Quick note; when ever you remove the air tube, check the turbo for play. Just because you’re right there. Also remove the anti whistle ring, got to love the whistle.
I was wondering how are you getting 2000rpm at 75mph. My auto hits 2300 at 75mpg. Mine is a 4x4 but trying to understand how to get to 75 at 1500-1700 rpm. If possible.
On the hy35 you will either need to use the j hook device or go to the hardware store and get a turnbuckle and use it to prevent the waste gate from opening. No elbow on the hy35
I hope you take this as constructive criticism from someone who does video editing for a company. Tone the music out early on. No clips of your dog or other vehicles not related to the video. Also, consolidate your words down so they are more instructive and less confusing. Your video could have been 3-4 minutes and gotten far more views while being a better instructional video.
@andrew powers it's got a vacuum referenced propane mixer for fuel. The harder the engine sucks the more propane it gets. Pretty simple system that works amazingly well without any electronics. Plus it's about 112 octane so that's covered. It's got a fairly mild timing advance limit because it was designed to run 10 psi on 85 octane. Im guessing I'm at about 15psi now after unhooking the vac line. it's a just a 25mm turbo on a 1.0 liter. This car runs so cool it takes a minute to fully warm up. It almost could be an air cooled engine in winter. Propane is 44 below zero and I have to heat it up with hot coolant lines to get it to evaporate faster. I also suspect it cools the turbo down. I did find it runs better on the colder autolite plugs vs the ngk. The bottom end is stock but I'm pretty sure it can handle a fair amount of abuse. I did put a pretty nice head gasket in it tho. Major (minor?) Issue is it has no intercooler and if I removed the BOV as well so it doesnt blast flammable vapor to atmosphere.(I want to try with an ignitor system to get it to shoot flames between shifts one day) but for now its run awesome the way it is for 3 years and my daily grocery getter. I suspect the first thing to break will be the gear box or an axle. The axles are about to pop any day now actually haha
Negative ghost rider. I had a 12 valve stock everything. I removed the silencer ring on the turbo. And cut off the muffler. And plugged the wastegate with a rubber line and shut off valve. When the valve was open all I got was 14 WOT at 65. Converter locked up at 48mph. When the shut off valve was off I reached 35 36 psi WOT at 65. You'd be surprised in the boost difference. But the 2001 24 valve I have now has 150 HP injectors. Straight piped exhaust. A turbo from a 2004 Cummins is what I'm told and a edge comp box. With the box turned up and blowing black smoke all I get is 36psi.

Just for future reference chummins is a Chevy with a cummins in it
Yep I thought you were off on dbl boost 10psi to 20psi. Some turbos can go way up there if you lock waste gate closed.
what gear ratio do you have in the rear end
259s
anything over 35psi on stock hx35 isnt good.
plus mine wad blowing the boots off.. had blocked wastegate with edge tuner
What is the part number

Your rear end has a different gear ratio
Does it also start boost at lower rpm? Would make sense to but barley noticable I would think
Does this only work on hx35s? Because I have an hy35 turbo and it’s set up different so I can’t use a boost elbow

@@jamesandrews7441 i put on an hx 35 because I’m getting 100 hp injectors and I know the hy won’t keep up with then
use scania holset hx 52 it will be more funnier
i dont like the bull bar, makes it look like a 1500
I took it off along time ago
What's you average MPG's?
Good video. Just ordered one myself.

At the same time he got 13mins of view time and I found it pretty entertaining so there's definitely different opinions on it
noice second gen
I just got full boost for free by unhooking the waste gate vac line and plugging it off. Turbo geo metro goes FAST now.
@andrew powers I'm curious to see for how long lol. What do you think will go wrong first?

@@misterbulgerturbo is probably gonna over spool and blow itself, also if you have stock motor to much boost could blow the bottom end
Some people make UA-cam just to hear themselves talk🤦
Some people make comments to make themselves feel better about their own insecurities. 🤦🏻♂️
Kinda misleading...was gonna ask how you got around the de-fueling @18-20PSI boost for 10$....but $500 Edge does that -_-
Or ya know, a $50 boost fooler
Need fuel for boost. So no the elbow doesnt do much.
