i swear to play in these leagues it must be a requirement to act like a child over everything
I noticed this game is in Ontario, Canada. I have been a referee in the local adult league for fifteen years, and I officiate games such as this. Here in New Mexico they act the same way.
I noticed they are a bit dramatic haha
@@zyhritoyoko8201 hah tiny bit
You are correct about that. Whine, bitch, flop and then whine more.
there is only 1 requirement....be shit
Never seen so many players go down easily and scream for everything
you just saved me from typing so much
You defined soccer.
You have obviously not watched many IST videos of Canadian soccer. For a country known for hard-nosed blokes, they cry so much. I wish refs would start handing out yellows and reds for dissent.
@@marlondiaz7957 you mean defined European soccer, USA soccer don't tolerate this shit, well at least the refs are not suppose to
men.
what can i say.
11:53 is the clearest penalty of them all and he doesn't call it
Because he called that guy back from an earlier "foul", so the ref was holding over some animosity towards the player and let that influence his decision NOT to call an obvious penalty...a penalty. Plus, I know it's not easy in a 1-1 game with both goals being penalties...to call ANOTHER penalty...
Agreed...I think Stevie Wonder could have called that.
@@CaptainDawg02 Exactly - this is where young refs tend to struggle. Hopefully he will improve with experience!
No it was a red card, denial of an obvious goal scoring opportunity.
@@terencekreft482 With the position of the foul, I dont think it was an OBVIOUS opportunity but I could see it either way
Yelling “that’s a yellow” will definitely change the refs mind
Title is correct. Many missed and incorrect calls. However they are not suspect, as in the referee doing it on purpose. They are just mistakes.
Agreed. He's not trying to make the game unfair, he's just bad.
@@hattrickhero1076 He's just young. I think he might have realised he made a mistake on the first penalty, and that affected his decisions for the rest of the game. He'll improve :)
Mark Myerson I really like that perspective, plus it’s a lot harder to make calls in the pitch, than it is to sit here with a good angle and replays
This kid looks like hes 20. No experience whatsoever for a tournament
@@diamond1310 It’s not like the players are any better at what they do either.
Give the guy who thinks up these titles a pay raise 😂 - pure poetry.
00:40 Highlight of the game
bro i swear
A young ref unfortunately. I think he has potential, but you could tell he had something to prove on the pitch. Hopefully with footage like this he can see where he made emotional decisions..
What a showcase from blue's keeper! Excellent performance.
Overall, this was a well officiated match. With teams this aggressive, you need to pull out the cards early and often so it doesn't get out of hand
@@chriswade5715 agreed on all accounts except the no pk toward the end. Definitely a grab and probably a yellow as well
@@justusheers9156 I'm ok with the no-call there ... The attackers legs mysteriously just stop working suddenly (he's trying to sell the foul). Maybe if he fights it, the pull has more effect and leaves the ref with little choice... But here, 1-1, late, amateur player makes amateur decision to draw a foul in the box from a Promising Attack, not DOGSO... I like the No Penalty earned here. Tho that defender IS a complete moron.
Also, he knows he's had some controversial foul calls so he can easily let something go. Everyone here is unhappy no matter what he does! The match seems equally played so a result by penalties is perfectly just. He also had good positioning, strong whistles and mechanics, handled free kicks/delays well, and called a Balanced Game. These skills take experience, something which I speculate most of his critics lack.
Yes, camera replay shows the first penalty should have been a corner. But did you notice, the Only Players that really knew were the 2 involved... It was visually awkward and dramatic in the moment. The majority of his calls are correct. Anyone could have misread that first penalty challenge. Q
He’s given two good penalties but the pull by the blue defender is a huge mistake.
Never thought id be binge watching amateur canadian soccer videos....but here i am lol
Love how “professional “ these teams are with warmups. I’ve played my whole life this far at various levels and never have I warmed up as a team or see the refs warm up together. Only see this on this channel
this seems wonderful. thank you Canada for brightening up dark covid 19 days, as i watch this from Singapore...
may amateur football live long and prosperous..
