      it’s honestly one of the best spacers out there. the gaskets are way thicker than oem and immensely more durable

    Can't deny the physics of the Z1 Plenum giving just a bit more space up front. When it comes to aerodynamics air will flow in the direction of least resistance so for as little as these Plenums do it best to have the Z1.

      The only problem is with the plenum spacers it'd be cool to actually see how much flow with using a fog machine if it makes that much of a difference

  • @Z33Garage

    I went with MD mainly for the more completeness of the kid ( and also Z1 did not have their kit when I added mine). Ive also had issues with Z1s bolt hardware for certain parts not being strong enough to handle the torque needed. ( their brake line hardware comes to mind). I think either way these kits will perform as advertized and make power with (maybe without? ) a tune. Im not tuned and I for sure feel a nice push mid RPM range.

    It also makes me wonder if you can actually put out the front part of the manifold without having to deal with even putting a manifold on. That would make more sense then you don't have to deal with putting cheesy adapters for your strut Tower brace

      Spacers are proven with the MREV2 over all the aftermarket intake manifolds.

    I don't understand why it would be necessary to go from the Putnam space where you had to the Z1 you already had it it seems like just dropping money down the bucket

    • @AnthonyJ350
      @AnthonyJ350  Рік тому

      The Z1 is technically creating more volume inside and I want to attempt to squeeze as much N/A power out of the car with the stock cam shafts.

    such a clean build. this would be my goal one day for my G35. My question is would you recommend running the plenum spacer or kinetixs v4 plenum intake. i recently bought the kinetixs but seeing what you would recommended. i also got conecptz 75mm throttle body to pear it to. this is going on my DE. More using the car for drag racing and hammering down on back roads.

    • @AnthonyJ350
      @AnthonyJ350  Рік тому +1

      I recommend a spacer and having the factory plenum Cerakoted to help deal with heat. I've seen the Kinetix plenum top flex. Just my preference, I favour long term durability.

    Just curious if you've paired up the Z1 spacer with the MREV2 and wanted to hear your thoughts on it since it's been a minute. I confess I bought a Z1 kit for my 06 rev-up that I had to pull off due to the top gasket bending and not sealing correctly. I've had people tell me that the spacers don't do much for rev-up until you get the Mrev and just wasn't sure if that plus the extra spacing at the front of the Z1 spacer might be too much volume or not.

    • @AnthonyJ350
      @AnthonyJ350  8 місяців тому

      Car has been great. Yes you need the MREV2 to take advantage of the plenum spacer properly. It will fatten up the mid-range a lot, which is where you're going to find a lot of usable power on the street.

  • @jaycoop85
    @jaycoop85 Рік тому

    Great video. Previous owner put a black 5/8 spacer on my revup, definitely not what I would have chosen. I hear 5/8 is more for top end which I don't care about. I wonder if I switch to one of these, if I'll get some mid range power.

    • @neterosrose
      @neterosrose Рік тому +1

      from my experience, the z1 spacer makes a nice difference in mid range around 4th-5th. pair it with a larger throttle body and you're set for mid range and sound gains.

    • @AnthonyJ350

    What’s the consensus on installing a spacer on the revup these days? Mine came with one and I am running lean, so I’m not so sure it’s optimal for the revup.

    • @user-up3vx2hk1q
      @user-up3vx2hk1q Рік тому

      Run a non rev up lower plenum and enjoy the new mid range power along with the plenum spacer. Don't order the mrev2 mod because it's just a port and polished version of the 2003-2004 lower plenums.
