James Gorman plays the heck out of this show and makes it look easy. The timbale playing, along with the clave & mambo-bell grooves (with the other hand) so relaxed and dead-on authentic - then jumping effortlessly into difficult "exposed" mallet parts; The timpani playing is excellent, plus a glissando - which is then already and tuned - for the next section coming up (not easy)...really nice!
The conductor on the TV screen is literally doing the thriller dance LOL
Incredible pocket, insane timpani tuning, touch on all instruments. Inspiring.
The focus throughout this is incredible; true musicianship right there.

drumsstop thank you! That’s very kind of you to say.
Was going to mention the independent grooves on each hand, too. Absolutely locked in. And the ritardando out... good stuff.
@@hap328independent grooves on each hand, plus his foot too.
You're accuracy is fantastic. The music is extremely difficult with shifting rhythm cores all over the place.
Nice use of a chair haha. We always work our legs to death running just a couple feet back and forth all the time.
Brilliant!
Love it!
I had no idea it was possible for one guy to do all those parts lol
Two percussionists, one plays kit, the other does the rest....
That's percussionists for ya!
What orchestration is this?
This sounds possibly like the reduced orchestration
The best
i love your chanel
James do you have any tips for doing it
Who else is just watching the conductor on the screen XD
Percussionist perspectives
