Thanks 😊
I want this captain to fly me to my next destination. Totally focused on his work and in complete control of his profession, mesmerizing to watch. Respect due.
...and in English too!
I agree. Great pilot.
English is the language of international aviation so they have to be able to speak it perfectly...... which this very experienced Captain does. Top work fella!!
We paid whole runway, we use whole runway 😂
😀😀
Un BEL EXAMPLE du FRANGLAIS...dans le JARGON de l'aviation... JAI 'ADORÉ..
I have had the privilege / luck to fly in the A380 in First class, Business class and Economy class, mostly with Emirates, I can honestly say the A380 is magical, no matter what class you fly in. As per Concorde we produce the best in the world working together (UK/ Europe) It's such a pity the world is so fu(ked up at the moment not enabling these beauties to fly. I miss travelling.
Such a amazing video incredible channel thanku so much love and God bless x
Thanks very much Wendy.
@@justplanes so welcome x
Cannot wait to see the videos and God bless everyone 🙏😇😊
Enjoy.
My favorite word in the English language is "airborne". I did have a chance to fly A380 in the recent past between Singapore and Europe. The aircraft was named "New York", the city I love. The service was superb and the flight was as smooth as cutting butter during a picnic on a warm summer day. I loved every second of the flight. (After we landed in Europe the captain told us that he added extra 20 minutes to the flight and apologized for it because it caused a short delay. The extra time was to avoid weather storms that were on the standard path). I wanted to be a pilot as a young man - could not do it - but my job has been in scientific research. That allowed me to travel a lot and cross the globe many times. The magic of flying will never cease to amaze me. But taking "the [BIG] bird up" in a take-off, "decollage", is a thrill that for me cannot be compared to anything else, I know of.
That’s great you got to fly the A380. Harder to do right now.
That’s awesome you are a pilot 🧑✈️?
@@JAYSTAR354 He meant fly on as a Passenger. I had to re read it myself
I have literally just come across this channel and this video was amazing.
Definitely Subscribed.

Un poema el despegue !!!!!!
👍
Cannot wait to see the videos of a380.... waiting
Hope you enjoyed
Yes....my favorite airplane A380! You surprise me JP;)) See you soon.....X Betsy.....
Yeah see you soon
👍👍
If I am not mistaken, they used the longest of the two northern runways ( 9R) which is almost 14,000 ft long
The truth is at CDG ATC have you enter the runway at a taxiway intersection which is 2000 or 3000 ft from the beginning of the runway to save fuel during taxi, so they're not really using the entire runway!!
Such loud under carriage or front wheel , don’t the have spare shocks? Thanks great video!
When was that filmed / shot ?
Very nice 👌air France 🇨🇵
Love it!! 🇵🇭
Cool James
@@justplanes Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Hope you cover cebu pacific and ph airlines again 😃
A job perfectly done, he's obviously a top top quality pilot...... and it's a beautiful aircraft.
Glad you enjoyed the video
@@justplanes I did indeed.
This video is from a while ago but still great to see again. Wondering how this captain is doing during this covid crisis. Many airlines reduced flying around with Airbus 380's.
He probably retired.
You'd think they'd build the airport closer to the runways. Sure was a lot of driving around. (LOL). One good looking pilot!
Which A-380 is it ? F-HPJA, JB, ..., JJ ?
Greetings from Germany
Hello Marcel
I never knew A380s have HUDs
The expansion joints on the taxiway and runway are terrible. I am glad that the major highways in New York and across the country of the United States don't have expansion strips that rough.
Except you are wrong. The noise is coming from the wheels rolling across the centre lights.
Looming very nice.
I still need to fly in an a380 someday
How old is this video? @ 6m 32s you can spot an A320 of the defunct Italian airline Air One, IATA=AP, taxiing along side the AF A380. Air One, was taken over by Alitalia and ceased all operations on October 30th, 2014. Its fleet was taken over by Alitalia as well. So, the question is: are there some birds of the former Air One still flying in its livery with some airlines or is this video pretty old (actually about 7 years)?
This is quality time....to watch this pilots with charisma....!! And yes...the Queen of the sky! Everything is right....love this! Many thanks JP;)) Enjoy your weekend....greetings X Betsy.......
Glad you enjoyed it Betsy. Have a lovely weekend
@@justplanes ....Thanks JP;)) X Betsy.....
