32Km/h - How to unlock the Segway Ninebot G65 Max 2 speed

1. Run Ninebot IAP
2. In BLE tab, click Start Scan
3. Click Stop Scan when scooter appears in device list
4. Select your scooter and click Connect.
5. Press the power button on your scooter to pair it when asked.
6. Click Read in Tools tab to display the scooter's current serial number.
7. Click Change SN in Tools tab to change it to the new serial number.
Your current factory serial number should be something like N4GWA2239C1234
All you need to do is change the 4th letter from W to S and set that as the new serial number.

Thanks bro , I did all your steps works well , when I changed my serial it didn’t show it had changed , it still had same serial , but when I tested the scooter it has changed the speed , thanks love this 👍
Sometimes you have to press read again, but also make sure when you first connect you also press power button to confirm connection

Hi Pat…hope you’re well. Very many thanks for your video. I love the new Max G2, but live in the UK. Do you happen to know whether this same process can be used to remove the speed restriction and take it to 35kph?
You can give it a try, it might not work, but it shouldn’t damage your scooter

My scooter is messed up isntead of going faster it is going slower
and it doesn't allow me to change my serial number back to the original serial number
and i cannot do a hard reset like it shows in other videos

Sir, I did your process and now my scooter stayed the same speed. I have the F30 does that make a difference. At first, I thought it wiped it clean and didn’t work, but it does. Just no speed change
I'm from EU Italy and the serial number is different.
Have I to wait for a new and more stable firmware?

Seems like you're in Perth? I'm the one that started the legislative petition to increase the weight limit and remove speed capability limit, but for now I think just commuting on a G2 is the safest bet.
How do you like yours?

Hi Pat, I did that, but now I can't connect to the scooter, because there's is already someone connected to this serial number. And since now I lost control of it, cannot reverse it and connect it again to the iap. How can I reverse this?
quick question, how long is Motor Start Speed in this scooter? did you set it to anything different besides the default
when starting scooter going to 28,27 like this, then limiting 22 within 3 sec. my scooter i tried to boost to US 30kmph. for that i changed P to S in my serial number. but serial auto gives E . now region changed to German 22kmph.

When I connect to mine it doesn't ask me to push the power button to pair, it says it's connected, but never the firmware version or anything under it. Any clue why that is?

Thanks I did it and it works. Now it goes 32 Km/h. There seems to be a little hesitation going around 26 to 30 Km/h, kind of feels the throttle isn’t smooth at this speed, a little jerky. But at 32 Km/h it’s smooth.
Also, in the Segway app on my iPhone, I now have 2 Ninebots appearing. A G65 and a G30. (I only have 1 scoot being the G65). So my Segway app now shows I’m connected Blutooth to a G30. The G65 is showing in the app, but I’m not connected to it anymore. I guess being connected to the "G30" is why I can now go 32Km/h……. Funny though, to go and turn on/off the cruse control feature, I have to re-lock my scoot back to 25Km/h, and this gives me the cruise control option, then I un-lock back to 32Km/h and even thought the cruse control option no longer shows up in the Segway app, it’s still working.
This happened to me as well. After changing serial my iPhone now only connects to a “G30” even though I only own the G65. When you change your serial back to factory does your iPhone app connect to the G65?
Even though I can get 32kmh as the “G30”, cruise control doesn’t appear to work as consistently. Sometimes I’ll hold the accelerator down for a full minute or two before it beeps to keep the throttle on auto.
Plus when I connect as the “G30” it says there is a firmware update but when it tries to update it just says there’s an error and firmware update fails. Wondering whether all these gremlins are worth the extra speed or if I just put it back to stock 25kmh speed but retain access to my G65 in the app and get proper firmware updates.
@@fordy83 mine is same. Cruise control does work, but sometimes seems to take a bit of time for it to work. If I re-lock it, it does reconnect back to the G65. I also get that prompt for a firmware upgrade on the “G30” but it won’t upgrade.
@@azz1azz Cheers. I might re-lock it and see if registering it as USA unlocks 32kmh without all the bugs, as another comment here suggests. I don’t have a Windows PC so not as easy for me to trial and error this, I had to borrow my mate’s PC so will give it a go next time I see him.
@@fordy83 please let me know what happens if you register it as USA. I do have an old windows PC. Might have to also see if I can register mine as USA.
Do you know how to reset the settings, so you can do the initial set up of the scooter again ?

