When I was in school for graphic design, my go to for color was white, black and red. It appeared so much it looked like it never failed, and was the only time a color could be as saturated as possible without me hating it. Beyond that fashion was about contrast. Light/Dark, thick/thin, tight/loose, big/small, reflective/flat, complementary/analogous, plain/accents, but then just layers. I'm not a fashion person. Quick question do you think tone on tone is better or worse than tone in tone. And personally as an art fan, I consider skin as part of the 3 color rule, so no shorts with layers. Lastly, should of the 3 colors, would it be bad if the 3rd color and the point have the same saturation. It seems like it'd be confusing on what's matching unless it's a hat you can remove.

Phenomenal video. I'm from the UK but I used to live in Korea. You summed up all of the important points really well. Obviously some of Korea is on another level in terms of style but generally I feel like most people there understood the basics and I wish the west did the same. You've got a new subscriber. I'd be keen to see you talk about Korean style more (not just with clothing)
Fashion in Korea is mostly simple yet well put together, what makes Koreans stand out is that they are always well groomed, hair is always on point, they are clean and then they are all contrasty, very black hair, eyes and eyebrows with fairer skin (either naturally or due to products) this, with their extremely common use of black and white creates very balanced yet sophisticated looks, they often throw an accessory like a cap. However, outside this there isn't much, you then have the dressier ones which are, again, simple but clean, it is not all that common to find Koreans outside the norm because they are a very homogenous society where standing out from the crowd is not good. Women obviously have more choice and they add more dresses in warmer months. Another important thing about Korean style is that they are mostly thin and their clothes either fit or are bulky, whichever style they use they balance it well, for example, a ton of young people wear bulky pants/tshirts but they add bulky/clunky showes and a cap and it looks quite nice because it is matching. However, if you look at their progression, after age 30-35 most Koreans downgrade quite a bit, typically post marriage when they have a baby, they often wear more comfortable and dressed down like sweat pants and regular sneakers for comfort then, at around 45+ is when the golf gear comes in, specially women and then it is just a mess of colour and weirdness with the same gold hats that look ridiculous plus colorful sneakers, that is a total no fucks given but because everyone does it they don't stand out if that makes sense. Not that many people remain elegant and many people go very casual as well if they don't have office work without putting much attention, just sticking to black and white. Outside Seoul people care less about style or have less money for that but in Seoul there is a ton of competence, specially between, say, 26-32 when they enter the work force, have more money and can buy Guccis and Louis Vuittons (which is crazy over there)

I have watched a lot of Korean Drama series (and still watching) and every time I see how well dressed the men and women are. Thanks to that I started to work on my own fashion wardrobe.
As I feel this was absolute awesome and legit fashion advice video I'll say one thing that was constantly on my mind the whole video. I think your videos will gain a lot from color correcting, right now they look like logarithmic raw color, very washed out, going through a bit of color correction might make your video really pop. This was even more accentuated by the professional fashion photos and videos you were showing as examples of fits. Once again awesome video just that thing called my attention.
been doing this without being taught for years, seems almost self explanatory except that I don't wear a lot of black and I don't follow trends I just be lookin good
Im in my late 20's now but just started getting into fashion last year, I didn't even know but I naturally use a lot of these concepts. And have learn from my failures of trying to hard
I was just waiting for you to say the last concept of this video.. I always thought "Am I wrong for not wearing Sambas, like everyone else?", so thank you for clearing my mind with this 🤘🏻
For tone matching convert your outfit to black and white and if all the colors are now very close to the same grey tone you’re closer than if they contrast a lot.
The only way to dress better is to wear your clothes. Give time to wear every clothes that you have and see what you want, and what works for wherever you're going. If you get bored just buy one or two clothes, and try to incorporate that into the outfits that you have. When i say every clothes that you have that also includes jewelry, and accessories.
i would also say to stay away from slim fitting clothes even if it would show your body more. e.g. singles inferno cast they are all jacked but wear relaxed clothing fits.
Overall this is really good advice. The only thing i’d say is that the times and trends dictate a lot of what looks “good”. This is great advice for general fashion though
I've spent a lot of time in Korea and one thing I notice, although I had never heard the terms until this video, is that a lot of people struggle with the 꾸꾸꾸 vs 꾸안꾸. I see a lot of 꾸꾸꾸 on the streets of Seoul and since Covid a lot of 꾸안꾸 but not a lot of people that can tread the fine line between the two. Don't get me wrong, it's hard to get right and there are a lot of Koreans that look fantastic, but that effortless "je ne sais quoi" quality can be hard to find in Korea. I have to hand it to them though to have invented these concepts that help people put together looks. It really does show.
Hmm, yes. I guess I go against number 3 quite often. I don't like to underdress for any occasion. Because of that, I tend to just wear a somewhat formal look whenever I go outside.
Was in Cali last summer and I never ask anyone where they got this shirt or that. But, there was a Korean guy who had this shirt on and it just looked like the most comfortable fabric and just fit well. He didn’t know where he got it from, however lol.
Usually UA-camr style bloggers are pretty clueless and their 'advice' laughable but although I might have articulated the ideas here slightly differently pretty much every tip here I naturally apply to my looks everyday the only one I differ on is the black and white rule: My rule is I *never* wear anything black or white. I so often see these 2 colours really mess up a look. The only times a ever see people looking good in B &/or W is when dressing entirety in monochrome. So the golden rule really should be DON'T mix montone 'AND' colour. So if you are wearing colored items with a black coat swap that coat for a navy blue one - you will look so much better. If you are wearing a white T shirt with a coloured jacket switch the T for an off white or grey heather one - again it will bring your look together and transform it from bitty and disjointed to unified and whole.
I don't know how many of your viewers have been to Korea, but I can say for certain that style is most definitely not the strong suit for most men there. It's very common for people to visit and be totally underwhelmed by how the men dress. K-drama really has painted a distorted picture in people's heads. The women on the other hand, they have great style, beautifully dressed. Amazing country, I'll be returning soon.
Fashion “tips” just get you to spend more and introduce stress induced fomo into already stressful life. This stuff can be fun. But don’t let it overtake your other priorities. Health. Happiness. Relationships.