Love to see that there are eyes outside all the time. in VFR conditions. Good procedure. Thanks for the taxi on two; saves carbon and fuel. Nice departure.
a decent length of time between V1 and Rotate to test the nerves!
Agreed, we normally hear V1 then almost immediately rotate...as you say a test of nerves.:)
I actually counted the seconds. 😊😊😊
It'd like that with the a380.
Interesting !
Cool
@@justplanes no worries !
If you check the video more closely you will find they actually did not used the full length. The start the roll out from D or even E instead of A or B points. So not full length at all!
Ok this Captain! Have Seen him before! LyCapt!!!!!
👍
Interesting to hear another Air France pilot on the ground frequency sounds native English. Wonder if this is common?
When communicating in air traffic I believe the entire world uses English, I believe it's a standard. Could be wrong
@@XvSKINNYvX it depends. Two natives will mostly speak their language with each other, as you can here in this video
Never new a380 had heads up displays thought it was just 787
It can be retrofitted to other aircraft. The A330 and A350 can have it
Depends on the airline.
and A350s as well
About 21 seconds from throttle up to rotate. That is normal for large airliñers.
I counted 45 seconds...but still not abnormal for a heavy/super heavy near MTOW.
This aircraft used nowhere near the entire runway. If you pay attention to the runway markings, they turn onto the runway about 2,500 feet from the end of the runway. There is also approximately 2,000 feet beyond the displaced threshold at the departure end. 4,500 feet of runway they didn't use
👍👍👍
👍👍👍
19 miles up in the sky. Wow that's high.
What time do they start engines 2 and 3?
Has to be done a minimum of 5 minutes before takeoff... they did it about 6 minutes

hello to the employee of just plane I think Ur operating now
Hello Elena
Nice
My aerosoft airbus is very u stable.
👍
Great take off! There is nothing as useless as the runway behind you!
Haha true
Dang, that was close
Not really. I was expecting them to reach a lot closer
Not a lot left specially at the speed they were going.
Did not use entire runway!!! - entered runway from taxiway D4 which is 750 meters from the threshold of rwy 09R - thus used about 2.6 KM of runway to take off.
"How long the runway we build, how long rumway we use." -swis001
nice one! congrats
Thanks for the visit
Greetings everyone. My ♥️has wings. Enjoy Too much
I noticed on the takeoff roll the tires on the main landing gear had flat spots. Were those tires due for a change??? It's a wonder the pilot didn't have a blowout!!!!
You saw the tire inflation?
@@justplanes No, my comment is about the sound the tires made as the plane rolled down the runway. Unless the runway has certain characteristics causing that vibration then I stand corrected!!!!
Its the nose tyre hitting the runway centreline lights
@@liamdelaney1983 OK, that's a lot of weight hitting those center line lights!!!
@@liamdelaney1983 Ah, ok. It sounded like when my old fridge starts running ;)
I believe that there has been a constant debate in the aviation industry between the hold and go and the turn and go philosophy especially with large aircraft. I have always heard that hold and go is the safer method as it allows the engines to spool up to their maximum before starting the roll. I noticed that this 380 did a turn and go. Wondering if that may have been the reason the entire 14,000 foot runway was used? Just saying.
They didn’t use the entire runway though, they turned in early to save taxi time and by that didn’t use the first 750 meters of the runway
Think he would've been hard-pressed to pull off a successful RTO at a V1 cut. But, maybe it's just the video.
10:40. Never realised that the 380 was steam-powered !
It's à typo. They wrote ”runway” when It's actually ”railway”
are they supposed to run over ever light buried in the tarmac with the center tires? as a passenger, it's uncomfortable
Did they not calculate the weight correctly?
The truth is at CDG ATC have you enter the runway at a taxiway intersection which is 2000 or 3000 ft from the beginning of the runway to save fuel during taxi, so they're not really using the entire runway!!
damn, they must have been real heavy to use the whole runway
Yes they were
They didn't use full length and went from D4 intersection. In relation to 09L next to it the take-off run was about 2800m. That's derated thrust too.
@@liamdelaney1983 so then, instead of using flex takeoff, they decided to use TOGA for takeoff?
No mate they used flex. Listen to when they increase throttle he says man flex srs 43 i think it was
518 tons the Captain said
Watch a C5 M do this with less runway and 15 degree nose up at full throttle . ✨✨✨✨ Now That Will Get Your Cialis Working . 🤓
👍
Is that safe?
