There’s nobody else that I wanted more on the shelf with Mando than IG-11! Such a memorable character in season 1.

It was great to see the little cameo of the statue they built in season 2 for em as well!

Great looking figure! 👍🏽 ordered this guy when I first saw it. Happy to see there is die cast in it. The self destruct “L E D” lighting effort is awesome! Wish the base was different but I guess he’s following in Mando’s footsteps lol 🤷🏽♂️🤣 Thanks for delivering another gem of a video !

The best review of IG-11 from Hot Toys Ive seen - extremely well done!!! Especially love the comparison to SideShows IG-88, thats the extra special goodness that elevates such reviews to awesomeness!!! I only collect 1/12 Scale, a mix of Hasbro’s Black Series, SH Figuarts, Bandai Models, Mafex and even the odd Revoltech. Hasbro’s IG-11(and 88) arent even worth mentioning, while Figuarts IG-11 is a stunning work of art- it easily could be this Hot Toys IG-11s little brother! But comparing my figure to yours, I realized an intriguing design oddity where the lower legs appear backward on one of our figures! Since the knees only bend in one direction, its easy to spit the tubes on the outer “calves” are frontward on yours and on the back of mine. I prefer seeking them on the front, so now I wonder which company got the design right…if a robot that can twist at the waist and walk as easily either direction truly has a “front” or “back”. So I’m off to find the blueprints you speak of comparing IG-11 to 88…again, amazing review!!!!

I need him so bad the bomb is great wasn't sure if they were going to make that. I always wanted to see more of IG-88 and when he showed up in The Mandalorian, my eyes popped out.

Awaiting mine to ship, Justin. I bought this figure not only because I’m a Star Wars fan but I also using this figure as a totem for Taika waititi’s organic companion to “What we do in Shadows” called, “Bounty Hunters life on the Hunt” starring IG-12, twin brother to IG-11.

Hi Justin. Love this video, I think they could have had a backpack with the IG-11 to put Grogu in. It was one of the nicest action scenes with him and Grogu. Weird they used that diorama with human shaped feet. He looks really strong and is a great statue.

Wonder if the "surprise" diecast was intentional or a happy accident. If they called it the TMS08 D35 maybe we would have complained there wasn't enough metal in the upper body, but instead our expectations were for none, so even some was a welcome treat
It's better that the metal is only in the legs. If there was metal in the torso, the figure would be too top heavy and difficult to balance on its spindly legs.

I think I might have to get this one! I passed on the Heavy Mando as I wasn’t too interested in his bulky design, and minimal articulation, but this one has me intrigued. I was wondering, will it fit in a regular detolf shelf?

For the price, I think he could've come with laser blasts that attach to the blasters like how you'd attach the lightsaber blades to the hilts. Would be cool to get the burst effect coming out of it with light up features. That would help sell the figure for me.

Just got mine he's perfect the LEDs are bright unlike some Hot Toys that are far too dim but I wish his eyes moved up and down he's too tall to put in my Ikea Milsbo cabinet with his base but he's steady on his feet.

Good review. The footprints are a pretty sneaky thing to try to get away, really annoying at this price point. Surprised the head doesn't articulate forward and back like the SHF, that sort of simulates an ab crunch. Also wondering if this articulation pull off the behind the back shot he does in the show.

All of a sudden this guy has gone from being one of the rejects of 2021 to one of the most sought after. Surely this has to be one of the great surprises Hot Toys has ever pulled for a 1:6 figure. I pre-ordered IG-11 late last year betting on it being better than what the pundits were saying. After watching your video I feel vindicated with my decision. I cannot wait until he arrives down here in Australia.

EXACTLY. Lol I was told multiple times online to curve my expectations on this guy and that he was an “easy pass”. But NOPE! No way they were gonna mess up this badass droid! :D

The more reviews I see of this figure the more I'm impressed. This is hot toys at their best minus the reuse of that base. It also goes to show the lack of attention to quality of Sideshow in their figures. They need to put more effort to control and define tighter tolerances to prevent loose joints plaguing all their figs

Better late than never but I finally pulled the trigger on this figure using reward points and the Star Wars Celebration discount from SSC, I was able to get this figure below $200 😁

I'm absolutely fine with his accessories but for the sake of the challenge, they could have included a tea pot or a big bog box and womp rat. Would've been much fun to recreate scenes from his "recovery".

Hey Justin, I’m currently thinking about building a bounty hunters display. Not sure whether to hunt down sideshows IG-88 or just pick up this guy as my representation for IG-88 even though he technically isn’t the same exact droid. Been sitting and debating for awhile now and for the life of me I can’t seem to figure out the right answer. Just wanted to see if I could get your thoughts. Love your content. Thanks!
This one is definitely a sturdier and higher quality figure. If the accuracy doesn’t bother you go for this

It's true to the character in the show, we didn't see him move his head back and forth. Djarin shouted "top" to warn him that there was an adversary above him on the pergoda in chapter 1.
So over priced. I know it's a new release but $615.95 AUD for an average figure with a useless stand and almost no accessories is just crazy. For that price I'd expect at least a Grogu in a baby-carrier or maybe detachable legs and a lava stand or something.
The retail price is not 615 aud. I’m assuming you got that price from toys wonderland, who tends to overprice the first batch figures. This figure is only around 250 US dollars which is around 310 aud.
