I don't understand why it took so long to find any info on this but thank you so much for the video! Super helpful!

So when a tail light goes out, you are replacing the entire assembly instead of just the bulb. So instead of $10 for a bulb, it's hundreds for the assembly.
Luckily, LED's do last much longer, but they do eventually stop working or go dim or the board running them goes out, etc..
Not really a fan of non-serviceable parts like that.

Bruh I just figured this out the hard way ... tried replacing a brake light bulb on my 2017 dodge ram 1500. Easy as 1,2,3, right? Just plug n play like all the vehicles I've had throughout the years .... wrong ... I got halfway through & was like wtf is this? I know damn well I don't have to replace the whole assembly? ... well ... there it is ... and you're right basically $100 bucks

wouldn´t you be able to replace the LEDs or whatever component that is burnt? Seal it up and good to go? Excellent video thanks for sharing.

It's possible yes, but its not easy to put back together because of how the light is sealed.

@@tattedup1189 you could buy used light lenses from a different truck that runs regular incandescent bulbs, not sure if the wiring will be there In the harness tho

I'm having a problem with my 2014 Ram 2500 diesel 6.7 I'm getting a message on the dash saying rear right and left turn signals out. I checked for blown bulbs in the rear and front and they're still good. I can't find a fuse for rear turn signals at all. I replaced the blinker leaver on the dash and still nothing. I do have blinkers on the front just not the rear. Now I also do have blinkers in mirrors one is flashing dem and they're also led for whatever reason, no other light on the truck is led. Just wondering if you may know something about this damn 4th gen that I not checking. If you look up the 2014 fuse panel you'll see what I'm talking about. Nothing indicates rear flashers and brake lights.

Led bulbs will cause the system to think the bulb is blown, you’ll need to either go back to regular bulbs or wire in a resistor