Thank you IST ...
Both goalkeepers top class with excellent positioning skills
I was thinking, the blue team's goalie had a great match
1:26 why did he fall like that XD
Something ive learned from watching these games is that if the teams name is Eastern European or former Yugoslav. You are in for a really entertaining and dirty match jajaja
lol nice of you to generalize Serbians with "former Yugoslav". pls learn some geography/history, there was more than one country in former Yugoslavia, instead of just shitting on all the rest. just sad
@@k3rc4 all those countries where at one time part of the former Yugoslavia, so where is he wrong?
COVID refugee here, these highlights made my day and that includes watching Belarus league today
Good to know !!
this ref was kinda booty
How many referee critics have taken charge of a game - try it sometime.
I think that watching every one of these videos lmao
The ones that complain the most would make the worst refs. They don’t have the balls to referee
Completely agree. I have been a referee for about 15 years. I am a referee assessor, club head referee and referee mentor instructor. Overall this was a well officiated game. Both teams wanted to play aggressively and the referee looked to let them play the game. I love the comments from the spectators who clearly have no idea what they are talking about.
Oof... I'm normally on the ref's hand, but this was really, really bad... wow...
Just came across your page…Best part is you get the moments that make it all worthwhile watching!
Woah!!!!

@@ISTSoccer Man, I am on da’ case! Nice vids for real!!!!
@@richmck007 thanks. some of the older vids are great but i maybe used replays too much.. the newer ones i got a bit better. enjoy!
That was a brutal game, definitely a or two level above this crews ability. Just a general lack of control and consistency.
Number 3's tackle was excellent! But I don't blame the ref
@1:44 whoever screamed shut up.... nice 😃
Ca. 12:00 is a caution and penalty kick for me. Clearly holds the player and brings him down inside the box. A couple of things wrong here: 1. It’s holding, which is an auto caution, and 2. It’s also SPA.
Nice, this is really good job, with replay video and different inverse angles. 👍😎
thanks!
That waterslide looks awesome! xD
Worst ref I've seen in an IST video so far,
And that takes some doing
Not really. Unless you havent seen all videos though
You need to watch more IST videos ;)
Ummm definitely not, he is probably the best I’ve seen on these videos, he had 1 missed obvious call the hold in the box, but other than that he had a pretty hood game, you can’t call everything otherwise players get frustrated, he controlled the players early on and it wasn’t a bad game.
@@MWingers The best (IMO, by far) is the short, dark-skinned (Indian?) female.
where was this played?
Good experience and lesson for a young ref.
What city is this? Looks beautiful
Día 18 de la cuarentena. No entiendo que estoy haciendo son la 1 de la mañana y UA-cam me recomienda esto
Really good reffing. Difficult game to ref too because they seemed like professional divers more than soccer players.
Awful officiating but yes lots of diving
Guys...I from Uruguay....I love wach this league.....remember see ...Suarez wend see clean up the streets ..he was a cleaner...in Montevideo..but he play o training.. every day...are many so good players...play very good...soccer was my life school....I love see this kids playing..thx...

I love the game...is in my blood...lol
We got nav out here telling us he got the ball 🔥
Poor Reffing, didn't really control the game, but was good to see him not take any squash from the players, lots to learn. Keepers put on a save show that was just beautiful to watch.
Great job ref dealing with these clowns.
“What?! What?! I touched the baaallll!!” “SHUT UP!!!!” : /
Where are these guys located?
Kitchener, Ontario, Canada
Should've been a straight red for #15 for the white team at 4:36. Combination of putting his arm in his face and pulling him down with him. Both are cautionable offenses on their own.
I don't think that is a straight Red Card offense. Unless #15 is on a yellow already, that's not a RED. Both players are doing the same thing, pulling and pushing one another. Yellow cards to both are merited.
@@besmilloshi9990 Fair enough, while pulling the guy down merits a yellow, the arm in the face was at least in play.
