Great guide! After turning in the 8 new books as horde , the q didnt pop (after getting all previous runes). Getting the book from tower of azora in elwynn fixed it for me. (as horde).
Thanks! And yeah, there was some leeway with the previous Runes where you didn't need every single book that was in the game to get them, but you will need *every* single book to get this one now. Glad that you were able to figure out which one you were missing and get the Rune!
@@SigsPlays Update: I finally got it, this is what I did because you need at least 35: Got all 13 non-alliance books from Phase 1 (required) Got 2 alliance books from Phase 1 (optional) Got all 16 books from Phases 2 and 3 (required) Get 4 books from Phase 4
@@SigsPlays No worries! I pulled together the full list of books available across both factions and the grand total is 40, but I originally thought it was 41 because one of the books exists in two locations. So it is just 40. Since I have a horde mage, I am able to obtain 39 of the 40. Some of them were in alliance zones, but definitely obtainable at level 50+. The only one that's absolutely not obtainable by normal standards is the one in Ironforge (Archmage Antonidas: The Unabridged Autobiography).
Yeah i was able to get arcane barrage without turning in the loch modan book and the ironforge book. On a second note i highly reccomend the addon magebooktracker to keep track of which books you turned in. Also updated version of addon questie to show locations.
Hello i have something to ask, I already have Icy Veins rune , Spell power runes and Deep Freeze Rune but still I cannot accept the Greater friend of the Library.. Why please help me
Have you turned in all of the new Books as well? In order to get Deep Freeze you have to turn in 25 Books total, but for this one you need 35 total. So you will need to turn in all of the new Books from this video, plus 2 more from the other Phases if you haven't already. Once you've turned in your 35th book you should be able to get the Greater Friend of the Library quest from Oran Snakewrithe (if you are Horde). I believe that there is an Addon called "Mage Book Tracker" (MBT) if you want to check which books you have / haven't turned in yet, although I personally haven't used it. I hope that that helps and that you're able to get the Rune soon!

Search for a weakaura for mage books. It will help a lot
