Fallout has S.P.E.C.I.A.L.
Wasteland 2 has C.L.A.S.S.I.C.
Facebonez wasteland came first
Thanks for a great breakdown of all the skills and attributes
My pleasure man! Thank you for your comment mate =)
thanks for the video. much more enjoyable watching your video then reading guides. appreciate the high quality upload
Thank you for saying so Hayden! I am glad it was of use :)
Thank you once again man
My pleasure mate!
I am pretty exited about it as well! :)
This was a pretty good introduction. I just created 4 characters today... wish I had seen this first!
I went for a bit of a "jack of all trades" for my main character. Then I have a sniper, melee guy, and Doc / Science guy.
Nice work man. Very informative vid sub earned
I appreciate that Muhammud, thank you! :)
Wasteland 2: Character Creation Guide - Everything You Need To Know To Get Started!
Cool, ty for the info before getting started
My pleasure mate :)
Outdoorsman Skill also grant you to just gather some high level healing plants, but you still need a combat medic/surgeon to use them.
Ahh good to know. Thanks! :)
yeah, found that out the hard way in the ag center. all those lovely herbs but unable to pick them without destroying them... dang it.
How does skills work in party? For example will Outdoorsman, Leadership combine, or count highest value, or selected character only? How Luck affects loot? Count Luck of character opening chest, or main character, o combine? etc...
Thanks for this video. I'm going to try your character out when the new version hits Steam. So high Int will start you out weak in the beginning, but will eventually pay off? How important is leadership?
LiftingNerd Gaming Hey man. Helpful vid, thanks. I was wondering, what is the song playing at 8:00? I'm not a fan of dubstep but that was a nice, softer version of dubstep and I enjoyed it.
ty man
if you go through the entire game with custom characters and have them as upgraded as possible does the character that you upgrade keep his upgrade after the game or does it all reset?
Good advice, I'll pick up this game tomorrow, thanks for sharing. Could you please tell me what's the name of the first song on the background. Thanks.
I think you will like it Jung :)
I'd wish that I could tell you but I honestly can't remember any more. It was a song I found randomly on youtube :)
One question... Is it necessary to choose all 4 characters at the start of the game? Or you can create like two characters and then start the game with only 2 guys (or girls)? :)
Are melee characters very viable in this game? It seems like ranged are better than melee.
the thing u never did cover is best ways to make classes. i love to have leader, medic, sniper, assault, scout.... i understand i can mix the base and make the 4. but how?..
Very insightful, thanks for the guide!
On a sidenote, I disagree with your recommendation of upping Luck if you pick Brawling: Every point in Brawling increases Crit Chance by 10, eventually capping out at 100% -> Luck is nigh-redundant even if you don't max Brawling.
Thank you Mj1284, and yea I see what you mean. Good point!
Good vid
Thank you mate :)
Thats great, but Im not a big fan of weapons that uses a lot of ammo. I do use assault rifles, but I usually just go for single shot or headshot. Never picked SMG and Im not sure if I did something wrong, but the game I had someone with shotguns, it was almost useless. Im currently using a sniper, heavy weapons/blunt, energy, pistol and assault and Im pretty happy, but my energy guys, sometimes, doesnt have much use ( I think I will add some shotgun skill next level)
SMG's seems really powerful in the beginning of the game. I am not sure how well they do late game. I will have to test that :)
Everyone seems to be saying that putting max points into intel is a good idea but when it comes down to the long term I think 6 Int is more than enough, with any more than that your characters may have a really tough time about 2-4 hours in with the large amount of encounters with 10+ monsters :/ they will target every one of your team members. Imo it is more useful to have int @ 6 for most of your characters, maybe 9 on one so you can still be decent in fights which is the main part of this game xD without a decent amount of points into coordination & perception you may end up missing A LOT of your shots...
Unlike Fallout you won't be able to upgrade your actual attribute points for a while into the game.
Also I found @ the beginning of the game the only skill points worth putting 2 in at the start are your weapon skills. pick one for each character as their main weapon & put two in that & then 1 in a secondary weapon skill. For the General & knowledge skills you'll be more than fine with just 1 point into each of the ones you choose. I haven't come across any traps, locks, safes, toasters, alarms or computers in the first couple hours of the game that weren't 75% + on the success rate.
Just my opinions though, I'd love to hear what people think.
that is why i said @ most, you can get it up to 8 if you wanted after playing a little while. but I would suggest giving each character 4 Int @ the start of the game.
Maaaybe give your medic 8 if you had a hard time dying a lot or something with a previous playthrough.
Also surprised how useless brawling is now :/ melee seemed over powered in the beta & now it's like they gimped it.
Pistols crit chance & damage also went up quite a bit
*****
In principle one could choose 6 as you get at least two extra ability points later on. Then again it probably is easiest to choose 8 directly and raise up to 10 if one really wants to max it.
Mr. Ganj
Would not say so. Lexicanum for example does relatively good brawl damage.
Question: Should I start new game? I am still at the beginning of the game, almost done with the ranger quest and I have problem with ammo, four of my people use similar ammunition so I have two snipers and two people with assault rifles, now the problem is that ammo is like gold so far and my question is that does things go better or am I better of starting new game and specialise in different weaponry?
I'll answer my own question now, as I progressed I found that now I am swimming in money and ammo. Two lvl 10 snipers and two lvl 10 assault rifles, well lets just say they make the most EPIC party ever, the fight is over before it can even start :D.
UndefinedGamer Oh sorry I didn't reply. I must have missed your question.
Sounds like you have progressed very well though. It is such a fun game! :)
LiftingNerd Gaming Yes, and VERY addicting, I have been playing it for 5 days now non stop :D
Nice man! Sounds like days well spent :D
Totally!
I have killed groups of like 7 raiders with heavy guns, survived without water for way to long and now Im stuck at the Honey badgers.
I cant touch these badgers, the have a solid 300 hp, can run around the map in a turn, have 3 hits....Seriously teed off.
That sounds kinda brutal man!
Great video :) Your accent it sounds danish... Du skulle vel ikke være dansk?
In any case you've gained a sub :)
Thank you Michael!
Jeg er dansk ja ;D
Waiting for this on ps4, are you dutch btw?
+IronMeatCurtain Yes it is, you should read some more dude..
+IronMeatCurtain next week release on ps4, dumb fuck
who tf are you talking to
Check out wasteland 2 nexus mods. There is one very good weapons rebalancing mod out there. Because without a doubt the weapons are not balanced well at all. To generally only have one weapon to go to as the ultimate end game is poor balancing. but even inxile has asked for balancing feedback and admitted essentially its not perfect. And how virtually every gun in the game is useless except high end assault rifles it takes away from the roleplay value of it all. you shouldnt be so penalized by choice of weapons. it should just alter the tactics you take as this is a tactical rpg, but with poor balancing its not tactical at all. it forces you generally down one path.
This guy sounds like jensen ackles from supernatural, if he had an accent lol
du må være dansk! go' guide!
get brawling....literally your fist is faster than charismatic words, and bullets.
Dude all you did was read the details. I too can read.
I ripped again,
As a result I have started playing this after I supported it early on but purposely never played it until Friday 19th....Really enjoy it
I really like it as well. The depth of the game is awesome! :)