@@besmilloshi9990 "Unless #15 is on a yellow, it's not a Red." Makes no sense. Either it's a yellow, or a red. If it's his 2nd Yellow, it's still JUST a 'yellow' offense, just happens to be his 2nd. The fouls are not different b/c you are on a Yellow or not.
@@Fatbug24 How does that make no sense? Two yellows equal to... smh
Firstly, wasn't a foul at all. White actually warranted the contact by establishing his ground. Blue jumped straight up to win the ball. White didn't realize the pressure and mishandled the ball when feeling blue jump. Though connection was made, look at the angle of blue, straight up in the air and back down. No outswinging arms or elbows, didn't place hands on white's shoulders to jump, it was a clean jump. White stood his ground to control the ball, all legal. White didn't like the play, turned around and made the first swing at blue, possibly connecting (couldn't tell from the camera angle, though the ref should have had a better view). Hands to face or even attempting to make contact in the face region is worthy of a red. Blue reacted and also swung and threw white to ground. Regardless of defending himself, still worthy of a red. Another blue player assisted in getting white to the ground by pushing from behind, that is a judgement call on the ref. To me, didn't look too malicious or excessive as he was already going down...I would deem that player to receive a yellow.
I show this to part time officials in the UK on how NOT to ref games 😂😂
I agree.
Ending credits worth staying for
Damn I wish I can still play but covid said no
Definitely not better than liverpool vs barca
man said sakafet lmao hahaha
Haha
Who makes a soccer field surrounded by a raised rock ledge? That's just asking to send someone to the hospital.
how tf did he call that first one lol
1:13 First penalty.
I think the Referee's position is actually not too wrong (some would advice them to move further south-west).
From this first angle, it's easy to think the defender brought the attacker down.
But other angle (1:28) actually shows the defender kicks the ball out, and the attacker misses the ball (should have been a corner kick).
Lesson: When you have a similar angle to a situation - Delay a few seconds and see how the players act, before you make up your mind.
All these people having a go at the ref, why don’t you take the course and see if you can do better??
There were 22 players on the pitch acting like arseholes, they are the ones to blame and not any referee.
Yes, a couple decisions may have been wrong, but you had the benefit of watching 3 replays of the incidents ( and from various angles) which the referee doesn’t get.
The referee is the most important person out on the pitch, no ref = no game!
Damn who yelled shut up lol
Polish eagles keeper did well, had a couple iffy moments early on coming out of the box but didnt let that affect his confidence and stayed aggressive coming out and composed on 1v1s. Then won the game with a PK save well done keep!
Someone please tell me how 12:11 was not a penalty kick?
These players were so childish. Complaining the whole game, going down and screaming all the time, I’d hate to play against either team
Always remember that "I got the ball!" Isn't enough when "You got the player, too!"
I have told players this and they think getting the ball is all that matters.
Like drinking diet soda with high calorie food.
it wasnt a pen mate
Players were embarrassing but the fact the ref was even worse says everything. First penalty was probably the best challenge I've ever seen in the box. The second penalty was a good spot and there should have been a third but the ref clearly doesn't know the rules of the game
Overall excellent game from the refereeing squad
The grab and take down at the 11:50 mark should have been a Penalty. I would love to know why the Referee ruled that their was no foul.
2:38, how does the ref not call this? Player extends his upper arm to push a player. We learned in basic ref school, if the arm comes away from the body like that, the player is pushing. Clearly on this play, the offender was playing the player and not the ball. Foul.
Loved how they showed someone’s step sister 0:40😂
This clip might actually be funnier than watching Female Football.
I got tha bol!! SSHHHAATTTAAAPPPPP!! LLOOOOOOLLL
I don't think this referee was ready for this game. However, I think once he irons out his positioning and works on his self-management and player-management, he will be ready for this type of game in the near future.
Watching this I didn't want either team to win...
@ 10:50 is actually obstruction on the blue team. You cannot shield the ball for another player, with no intent to play the ball yourself, and make contact with the opposing player.
Although in real time speed from ground level, this individual example would be hard to see it.
