I don't understand LAX. They make so many superjumbo A380's take off from the shorter north side runway 24L which isn't even 10000 feet. Doesn't leave much room to spare. This one must have been a pretty close call to the end of the runway; looks like it rolled quite long.
ecoRfan it's because any other way would be inconvenient for incoming flight patterns or they would be taking off over residential areas and have to do crazy noise abaitment manuvers like you see from JFK which is fine but wastes allot more gas especially on a long haul 380

the noise doesnt bother me at all. i hear every A380 coming in but not leaving.