I got 55km/h using a G30 Controller hacked with a G30Dragster firmware. I'm sure that g65 controller won't accept this firmware. Any tips to do so?

Hello. How are you. I recently bought a used segway ninebot g30 max. But the previous owner had moved to the phillipines. So now I have no way of contacting him. I'm was wondering if you knew how I can factory reset the scooter to where it will erase the previous owners account. I've been trying to figure out how to and I even talked to segway. But they said that they are unable to help me because I don't have proof of purchase. I have heart failure with 10 percent heart function with a blood clot in my heart. I purchased this scooter so that I can get to my cardiologist appointments that I've already been missing. So if there's any information on how to get it unblinded or if you knew anyone else. Please let me know. I really appreciate you taking the time to read this and hopefully respond. Thank you and stay safe.

Great tutorial and worked well on my G65. I’m thinking of getting a Ninebot P100SE eventually. Can you do the same thing (same program etc) to unlock it to 48kph?
I would need to aquire that scooter, which maybe a bit hard...

Very informative and easy to apply. Did mine today and it worked exactly as mentioned in the video. Is there any hack to turn on zero start in this scooter? So we dont have to get it to 3kmph to power up?

is this possible if you have recently updated your firmware and the speed went from 25kmh to 20kmh after the update? im from Europe. serial nr start with N4GPD.
I have the same serial N4GPD Europe. After the flash the drive mode go 20km/h to 25km/h but the sport mode don't change

So my Ninebot Max does 30-32kph max on flat ground (Scooterhack unlocked), it's a 350W motor.
I believe the Ninebot G65 Max has a 500W motor, if so it surprises me that the max speed attainable is also 32kph.
Is there a reason why it can't go faster than the very similar Ninebot Max, with that extra 150W of power?

Yep, i dont see any issues, you are not modifiing the firmware just changing a setting

Does the serial number on the rear motor start with a 6 or 9? Keen to know if it’s the gen2 motor for AU models
I don't know about any of that jazz, but the G65's nominal power is slightly more beefed up at 450W, compared to the G30's 350W, if that's of any interest to you =P ✌
Can pretty much 100% confirm they’re using Gen 2 motors for this model. Have seen a few and they’re all Gen 2.

Im not sure, sorry, best to reset and try again... Again it depends on your starting region.

After serial number change Segway-Ninebot app on iOS recognises G65E scooter (Max 2) as G30 (Max 1) and suggests to upgrade firmware to v1.8.7.
Everything else works correctly.

I was unable to get the cruise control firmware update on either Android or iOS (iPAd mini - I don't have an iPhone)....
iPad should work fine, but android doesnt have it yet, wierdly enough, so maybe iPad might not... can you try iPhone with a friend?
@@TechManPat Tried my dauther's iPhone (she works for Apple) and same deal there - firmware 1.5.12... Android : 1.5.12, iPadOS : 1.5.12, iOS on iPhone (12 or 13) : 1.5.12... I should hit up JB-HiFi as they're talking that feature up as a selling point (and touted for December 2022!!!). I just fixed my G30 yesterday and it's got cruise control and I miss that feature so much!
Tried your IAP change serial number - tested it... Got 32 km/h but I panicked when 3 times I tried to reset it back to original Serial # and it wasn't working... Finally got there... Phew... But DEFO want cruise control... I'll be commuting 15 km each way at least once a week and really really miss cruise control...

By getting a more powerful scooter. Sorry, it's the only way. They are limited by their motor wattage and battery pack.

No, the this is an artificial limit, so the rating is based on the USA specs.
@@TechManPat Agree. This fix doesn't increase the power, just removes a limiter. My scooter after this tip doesn't accelerate or go up hills any better, but it's quicker on the flat.
