I’m from Beruwala no foreigners buy stones from the street only locals buy it’s not mandatory but foreign people gets office or table out the to buy stones majority of the stones are not synthetic if it was maybe they are from rathnapura or like that Beruwala people don’t sell synthetics I can assure it by 90% but testing the stones is must for foreign people because of the treatment of the stone

@@papyluboyamukeba3989 Normally the practice is Sri Lankans travel to Africa to buy rough. The better option is if you work with a cutter in Sri Lanka and share the profits by sending rough by post. I'll ask around and see if anyone is traveling to your area and let you know. I am not too interested in tourmaline as I find it hard to move quickly. But there is a market for it and there is no reason why you wouldn't be able to make money with it.
