As you would be aware, one of the limitations and frustrations I have had with my Ninebot Max is the speed limited to 25 km/h Approx 15 mph… I disliked this feature the MOST. Well, in today’s video, I have the easiest and quickest Hack to turn your Ninebot Max up to 30km/h 18.6 mph. The Ninebot Max is a fantastic allrounder, this speed hack makes it an all time great Scooter, commuter!

One thing I will add is that tire pressure is key. A lot of people don't realize you need to stay on top of this, and this makes a massive difference in performance.

I can get it to work on a friend of Mines Xiaomi 365 Pro. But not my Ninebot Max. Will keep trying.

Hey there Johnny. Hope you’re doing well over in Sweden. The G30 should have cruise control. I believe u can control the time delay within the app itself.

Will this work on the new Max g2 scooter? And if it does and I use an android tablet to unlock it can I then use my iPhone from then on? Great video mate
Hello i purchased my ninebot scooter from a local pawn shop. When i connect it to the app it says it’s bind with a previous owner. Do you have any recommendations on how I can unbind it or reset it to where I can be the owner?

Hey there Brian. Thanks for reaching out. You can set it to the boost option which I believe is a new option in the app and is at the bottom of the list. Try that and let me know how yo go. Feel free to reach out via email.
So I have the E22E. I download the app I did all the spets and the scooter ride more than 20kph. Then I try to establish the manufacturer settings and all good. But I noticed my SE changed and my app features changed too. Now I am stuck and quite worried because I don't know what I have to do. Can someone help me please?

Just wondering what generation motor you have? As the gen 1 ( first serial number is 6Z) motor throttles down after 80% battery without using the hack. Just wondering if yours is a Gen 1 (6Z) or a Gen 2 (9J), the serial number is located on the rear motor. Thanks a lot

What’s the long jeopardy like with the 30kmph in the long run? It seems it needs to be up to 100% battery or it’ll go down to 27-28 speed
Hey there Jaime. As the batteries begin to drain it will lose lower and slow down. How we it will do this no matter what.
The longevity of it is fine. I did this hack quiet a while ago and still have Great success with it.

Hey Jaimee. No problem. In the app if you go again there should be an option for another boost. I can’t remember the exact terminology, however I only used it for a friend of mine who had the same issue. It worked for him and he is now getting the 30km/h. So instead of selecting the US 30km/h boost, try the bottom speed boost option. This is only new since I did that video. I’ll have to do another one to refresh 😀

Haydes Graham Hey there Hayden. I have never experienced the problem that you’re speaking of. I am a larger guy as well, but this hasn’t worried me at all. You’re seriously going to love it... I loved mine so much we bought a second one for the my wife. The kids love it as well.
As a owner with a hacked max the ride isn't as bad as made out don't get me wrong you will shake your brain about your skull on a gravel road but most average roads it's quite comfortable. If you have slight bend in your knees you can make your self into natural suspension
Hi man! I have a question, do you have the first or second gen motor? And is 30 km an hour the maximum you can hack it to or did you also try to make it go 33 km an hour or over that?

No, I haven’t heard of that helmet, I’m going to have to look into that one :) - I have to travel for work most weeks and I make sure I take my scooter with me, just in case I have some spare time to have a bit of a ride :) - Stay safe over there in the Netherlands... I am lucky where I live. COVID isn’t giving us too much grief :)
By changing the speed on the scooter does that drain the battery faster? Cuz I know the main top speed is 18.6 and lasts 40 miles on a full charge

This doesn't change any of the firmware or allow bugs viruses to be installed it just changes the region settings .
So when u change region u don't have to flash zip file? So basically all u have to do is connect scooter than change region to us 30km and technically should work?

One question to you. If i hack my ninebot maxg30 is there any options to optimize the range? I want to have optim range.other words i like to have the best range to go farthest. If the topspeed drop a bit thats ok because i think the range is more important to me. Thanks for the answer
Hey there JH. I don’t believe that there is a way to optimise the range using this hack. There maybe a way utilising a different hack tool which will change the power output, however, still give you the top speed. I haven’t been successful using this hack yet.
My scooter is not working because of this it is stuck in “limited to 20 smth” and my light wont turn off when the scooter is on the scooter itself wont accelerate even if its on the speed numbers just keep blinking. Is there a way to reset all of this?
Hey mate do you have the first gen or second gen motor? The first gen will start with a 6 on the serial number on the back wheel, & the second gen will start with a 9...
Hey there Adam, I have a first Gen Serial Number Starts with a 6 on both my machines.
@@TheWannabeGeek I’m assuming all us Aussies got the first gen, we always get the bottom of the barrel here..lol.. Apparently the first gen motors have a bit better torque, but the 2nd gen have a bit better top speed, & the speed doesn’t decrease until the battery is down to about 20% unlike the first gen...

Hi looks like a great advantage. Still, its not working with me :( The app connects, and I'm able to.change to us30. But it wont ride 30.. and everytime a put my phone on screenlock it seems to disconnect with bluetooth.. I think the original app has to stay off? Help
Fellow Aussie here, so if I unlock it to 30km (By changing the region), I can still use the Segway app as usually without any issues?

Great Vid. I’m located in the UK and about to spend the cash on one of these machines. Given the choice which option is best to buy Gen1 or 2? Surely more torque is more desirable?

Hello, l download the app but it's not allowing me to change the region of the scooter. I'm selecting US region but after watching the advert the scooter is blips 3 times and keep shows DE which is 20kmh. Would you be able to help me please.

