I tried and remembered I’ve never played on pc before and I don’t even remember how to play enough to not be able to see my hud. 20k would make me feel better not having a job though.
It happened! Jervalin did it! Cuddly and Frazier figured out a way to skip past the prison section on Gravemind by using a plasma grenade to push a brute captain into the gravity lift, and then repeatedly lunging and melee-cancelling your way back up to the top of the lift. Jervalin used the trick to do a prison skip and he completely the challenge.
I remember playing legendary halo2 with a friend and getting stuck for 4 hours fighting the prophet and his guard, i have never been so angry at an alien cripple in my entire life than when i was fighting him.
Yeah even Charlie says he is likely to be the one to win the bounty and honestly, I think he will. He just needs that RNGesus to be on his side through Gravemind and get through it.

I never played Halo, and i know almost nothing about Halo 2. But i love watching challenging challenge runs, and this one caught my eye so i'm gonna start watching Jervalin attempts.
In metropolis, the trick is to get a banshee through the tunnel. You have to break the wing tips off and then survive through to the end of the tunnel with it. Then at the exit you have to board the banshee at the exact moment the checkpoint loads. If you get it through successfully, there's an Easter egg on one of the tallest buildings that let's you use the scarab gun.
Why is the challenge impossible? Well as someone whos beaten legendary H2 i can say this. The game cheats. Jackals have aim bot. You die as soon as a light breeze hits you. Shields are a fucking myth. Now take that. And add all the skulls on.
yea exactly, that's what people who aren't familiar with Halo 2 don't understand, they think that the problem is runners aren't fast enough or skilled enough in aiming or movement and that's the reason everyone is losing, it's not. It doesn't matter if you're an actual aimbot and have superhuman reaction and keyboard/controller mechanics because the game is quite literally provably unfair at this difficulty, it makes it so that it doesn't matter how fast you can kill enemies or move around the level, like most enemies in LASO can instakill you the moment they see you, so you actually need to glitch the game in a lot of spots to even have a chance of making it through lol

When this challenge first came out, I first said "Damn, it would take a lot more than five grand to make it worth the grind." Turns out I was right. $20k probably still isn't gonna end up being enough either though.

I always thought that the blind skull took away too much because in real life you wouldn't have a heads up display but you'd still be able to see your weapon you can actually do that in Metroid prime 2. In prime one your health bar stays. And I believe in both of them you can also change whether you can see your helmet or not.
I always thought getting rid of the weapon was tedious, I get it, but it would be less challenging if you could see where you’re gonna shoot, also muh immersion

Not so long ago probably a month ago I played halo 2 mcc on legendary and MY god the word torture is described perfect with this game. Cairo station was like Vietnam but much traumatizing. Next level "Mombasa" was HELL , the jackal snipers are the worst enemy's you would be with in a tight city with balcony etc. But put it simply , if you value your sanity and psychological health: DONT DO IT !!!
LASO was coined during Halo 3: ODST, which came out in 2009, where Reach came out in 2010. If you don't believe me, there was literally an ACHIEVEMENT for the LASO in Halo 3 ODST, proposed by BUNGIE so every player had a chance to earn Recon armor for Halo 3. So no offense, but that bit goes further back than Reach.
LASO started in regular halo 3 not halo ODST… also I’m pretty sure ODST came out 2 years before Halo Reach… Wikipedia Is kind of wonky sometimes I mean anyone can change the numbers and information of any given page…
It was original halo 3 that had the laso and the Recon armor was made available for halo 3 and unfortunately only a few people had the flaming recon helmet…
There are some later runs that feel like your survival is more like RNG in some places. So you have to play perfectly for hours only to see if you can get lucky on those later missions
I just checked and I swear years ago when I looked at Halo 5's achievements, I read one that read complete the entire campaign on Legendary difficulty with 4 players and no one dying. This video reminded me of that but I just checked Halo 5''s achievos and nope there isn't one, so this must be like one of those Mandela effect situations where I remember it and no one else does.
I tried halo 2 on just legendary when i was younger, got thru the first level but once i had to deal with jackal snipers onetapping me within half a second of seeing me on outskirts i gave up. I didnt think it could get any harder. Boy was i wrong

In metropolis, the trick is to get a banshee through the tunnel. You have to break the wing tips off and then survive through to the end of the tunnel with it. Then at the exit you have to board the banshee at the exact moment the checkpoint loads. If you get it through successfully, there's an Easter egg on one of the tallest buildings that let's you use the scarab gun.

Why is the challenge impossible? Well as someone whos beaten legendary H2 i can say this. The game cheats. Jackals have aim bot. You die as soon as a light breeze hits you. Shields are a fucking myth.
Now take that. And add all the skulls on.

yea exactly, that's what people who aren't familiar with Halo 2 don't understand, they think that the problem is runners aren't fast enough or skilled enough in aiming or movement and that's the reason everyone is losing, it's not. It doesn't matter if you're an actual aimbot and have superhuman reaction and keyboard/controller mechanics because the game is quite literally provably unfair at this difficulty, it makes it so that it doesn't matter how fast you can kill enemies or move around the level, like most enemies in LASO can instakill you the moment they see you, so you actually need to glitch the game in a lot of spots to even have a chance of making it through lol
@@thekamotodragon yep. Hell i glitched the entire flood gondola ride because i managed to lunge into one of the pipes they spawn out of and i sat there for the entire ride. Honestly would have died a lot if i didnt do that.

When this challenge first came out, I first said "Damn, it would take a lot more than five grand to make it worth the grind."
Turns out I was right. $20k probably still isn't gonna end up being enough either though.

I always thought that the blind skull took away too much because in real life you wouldn't have a heads up display but you'd still be able to see your weapon you can actually do that in Metroid prime 2. In prime one your health bar stays. And I believe in both of them you can also change whether you can see your helmet or not.
I always thought getting rid of the weapon was tedious, I get it, but it would be less challenging if you could see where you’re gonna shoot, also muh immersion

Campaign is cool but I grew up playing all of them countless times and now simply prefer to play Ranked over anything else. I love Halo. Thank you to whoever brought Halo to PC, allowed for mouse and keyboard support and please try to balance mnk vs controller better. Controller is way too dominant

Not so long ago probably a month ago I played halo 2 mcc on legendary and MY god the word torture is described perfect with this game.
Cairo station was like Vietnam but much traumatizing.
Next level "Mombasa" was HELL , the jackal snipers are the worst enemy's you would be with in a tight city with balcony etc.
But put it simply , if you value your sanity and psychological health: DONT DO IT !!!

LASO was coined during Halo 3: ODST, which came out in 2009, where Reach came out in 2010.
If you don't believe me, there was literally an ACHIEVEMENT for the LASO in Halo 3 ODST, proposed by BUNGIE so every player had a chance to earn Recon armor for Halo 3.
So no offense, but that bit goes further back than Reach.
LASO started in regular halo 3 not halo ODST… also I’m pretty sure ODST came out 2 years before Halo Reach… Wikipedia Is kind of wonky sometimes I mean anyone can change the numbers and information of any given page…
It was original halo 3 that had the laso and the Recon armor was made available for halo 3 and unfortunately only a few people had the flaming recon helmet…

This challenge requires Luck on par with John.
There are some later runs that feel like your survival is more like RNG in some places.
So you have to play perfectly for hours only to see if you can get lucky on those later missions
I just checked and I swear years ago when I looked at Halo 5's achievements, I read one that read complete the entire campaign on Legendary difficulty with 4 players and no one dying. This video reminded me of that but I just checked Halo 5''s achievos and nope there isn't one, so this must be like one of those Mandela effect situations where I remember it and no one else does.
