      Jens Roßbroich True. My mom told me that the shirt fit great even though there was excessive billowing at the bottom of the shirt and lots of puffiness from the back.

    Awesome video!! I see men with ill fitting shirts (clothing) every single day and know that they simply do not bother having their clothing tailored (my tailor has help me transform my entire wardrobe). This is what so many people just don’t understand, the fit makes the finish. You should ALWAYS present the best of yourself at all times and clothing can help you do that. Louis USN(Ret).

    Great advice, thanks Antonio. Too bad that more shirt makers are reducing their styles to offer only tailored or slim fit, on the basis of looking better. This would seem to be primarily to save material, rather than for style. Fascinating videos and advice from you - more of the same please.

    My favorite is the Reserve tailored fit shirts from Jos. A Bank. The large size fits really well and they usually have great sales. Last week during their "Super Tuesday" sale, I found 2 $100 shirts for $29 apiece.

    I have started wearing shirts that are more form fitting here in the UK. I even had a MTM shirt done. There is something about them that just seems to not lay flat across the chest.. so while the shirt is technically more form fitting-- it look worse. And in the US, a 16.5 inch neck normally gives me a good 24 inch sleeve, but in England, those sleeves are more like 25.5 inches with larger cuffs. So EVERYTHING in England has to be tailors, regardless of what I buy. I get cheap JC Penny oxfords that fit perfect in the US.

    Thanks for the video. Ive read that the sleeve length should go halfway down your hand or to your top knuckle with cuff unbuttoned. Is that correct? That seems a little long to me, but only to your wrist bone is a little short. I'm 5'9" and all my shirts are 32/33 which comes down about an inch below my wrist bone. The problem with this, is that very little of my shirt sleeve can bee seen below my jacket sleeve which is tailored to the bend of my wrist. 34/35 is too long, especially if I take off the jacket. Anyone else?

    now, can someone explain the number on the label of the shrit? some have at least 3, for example. 18 34/35

    • @nijikirainijinosei92
      @nijikirainijinosei92 3 роки тому

      The first number is the size of the collar, measured in inches- here, 18 inches. The second two numbers indicate that the length of the sleeve is, in this instance, between 34 and 35 inches. The collar size is generally also the shirt size, with sleeve length being to accommodate longer or shorter arms.
