That is not how you remove the lights, you simple pull towards the back of the truck and they slide off the clios
Thanks for the tip!
You should update the video so someone does not damage their truck.
I was going to say this too. I was getting anxiety just watching it. Just pull forward and they slide out.
I remove these all the time at work to run wires for the CHMSL on toppers/caps. Undo the 2 screws then stand behind the taillight and pull straight back towards you. The light will slide right off the clips then the clips are fully exposed and you can remove them with a plastic pry tool or something or just leave them in there for the new light to slide onto. No need to pry against the truck bed like that. That made me cringe a little. 😬
Thanks for the tip!
We do the same at my work for replacement bulbs
God this was so hard to watch. Inexperience at it’s finest.
You are showing how to remove the tail light assembly the wrong way. Just pull the fixture straight back. Don't pry it off to the side of the truck. There is not need to ruin the paint and break the retaining clips. Do not use a crowbar. Just pull it toward the rear of the truck with your fingers. Redo the video!!!
Not a cross bar, it's a panel removal tool
I didn't damage it though. We took a similar approach to removing door panels and bumper skins.
$190 for that harness is a huge ripoff
It works and it's a major safety item.
You clearly have no idea how expensive those OEM plugs are, and the resistors and drivers. Not to mention the extensive hours spent in research and development by RetroShop LLC to figure this adapter out and make it work 100% without issues. Also the time spent hand building each harness.

Are you kidding me? Those are Made in China lol. I know because I had the headlight conversion kit.
It looked cheap and crappy made just like the one in the video.
I make these, I just use morimoto HD Resistors, work perfectly fine
@@fabiandelgado7321 make them and sell them ? I’d be interested
DO NOT PRY ! Simply undo the 2 bolts and pull straight back ! dam the wiring adapter is as expensive as new tail lamps lol !
But still better than having a new truck payment.
😂 truck all rusted and puts tape
Put in the same effort no matter the condition of the vehicle. Wouldn't you want me to treat your vehicle with the upmost care if you paid me to work on it?
@@AnthonyJ350 my bad. I was just talkin 💩 😆
@@AnthonyJ350 thanks for reply though
@@jdmac8584 Thanks for watching
Do you guys have the convertion from 2010 ram alogen to 2019 leds?
Check out the site in the description, they might have it
Thanks for the video, where can I buy those connectors?
I put a link in the description for the parts.
How come i cant see the link to those connectors
Hi friend, You are doing that the wrong way! My God, why you do that? All you needed to do was unscrew the two screws and pull the light back (towards the back of the truck not sideways) This is the easiest thing to do and you broke the clip for no reason. They just slide back! Sorry but...Wow!
Thanks for the feedback!
Thanks
Thanks for watching!
can you replace fac tail led lights with incandescent lights if the truck has cam-bus in it 2016 dodge ram sport
That I'm not sure.
u dont have to pry it like that. u pull straight back that way its much easier
Thanks for the tip!
Instead of using metal pick to pry it out you could of used a plastic trim remover. I'm sure you're aware of that though.
Yup I show a plastic trim remover. I'm just proficient with the SnapOn one.
THE “HARNESS CONVERSION” WHERE CAN I FIND THAT??? OR A FACTORY LED CONVERSION FOR A 2017 1500 LARAMIE LONGHORN?
I put the link in the description.
THANKS! JUST TO BE CLEAR THAT WOULD MAKE MY FACTORY LED TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLY COVERT MORE INTO PLUG AND PLAY FOR OTHER LED STYLES?
@@santosoresteacostaiii1596 Not sure, it's to go from Halogen to factory LED style taillights
Link for tail lights?
Bought them at our local auto parts store. The brand was DEPO.
i used those on my 2010 and they work but tells me im blinkers dont work how do i fix that
You need load resistors ua-cam.com/video/NMoYGQhD2DI/v-deo.html
do u know what size resistor 2010 dodge ram back lights ama try it tomorrow
@@jrrrivas6441 50 ohm load resistor should be fine. Just make sure to mount it to metal.
Fantastic video i
of a basic upgrade.
I much appreciate the idea of the split loom. I know the trick and have used it in my engine bay. But areas like this is really is super quality measure👌👌
I'm really glad you like the little tricks
or if you took it to UK you'd be legally requiered to fit an amber turn signal. usually in reverse place or screw it into the bodywork
Are there full size 1 tons in the UK?
@@AnthonyJ350 we do have pickups, but nothing like north america, the all in one you demonstrated wouldnt be legal here
@@TheMcooper17Ahhh ok. I do agree with amber signals. I will be converting my personal truck to have amber signals and go over the benefits.
@@AnthonyJ350 i'm not against ambers, its common in europe, just not in private american importd that were never made for european market
@@TheMcooper17 Ambers are more noticeable. You get desensitized when the light is all read.
Can this work for a 2011 ram?
It should, the body should date back to 2009
Ok because I have a 2011 1500 and I’ve seen that those won’t fit a 2011 but I’m not sure if that was without the connectors
@@alfredorodriguez4285 did it work? I have 2011 too
will this cause any error codes ?
No it shouldn't.
Since it has a built in resistor it shouldn't hyperflash.
Do you know seeing how you couldn’t properly takeoff the tail light of a ram truck makes me question everything you do. It’s like going to a mechanic and him not understanding what type of diesel engine you have from that point on everything is in question.
Thanks for the feedback! Should watch more then make an assessment.
