About to do this as well. Hopefully the wiring doesn't confuse me too much
*I would highly recommend using JB weld plastic bonder instead of silicone, it dries stupid strong and holds up like oem*

These look GREAT! I’m curious though, I know with doing headlights, you can heat it up and pry the glue separate, but is it not the same with taillights? Why does it need to be cut?

Its so much work, i tried to do mine just the wiring and doing a clean install is hard

I would just like to say this doesn’t work with for the models that have the trunk button you can’t take the cover that you cut off out instead when you’re pulling it’ll just crack snd that trunk button is held by an o ring or superglue I think

So you didn’t have to splice and connect anything to the wires on the actual car? Just inside the tail light to the halos ?
How long did it take to finish one of them?

That cloth might not rip now but it will deteriorate with moisture and heat very quickly versus the fishing wire being made of a plastic material unbreakable by pulling by hand 🖐 the way you mentioned.
We shall see how long it lasts :(

I don’t think so because that rubber silicone seal that is in the headlights is not all around I’m the tailight. The tailights is actually like one piece with the lens I believe in some parts.

Curious what they look like with brake depressed or with turn signals? Are they sequential rings or just blink still
To make them the turning signal I need a module but they do work for regular braking

I wanted these on my G35 with the infinity ring style lights. The ones that look like the go into the car for like a foot or so but its just a mirror trick reflecting the halo ring of of a solid mirror behind the halo and a mirror ring in front of the halo. I'm sure I didn't have to explain all that and you knew what I mean but for those who thought I was dumb and referring to the car brand infinity and not the actual type of light ring housing. Lol
I also wanted to make the headlights some how legal and with a triple RGB halo set up. Whites for street use, change to amber where the original light did for the blinker and hazards, switchbacks. Lol and when its in neutral with the parking brake on I wanted it to have a color controller so I can choose either all red lights or even gold where the inker is because my theme was to go with a red car, black trim for large trim areas, and gold trim for smaller thinner areas. I wanted to go with an all carbon fiber hood, trunk and one off duck bill I designed, side splitters, GT3 bumper either carbon lip at the bottom and carbon defuser, carbon fiber mirrors, and the plan was to candy coat it all in a red metallic since candy paint is transparent but with color added. Whatever you put it on shows through so if the whole car was painted to have a similar color to the carbon fibers most dominant grey I could match it and just add a little metallic pearl to the first coat of clear, wet sand it all smooth af, and then clear it again. And again, and again Lol just to make sure its like glass. The inside is all black so I wanted to have the large trim done in a matching candy red, and the thin trim in gold and shifter knob gold. The subs I had picked out were infiniti's (the audio brand) competition grade subs that have a gold and black theme to them just to keep the theme going. And they have door and 6x9 speakers to match. But she gotta get a nose job. Dog ran out in the road and I saved the dog but hit a sign...
so when you wanna use the turning signal is the little halo your turning signal now ?