How do you put your max back to stock if you reflashed it. Is there a factory reset
Hey there John. U can revert back to the settings that you had via that app, this won't flash your stock settings, it just changes the region settings.
Please be AWARE! BE happy with the 30kph if you have a 2022 production model. I changed the region, but wanted more acceleration. So I downloaded scooter Hacking utility as well. The app recommended a software downgrade. Unfortunately I tried to downgrade the new controller. My scooter was bricked immediately. Be happy with the 30kph, dont downgrade the software!
Hi Von Steen. Sorry to hear this happens for you. I also have the 2022 version, however have not had this issue.
@@TheWannabeGeek Then you are extremely lucky. All the new Controllers will instantly be bricked if you attempt a downgrade. The only way to know if you have the new version is to open the scooter up. The new controller looks totally different to the older version.

bricked? i have MAX G30E II and when i changed region aka serial with xiao flasher it froze my scooter and couldnt log into the main app but when i used the xiao flash to change it back to my own serial it started working normally and the app works...so new g30 cannot be hacked

Thanks for watching and reaching out Brodie. There should be a new setting on the app down the bottom of the list called boost. Try that setting instead. Hope this helps.
Thanks for this video. Eventhough this seems not to effect warrenty, I am not sure if this android software can change the serial also to original one when you revert the changes. Because when you open the speed limit it changes the serial. That time the serial on the scooter and at the original software does not match. And one more info related with that. For example you did 1000 km with original setup. Then remove the speed limit. At that time you have the reconnect scooter with the original app again and you see that now it seems a new scooter and all kms done before was deleted.
Hey there Met. On this particular hack this will not change any of the serial or firmware settings.
All it does is open it up to the global settings. Places like Europe and Australia limit the speed to 25km/h this allows these locations to bypass.

Hey there Mike. Being the the USA, your Ninebot may already be set up to do 18mph. However if it isn't, this will work. I am trying out another hack at the moment though. This will give you a bit extra 😊

Iv got a Es3 what i have got on a good price afew monts ago and his normal speed in sport mode (Red S) is 30km/h minus plus 1 depend of battery and outside temperature.

Hey there. The scooters are limited for various geographic regions due to local laws and legislation. 😊
It's law. In German we have limit 20km/h. Because of es4 i need to pay now 800 euro...

Can this be hacked to make it usuable without stepping? Meaning that you dont have to step the first meters to go riding?
Hey there James. Yes, there is a Hack to allow you to take off from 0mph of km/h. However, that is a different process. I have tried various different types of hacks and my firmware has not allowed me to do it yet.

Thanks heaps Plex. Still working on the next video at the moment. You’re right about the speed reduction after it drops below 70%. The next hack should fix this though. There are a few power output changes to make which u have to be careful with. But hopefully will have the setting right.

I just followed these instructions and my Max says it’s in US Region with 30kph but I still can’t get more than 25kph like it’s still in Worldwide Region. I gave a donation too. Any ideas?

Hey there Tim. Mine got to the 32 without anyone riding it. When I am actually riding the scooter it only goes 30.

@@tibbysun hey there Tim. Sorry to hear that. It seems more like a power output issue vs a top speed. I am looking at another type of hack. I don't believe that this is a serial number issue though.
Yes, that is what I think to. Maybe my unit is underpowered.

Hey there Colin. Not at all. Once you have done the hack it remains the same. Unless you select one of the revert options for Germany.

Very interesting, my question is: After the hack you can't get official firmware anymore, right?
Hey there Alessio. This Hack won't affect your official firmware. This just opens up the regional settings to allow the full maximum speed via the regional settings. There is a further hack that can be done, and it may affect the firmware, as it makes changes to motor power out-puts etc.

@@TheWannabeGeek I tried it today, I think the battery lowering faster than before, but it's quite obvious. With full charge I reach 30km/h. It's not bad without change firmware and the battery pack. I'll try this for the next weeks, probably I'll keep it like this. Thanks again.

Mine it was set in miles how only hit 12 mph and i tried the app but didn't work

Hey Syamond. That is strange. Try setting it back to the original setting and doing it again.
say you have an iPhone but use the android to hack it do you need to bring the android whenever you use the scooter
Great question Rico. However, you don’t need the android after you have hacked it. The hack holds and will remain until you change it via the android app.
Cool feature bro! Is the battery affected by the hack?
This will cause battery to drain faster simply because you are using more power. Long term, this definitely COULD shorten the life of your battery.

also its beeping with bluetooth flashing, just turned it on for the first time, but it wont stop unless i pwr down

The app doesn't work dear... I don't know what is the problem, the app can see the scooter however when I get inside it doesn't recognise the scooter and got disconnected.

Hey, I've really enjoyed watching your video. It was funny, and I really hoped this would work. But unfortunately it didn't work on mine. It flashes the region just fine, but the speed stayed at 25 km/h. The strange thing is that the German 20 km/h region flash worked just perfect, the Max G30 was limited to 20 km/h indeed. But on the US region the speed was still the same as the worldwide region (25 km/h). I flashed it multiple times, going from one region to another and back. And I rebooted the scooter multiple times also. Still no difference. It's too bad it doesn't work because in your video it seemed so simple. The only thing I can think of is charging my battery to a 100% and try again. Maybe that will change it, otherwise I'm out of options. Thanks for sharing anyway. It seemed that it worked on some scooters (based on some comments here)

@@TheWannabeGeekI've tried the last option in the XiaoFlasher app which solved the problem for me eventually. It's a region flash for scooters that were unable to reach 30 km/h on a full charge.
I have a ninebot g30 max and changing the region to US and reconnecting the scooter still not letting me go over 25km/h.

Yeah, i did that, i will give a try tomorrow again. I will charge the battery to 100% but today when i was trying, battery was on about 70%