Good game ref made 3 mistakes which cost the red team in this case the game but overall good game
The kits make it look like man city v April 2012
The highest quality here is ... the video title! Close 2nd for the video skills. The players, fans, and refereeing... not so much.
that Ref at 11:52.... pure 100% foul from blue team.... he was holding red like - 3seconds... and ref didnt say/do anything. :D Pathetic.
Yeah I think he didn’t want to call it because he felt he would get confronted.
That ref was a joke. 😂
1:40 Isnt that a dangerous slide tackle from the back which is a red card? Doesnt matter if he got the ball or not. I'm not sure though.
Naw, has to be with excessive force. His left arm dragged down the attacker; next time don't touch the attacker and he'd be fine. And his poor clearance prior to that set himself up.
@@briansoerries5750 fax
Is anyone going to comment on the waterslide in the back ?.?
Don’t know if the fans had to pay to watch this Red team, but they should get a refund
Need a new rule. If you fall on the field screaming in agony, you have to be replaced. Maybe it will cut down on the diving and crying.
Some very obvious, bad calls. This referee appears to have not actually played football himself. The Polish team were ripped. It is not just in my country that refereeing standards are poor.
That last play with cleats up 3 feet from the ball both legs......is a red card.
Big oof😂
So a few things from this Ref
- if you going to allow shoulder to shoulder contact, be consistent with the calls. You cannot call it a foul or not a foul depending on the where it happened on the field.
- Keeping control of the game does not mean giving out yellow cards for every foul. the more cards you hand out, they lose there meaning. Yes, cards should be given out, but they have to be done with a purpose.
- how did he see the first penalty. there must have been 2 people in his line of sight. The linemen should have spoke up and said something because he would or should have been looking at that spot. do not make a call based off of peoples reactions. The guy missed the ball and tripped over himself.
- Its not a high kick foul on the player who used his feet when the the blue player lowers body/head to get to a ball. It a foul on the blue for playing in a dangerous manner 7:54 Reffing 101
- that first penalty shot for the red team was one of the weakest calls i have ever seen. He is in perfect spot to see the play and you make that call? I guess you can say its a make up call but dont make it look so obvious.
- 10:58 you cant just simply cut in front of a player and expect him not to run you over. Its called obstruction, unless you are close to the ball, which blue player wasn't. You cant shield when your 10ft away from the ball. The 19 blue player wanted to shoulder the red player and lost Do not complain like baby after
-11:53 HOW COULD YOU NOT SEE THAT, you are in the perfect spot again and you can see the foul? He did go down easy, but the guy full on held him and there feet tangled. My goodness
The ref did not know what he was doing. You could see that from the start. Whether it was inexperience or just incompetence he should not be reffing a Ontario Cup final. If you as a ref come into a game with a chip on you shoulder, this is what happens. You have to be consistent when you make calls. Something that was a foul 5mins is still a foul now. Once you start calling things a certain way, you need to continue it or else people will just get mad. Also dont yell at players to "come here" because it does not make you scary. It make you look dumb in my opinion. Its your job as a ref to stay calm, cool, and collected. Don't yell at players to come to you. Ask them calmly and wait. YOU ARE THE REF.
Sometimes i wish assessors see the fruit of the loins. What refs do when they are being assessed vs when no one is watching is drastic for some. Everyone has a bad game, but my goodness this is inexcusable, especially in a Finals Game.
I agree with everything except your comment at 10:58. I thought the ball was close enough to enable him to enter a shield position. What are the guidelines on that? I also thought red's shoulder charge was a bit excessive
@@BrinthanB its really the refs discretion and what they see as obstruction. I wouldn't have called a foul, I would have just stopped the game for the "injury". You cant shield the ball when you dont have possession. The ball was never close enough to the blue player to say he had it. Also, notice how he cuts right in front of the red player to sort of shield the keeper and ball. It looked more of an attempt to hit the player than it did for playing the ball. Red was smart enough to see it and gave him a taste of his own medicine. The red player didnt even look like he would even attempt something at the goalie but as a defender, you wanna protect your goalie.
