
@@tTaseric Exactly
@@user-jw8yh6yq1p in the legendary 3 hours video he said "we called our contacts at 343 to have them delay the game to give us more time."
@@resijade4342 I am sorry but you are many forms of dumb if you think he was being serious.
For the gravemind elevator. What I do besides doing elevator skip is me and the person in carrying go down and throw grenades at the outer spawns either they die or dodge then one grenade at the brutes. Everything usually dodges or dies sometimes. Usually just enough to get to second floor.
Do we have a release date for the finale, I'm so committed now lol
I strongly recommend not having both players go inside the Regret fight unless both being completely good at doing those rocket grenade jumps. What my friend and I did was have one person throw a frag and the person jumping use the rocket to make it up, set up the room completely, ( I only set it up about 3/4 and we were still fine), then when ready to trigger the fight, the person setting up inside, would rendezvous outside with the other player and go to the gondola to get a checkpoint, then just slowly fight back to the boss room.
When I did laso runs I taped a quarter to my screen so I could still aim well
Lol
why a quarter
@@resijade4342 big tv, and it’s just a hair bigger than the sniper reticle. Once their head is behind the quarter, boom headshot.
I thought regret was way worse than gravemind, because I did not know anything about the gondola glitches or the final room glitches to move boxes. So I had to deal with all the enemies and banshees on the Gondola and at the end room.
When is this going to be finished??? Been waiting for a while😂
SAME!!!!!
@@endsin6729 same. Someone let me know when it happens please
Yes
I beat cairo station on laso alone, then I never even tried to attempt anothet mission cause cairo station is one of the easier ones on legendary.
No no no my man if you beat cario on LASO you beat the 3rd hardest of the 13. You gotta get back in there you’ve got a walk in the park besides regret and Gravemind
When is the next video of you guys completing this run?
The problem with the oracle is there is a severe lack of cover for most sections leaving you open to carbine elites.
And now you must do halo ce laso which is more difficult.
Perhaps. However if you are playing using a controller, ce is the most difficult. Also, nice reference.
Halo ce Laso is more difficult according to halo completionist. Argue with him instead.
its like anything else.
Yo. This had 0 dislikes and its epic
been replaying all these (not LASO) this is very entertaining watching it on this extreme mode lmao. subbed
Well infinite was supposed to come out on this videos launchdate sooooooo...
My brother and I had to do the prison section in Gravemind after spending 2 hours trying to ride the elevator back up. Took a lot of time and skill, but it felt great afterwards.
This man keeps interrupting himself.
Speedrun Club Penguin next.

13 minutes in and they’re still on the first level. I’m taking that as a sign that this didn’t go so well, or to expect a part 2, 3, 4, and 5
Can you believe therre wasn't any Halo Infinite News during the Xbox Launch Day Celebration today??
WHAT WHERE WHO WHY AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I don't want to get political or anything but
Cairo station worse than gravemind
And Regret is worse than both!

Go ahead and try it they said, you won’t cry for ever they said. suicidal thoughts will permeate you entire day every day while trying this.
Dont worry, 343 isn’t gonna release infinite for another 700 years
Totally feel you on the crashing bit, it took me and a friend 5 trys before the game decided to let us keep playing. I wish i knew about the skip thing
Were it so easy..
Luke sounded so defeated when Elijah crashed, I felt it in my soul
I can’t believe I managed this alone, didn’t remember how bad Cairo station was, truly the worst for me, from there nothing as bad as the second boarding party.
I feel like I have the capability to beat the halo games on laso, the issue is I don't have a reliable second player thats dedicated enough to go through them with me and I don't want to them solo because of how the level resets everytime you die in solo, unlike co op where it just sends you to the last checkpoint if 1 player dies. I really want to do them so I can show off the chieves but getting a second player to do it with is a pain
Quickly save/quit then resume: that doesn't reset the level. On H2 actually doesn't add time up in the score either.
That black screen is fine, he can make editing mistakes lmao! I just wana watch the video 😂
This video is amazing, Absolutely great work.
tbh I had a harder time on CE laso then halo 2 laso, don't get me wrong halo 2 on laso is really hard but what I have experienced in CE laso is a complete nightmare
Truth and Reconciliation nearly made me quit my run. I legit started learning the speedrun tricks because there are some cases where that was seemingly easier than the guides I was following.
This man makes it look like an hour gameplay while it took me 3 months. Great
Cherdleys or this.... I CHOOSE THIS!! 😝
Cherdleys hella good tho
@@crewchmelar9441 ikr 😂 just finished the video and it looks like we gona have 8-9 more videos like this!!!
Don’t forget there is an achievement as well for LASO playlist
The answer is nooooooooo.
I still have nightmares from when I did it 😭😭😭
Same 🥺
I'm not entirely sure what you mean about backsmacks not working, maybe it's because you're using a sword instead of a gun, but the sputnik skull makes it so when you hit elites they turn around, and then you can backsmack them for a 2 hit melee combo on all elites, by far the easiest way to take them out and it has the added benefit of recharging your shields with black eye.
