your air intake is now a hot air intake, factory air box would perform better as it pulls cool air from the fender.
if you don't mind me recommending. 5 in strate pipe is hands-down the way to go if you're gonna spend the money on exhaust. It sounds 10 times better. My truck sounds like a Peterbilt brother. 5 inch straight pipe with an 8 x 15" tip, trust me you'll drool when you hear it.
I have tested 3 inch 4 inch and 5 inch with different tips and muffler set ups. The best sound on the diesel was a 5 inch strate with the 8 x 15 tip.
Do tips effect the difference in sound? Does it make it echo or resonate differently??
Buddy your exhaust tip is a garbage can. Always looks better just running same diameter pipe all the way to exit.
Stop compensating and putting skirts on your exhaust lol
Great advise done in a direct straight forward way with good visuals.
karl's BHAF intake is that exact intake you have plug-and-play. It's only like 250 bucks. Absolutely the best intake. I would recommend building a heat shroud on the exhaust side of that filter to try to keep some of your heat away. I built a custom box and it dimmed down my whistle quite a bit😞
Really solid video great cheap mods and I will be doing those shortly !
Hell yeah I’m glad the video was helpful!
I noticed my heat shield is missing and I was wondering if you think before I repaint my truck (and hood) should I get another heat shield for my hood or leave it?
No I pull those off most vehicles I have in general