Theres a difference between whe the ball is going out and the defender is less than a foot away which they are allowed to shield the ball. This is sort of like a pick. Had blue been way closer to the ball than hundred percent a foul but he was too far. That how I see but then again we have a different view than the ref.
@@BrinthanB you can also tell he thought about it for 4 to 5 seconds. Whether he wanted to see the injured player or call the foul. If he thought it was that serious he should have blowin it immediately. When I make a foul all I do take a second or so see how it plays up but no team what's an advantage in their own box
Fair enough
it seems like every player on the pitch wants to scream about everything
Did he miss a second yellow or was it me?
yup, bald guy in blue
I used to play football in the 80's 90's n the cheating from crap players and the inconsistent refereeing and seeing this video it is worse 40yrs on.
Goal keeper was man of the match 💯
Play by the ref. They ain’t professional refs. They just call what they see. Red team shouldn’t even be complaining because they had many chances to score but apparently they don’t know how to shoot. If you put your game on one call that should have been a penalty to win it then your team definitely ain’t good enough. Blue team did better on fundamentals even tho they didn’t get much chance to score like the red team.
An all penalties match. LOLZ!
Competitive amateur game. Referee is young but seems experienced. He's too stationary and flat through out the game. You gotta run just as much as the players. Casually walking around caused the referee a lot in this game, that's why he missed the Penalty decisions. He was shielded and caught flat on the first one. (100% not a PK.) That was actually great defending.
He was too far behind on the third PK decision which was 100% a penalty for Red&White Team. So, 2 Key Match Incidents missed. Got one correct with the second PK. I'd say referee fails based on this performance and what video showed.
He was a little far behind, but i think he was in the perfect spot and he had perfect line of sight.
I wouldn't want to be any closer because you could interfere with balls played in the box and you narrow you sight lines after. At least he would be able to see any ball played in the box, which we know never did happen because the guy got fouled LOL
Crupi 9902504 closer no, but getting wider yes. When the defender makes the challenge, the referee has at least 2 additional players in his line of sight at the moment of the challenge. . He just assumes he’s right in that decision and he tries to sell it. Loud whistling pointing immediately to the spot. All a show. He knows he’s assuming. But. If he runs left 5-10 feet instead of straight up the middle and flat he has a better chance of having a clear view. That’s all. It’s a game of angles.
@@besmilloshi9990 I was talking about the missed call on what would have been the 3rd PK. The first one he called was to much in the middle. Your right, should be wider, plus you have to trust your linesmen
Who'd be a referee?
Horrible. Just horrible. The lack of skill is hard to watch.
Polish Eagles play really good Tiki Tika but I felt bad for them because this ref was fucking shit, holy hell I was getting pissed off and I’m here at home sad because my season is cancelled, meanwhile eating a bowl of ramen.
The ref is so bad 😂😂
Everything is forced it drives me insane on proples judgment I wish ppl were not ok with kicking the ball to the other team I don't get it every time I lose a possession it gets me fired up
That penalty shout was horrendous!
i think it's the first time the ref has used a whistle cuz he be blowing it like 5 times a min
ref got both calls wrong in the box
1:41 LMAOO
@0:45 Hey! The game is out there!
That ref is an embarrassment
hopefully the ref can see this tape and get better. Personally think he's a little too quick to his card as well for tackles, but then he didn't use it in moments that he should've
Card procedure is not bad. But he makes the incorrect calls. He needs to learn to assess situations better.
11:52 how’s that’s not a penalty!!!
Every teams wingers cross way too early dont understand why they don’t dribble into the box 😂
This should be made into a training film for Referees titled 'You're shit and you know you are'. Or how to mishandle a game by giving soft free-kicks, missing actual fouls, awarding penalties that weren't and missing ones that were.
Terrible fucking penalty call. Rule of thumb in refereeing 101 is if you are not certain, don't call it.
Lol no one gonna talk about how he filmed the girl at 0:40