Im in my late 20's now but just started getting into fashion last year, I didn't even know but I naturally use a lot of these concepts. And have learn from my failures of trying to hard
Point is basically just contrast in a specific thing
Thanks man❤Your videos are great
I was just waiting for you to say the last concept of this video.. I always thought "Am I wrong for not wearing Sambas, like everyone else?", so thank you for clearing my mind with this 🤘🏻
surprised there wasn't much about fit or proportions, tucking etc but great advice and easy to follow, thanks!
This advice is sooo amazing :))
damn real good tips video
Damn!! that was one of the best tips that sums up everything. Glad i found this channel.
For tone matching convert your outfit to black and white and if all the colors are now very close to the same grey tone you’re closer than if they contrast a lot.
I was freaking remembering your video 10 min ago and thought why so late for new one then this notification pop up 😆❤
Those were... really good advices. Nicely done.
함께했던 시간이 같이 행복했습니다❤😂🎉
The only way to dress better is to wear your clothes. Give time to wear every clothes that you have and see what you want, and what works for wherever you're going. If you get bored just buy one or two clothes, and try to incorporate that into the outfits that you have.
When i say every clothes that you have that also includes jewelry, and accessories.
I just like how guy talking about things 😊 ty!
*bruh do more fashion videos like this instead of physique contents*
Truly great advices~ Thank you!
tremendously helpful insight
being able to pull off something that isnt trending is way more fashionable than being able to adopt a trend into ones wardrobe.
Fantastic fashion tips. Thank you.
i would also say to stay away from slim fitting clothes even if it would show your body more. e.g. singles inferno cast they are all jacked but wear relaxed clothing fits.
thats true, I see lots of korean tourists in Paris and they are really well dressed
I just chuck it on because it’s comfy.
Overall this is really good advice. The only thing i’d say is that the times and trends dictate a lot of what looks “good”. This is great advice for general fashion though
More videos like this plz! Loved it thanks
Want a same video for women badlyyyy
the concepts aren't exclusive for men though?? what makes you think women can't apply those?
I also changed my fashion so by the time I left I was wearing more form fitting clothes to accentuate my figure and it didn't hurt that I lost weight.
Thanks for the video. It was really informative.
I just bought my sambas this past week 😢😢
But i do style them pretty well.. but i’ll probably buy another pair of shoes like an converse chuck 70 hi
great video man
so basically be fit , be pretty and wear nice clothes, k thx great advice.
My son is trying to up his fashion game, I sent him this video.
Wow.. superb video. You got a new subscriber here❤
Hmm, yes. I guess I go against number 3 quite often. I don't like to underdress for any occasion. Because of that, I tend to just wear a somewhat formal look whenever I go outside.
Redefining the saying “what’s the point?” 😂
Health. Happiness. Relationships.
good advice! Thanks
Bro you just chqnged my life. Thanks
Point 3 sounds like the Italian concept of sprezzatura.
crazy using that title with the middest three fits on the thumbnail
Third point..i really want it😭😭 i didn't know it was a thing but it seems embrassing that it looks like i tried hard to look good.
Love it gonna create something on this
thank you this is amazing
Hi! Can you please do a video with some tips about print/pattern clothes? More like FARM RIO style...
Sometimes i think im ahead of the time. I was wearing this outfit from a year or 2 yrs ago, next year the outfit i wore way back is the new trend. 😅
