I'm...not sure who said the folding bit on the carbine was a bipod or where they got that from, but...no. It is in fact meant to be a stock and it's seen folded all the way back in several episodes of the Clone Wars. Why they made the Hot Toys model unable to do so I don't know, but it *is* a stock.
This man speaking facts. Look up the scene where Savage kills some Jedi and you’ll see the commander he kills wearing an Arf helmet is using the stock.

Same with the E11. It comes from the fact that the E11 is based on the real Sterling SMG, and that part physically is a folding stock

@@legodan1815 He is just a commander that’s doing his job, Fives literally had his pistol aimed at the guards ,which leaves Fox with no choice, plus it’s revealed that Palpatine gave Fox orders to kill Fives, so again, he had no choice and is just doing his job

The Coruscant Guard Used Electrostaffs That had a Yellow Glow. As apposed to the Magna guards, who’s had a purple glow.

@@slimshady4307 I believe it’s shown in the Arc where Ahsoka gets arrested for treason, though I’m not entirely sure because it’s been a while since I last watched it.
@@cyborg_ninja2595 welp i just decided to research it myself after i asked you. i found that yes it was shown in that arc. i didnt rewatch the whole episode. but from what i saw, they were blue and long but one sided. i just made a new comment on this video about 5 min ago

Fantastic review, thank you. Can't wait to get my two; hopefully in another month. Personally, I like the darker red. The lack of a headsculpt on the troopers doesn't bother me - I'll always have them wearing those awesome helmets anyway. Now we all need to wish for a Commander Fox to go with these figures.

I kind of get why they don’t include a non-helmeted sculpt. A lot of the Clones have distinguishing features (tattoos, hair styles, etc.). Probably makes more sense to just say these are just Troopers who don’t take off their helmets.

The dc-15 a is the medium sized rifle with the stand, the dc-15 Le is the heavy blaster, the dc-15 s is actually a sidearm handgun used by clone commandos, and the dc-17 is another blaster pistol used by higher up clones.
This is why I don’t like to mention the name of the blasters as people always say it’s something else. For the record this is where I get my info starwars.fandom.com/wiki/DC-15
The half droid popper is actually a thermal detonator that tou can place like a C-4. The full one is a droid popper or a thermal detonator that you throw

Honestly I'm loving the Hot Toys line of Clone Troopers. It really makes me hope that they make the 212th Attack Battalion trooper (maybe the paratrooper)!

They just revealed they are planning on releasing a B1 battledroid and B2 super battledroid, you can find the prototypes on youtube. Still no 212th reveal and im very upset!

The magna guard’s elector staff’s energy effect was colored purple, but literally any other time it’s yellow. ( with the exception of Hondo Ohnaka)

No the under part of the blaster is not suppose to be a bipod yes you can use it as such but the its meant to go all the way back to rest against the clone arm you see it on rare ocasion in the clone wars

3:56 That guy is totally wrong, it is in fact a stock. DC-15S (That weapons name in Starwars) is based on the Sterling Submachine gun, which has exact stock that can be foldable like that. Also there are some scenes that some clones used the stock in Clonewars, i don't remember which scenes exactly though.

An accessory that i think would be cool is if they add a magnetic blaster shot that you can magnet on the trooper. But now thinking about it it would be hard to make a thin magnet.

It’s a stock. It’s reminiscent to the old E-11 blasters used by Stormtroopers. Their base gun was a Sterling SMG that had a folding stock. I don’t think we ever see clones using the stock in the movies or shows.

It is a folding Stock on the DC15S, Commander Trauma is seen using it in the Clone Wars show. He's the only clone ever to use it as far as I know, but nonetheless he's using it.

I could say your memory serves you well with the staff! It was yellow for the republic, but it was purple or pink for the magna guards for the separatists

The yellow color for the electricity effect are correct for the clones. They can be seen in the 1st episode of the Obi Wan Bounty Hunter arc of The Clone Wars. Also, some of the magnaguards have yellow electricity coming from their staffs for some reason.

They probably didn’t do the head sculpts for clone because in the clone wars series each clone has their own haircut or face tattoos to make them unique.

The one issue with General Skywalker and an eventual General Kenobi is they only worse those costumes with Phase 1 clones. Might wait and see if Sideshow releases their clone wars versions of those characters.

Yo Justin, the long blaster is the DC 15A, the short one with the foldable stock is the DC 15S.

I wonder in what way these figures were deemed inaccurate to the films . Even if they’re from the clone wars , as the boxing clearly shows , they were fashioned with the look they have on the films…They’re 100% movie accurate

I found that the new released clones figures seem to be different from Cody，including 501st ，Coruscant guard，hunter and echo 。They all have larger openings in the sides of their armors（maybe hottoys wants to increase the movable range of the arms） and smaller helmets。I don't know if hottoys will update Cody later. For me who already have a Cody, these changes makes me feel that my figure is an outcast。

Hi Justin, great review as always! I haven’t commented much, but I absolutely love watching your videos. I have a question if you had to choose one between the two: A. The Mando Scout trooper if you have all the other mando troopers or B. This Coruscant Guard if I have a fair amount of sideshow clones and the deluxe 501st in bound any day now? I have to be very decisive in what I get now days because my wife would kill me if I got everything lol.

It’s a stock, not sure what that person was thinking. If you need proof in the Star Wars the clone wars TV show, commander trauma was seen briefly in the show with the DC 15A with the stock put back.

actually after some 10 minutes of research i found that two phase 2 shock troopers in season 5 episode 18 of the clone wars have electro staffs with blue lightning and with only one side of the staff lit. they escort anakin out of the area where they are holding ahsoka after he argues with fox. let me know where you guys found other instances of shock troopers holding electro staffs!! MTFBWY

I'd say the only thing Hot Toys is dropping the ball on with these clones is not including a Phase I helmet. I still think it was rather shiesty that only the deluxe 501st trooper did, when it also had the other exclusive Phase II helmet.

Definitely not a single point bipod, those don't exist lol it's 110% a stock, hot toys just sculpted it weird, probably an oversight. There's like 2 or 3 scenes in The Clone Wars where you see a clone utilizing the stock, it's a rare sight, but a true one. The most notable scene I remember is Commander Gree when they're fighting super battle droid on the ship and Luminara and Ahsoka are there fighting with Asajj Ventress to protect Gunray and there's that senate guard in blue who betrays them. Idk the name of the episode, but hopefully you know which one I'm talking about!

I was a BS and TVC collector for a long time, but I'm tired of the way Hasbro is handling everything, so I'm selling off my collection to afford my first Hot Toys, and your videos are really helping me get a good feel for the figures and which ones to get. I got Boba Fett in his acid scarred armor on preorder, then I went back and got the Armorer, Rex, Clone Wars Ahsoka, and the 332nd trooper. I also have my eyes on Koska Reeves and Jango Fett.... But I figured since they have a good life span ahead of them, I wanted to prioritize getting others that are nearing the end of their life cycle like Rex, 332nd, and Armorer, at least it's my understanding that they will be gone soon... I'm excited for this new hobby!

Edit: I think they decided against doing the headsculpt is because clones make a point of individualizing themselves. Tattoos, haircuts, etc.

No the droids were just shown not officially announced. Hot Toys shows a lot of stuff that never gets made unfortunately

By the way: thinking about the headsculpt, I'd love if they anounced a set purely for different varations of the Jango head. Like 6 or so different ones for those who armybuild with hairstyles and tattoos on basically the same face for those troopers.