Apparently yes
They retires a380s
Well, they don't call the A380 "the Whale" for no reason. ;)
Yes
5
what is the chit chat about 'Flex' all about ?
Flex is a reduced power takeoff... saves the life of the engine, reduces maintenance cost... and when the weight of the aircraft/length of the runway/temperature etc allows for it they do use Flex
что у вас стучит?
👍
10:30 ça date ça se voit
Q: Why did the Airbus A380 took the whole runway?
A: Only engines 1 and 4 were on.
They did switch on the rest of the engines before takeoff. They use 2 engines for taxi and then switch on the rest of engines before takeoff
Wouldn’t go too far on 2 engines at that weight 😊
Right
@@ghostcustoms9224 hmmm in this video, i never seen the pilots turning on engine 2 and 3 for takeoff
@@algodoomarbleracing it’s called editing
Why do Airbus aircraft sound like POS when taking off?
There's a tale:Russians pay for whole runway they will use the whole runway..........(takeoff) but....even though CDG provide a good length of runway for a380.....these FRENCH pilots wanna showcase the RUSSIANs skills...........ama waiting!! for this mighty airbus to get off paris 👍✈👌
Interesting. Thanks
French and Engilsh transmissions. Doubles the traffic on already congested freqs. Assinine!
This plane is too heavy
Thought ATC was supposed to speak English with all airlines?!
No but they have to be able to speak English. It’s much easier for a non English native person to communicate in their native language with the ATC as the conversation is faster and don’t hog up the radio trying to remember what certain words are in english. Yes I know that can be a cause for issues but the ICAO allowed certain languages
A few other languages are also being used around the world such as French and Spanish
@@tomstravels520 Speaking multiple languages on the same frequency surely reduces flight crew situational awareness monitoring the bigger picture?
@@anthonyglee1710 yeah and I don’t agree with it either but I’m not head of ICAO. I would have thought they have to use English if there is an emergency of some kind but not sure
No. You can talk Chinese, arabic ,russian, spanish, french ,and english.
I don't like the captain is too strict
Yes, you paid for the whole thing. Why waste it. 👍👍
haha right!
It is so unfortunate that these magnificent aircraft (A380) are no longer in production. Their charismatic presence will be sorely missed by all who love majesty in flight.
Finally some Gentlemen pilots. *Real* pilots.
They do not wear make up or have pretty hair and fake eye lashes, but still they fly the plane very well. Make up does not fly the plane.
@@JohnSmith-uy7sv Remarkable iron creases also 😊
@@JohnSmith-uy7sv Agreed. Those "pilots" obviously had their flight training paid for by someone else and are fishing for compliments.
@@SPXNO I noticed that as well.
@@sardonic_smile_8752 Say what? that is all done through this channel, "just planes" they have no control of who they video for youtube.
Captain sounds like Walter Lewin .
I’m disappointed I watched this whole video and didn’t learn anything about Newtonian mechanics.
Glad you enjoyed the non-newtonian video ;)👍
I find it amazingly uncharming that French pilots still speak French at international French airports instead of keeping to the working language of aerospace to maintain safety. The arrogance of French people is amazing!
Same happens with different languages in different countries.
@@justplanes I think he's crazy! We French, like many other countries, speak our language at airports. always finding pretexts to belittle the French, let's not forget that France is a major pillar in the creation of aeronautics. Thank you for your videos plus they are amazing
@@triiky6195 Well ... I didn't want to insult anyone. Sorry for that. My point was to maintain overview of the airspace and airport area. I'm by the way also a pilot.
@@blameyourself4489 Hello, I admit that I got a little carried away but why bother with France all the time? we French are fed up with being criticized all the time. Parisian air traffic is very well managed, when there is an important message to warn other planes, French pilots and air traffic controllers speak in English. have a nice day
@@triiky6195 You too have a nice day 😃
By the way, I actually love France! Still working on that grammar. Difficile!
Like a Russian aircraft...
I am sure its meant to me TAKE OFF, Lift Off is for ROCKETS...LOL
What a miserable pair.😕
English plz don’t speak other then that for airports & air traffic. It s not right
Ok 😊
You can talk several langages such as arabic and russian. And you have the french in the list so no problem
