Jon has a pretty loyal fan base, and you should look into some of the things Tyson said to women in his early career. Not a high point for him let alone the rape charge. Point being both are amazing fighters, both were amazing at a very young age, and both's biggest issues aren't with their in ring performance, but with themselves. You don't have to like Jon, I don't think I like him as a person, but as a fighter he's unstoppable.

@@максимзайцев-в6нI’m not sure if you listened to his response to providing context of when he got into the car crash with the pregnant lady, but even throughout this podcast, something is really off. As someone with psychopathic tendencies, we know our own, and he has been so calculating in this episode getting flustered to come up with certain answers, he truly cares about very little, and I personally wonder what Joe was feeling in this episode as someone who tries to pry into peoples lives (in a good informative way). Jon is not a sociopath, he is a pure factor 1 psychopath. I wish he was more honest about the darker parts of his mind instead of the golden boy persona. With someone like Khabib Nurmagomedov and really most other fighters you can tell there’s a level of sincerity immediately, Jon is a walking mask that I would hope many can see through. He was only honest saying he’s a bad guy trying to be a good guy, I know as someone who’s the same

    Questions Joe should have asked:
    (1) How did you feel when Chael Sonnen released what you failed for before your management did?
    (2) Was there any truth behind you hiding under a cage for hours to evade testers?
    (3) How did you feel about Lesnar failing his pre-fight test and still being allowed to compete?
    (4) What are your thoughts on where the LHW division is headed with you gone? Do you expect the landscape to change very much?
    (5) What are your thoughts on the MMA Athletes Association?

He calls himself a christian man, yet when he had the accident the only person he is thinking about is himself. He didn't think about the person he hit, he didn't think about his family, or his fans, all he thought about was himself. If you listen carefully he keeps bringing it back to him.
And Joe is trying to get him to talk about the victim but everytime he brings up the victim he makes it about me, me, me, me. That's very revealing.
    Jon Jones says the following:
    10:42
"it was a really big hit but *I* was fine"
"I realize my bowl is in the car and I search the car"
"If i can't find that bowl, that's going to get *ME* in trouble"
Joe asks him did you look to the other person in the car:
    11:37
"*I* had not clue it was a woman, *I* had no clue that it was a pregnant woman"
Then he explains how he didn't have much sleep, I this I that.
12:40 Joe now asks "Why didn't you look at the other car?":
"It all happened so fast...I knew *I* smelled like alcohol. I just felt like if the police came by it would be a bad situation for *me*" (again thinking of himself)
"I just thought the person I hit had to be okay because *I* was okay because the collision wasn't that hard" (see right there he is again thinking of himself, if I am okay than everyone else should be okay, but also contradicts his initial statement of "It was a really big hit")
Then he talks, and I paraphrase, how everyone is making a bigger deal than what it really was and how he did it intentionally. Pretty much not taking full responsibility.
Joe right away cuts him off and says "But you didn't even look":
    13:29
    "No I didn't even look"
    Joe: "wow"
"But *I* didn't go back for cash" (He reacts by trying to defend himself, but quickly realizes oh shit, that's not what I should have said, so he retracts that by saying it doesn't matter what he did was bad, but then tries to justify it by saying the following)
"I was in a bad point in my life taking everything for granted" (This is probably the most honest of his statements even if it was a defense mechanism.)
Joe teaches him a valuable lesson at 17:55 about not having to rationalize your behavior. It's a defensive road.
What I got from this podcast is that Jones thinks he is won it's battle with his demons when to me, this is clearly just the beginning because he hasn't fully grown up yet. From him talking about drinking again, because he now knows he can handle not drinking. That's the ego talking. Throughout this podcast there is a lot of ego talking. Hubris.
He's ego is part of what makes him great but it's also what can lead to his downfall.
I like Jones and wish him the best but to me it is obvious he is still battling those demons that are part of the legion aka the ego.

Basically called his little girls "curses". Says he's not as bad as a serial killer. Shit, man who is this guys PR person? I'm only 10 minutes in. I'm afraid DC may be correct. He literally seems to be a terrible human being. Edit: on the upside he did break OSP's arm.

Steven Gonzalez I'm not sure there's anything delusional about his narcissistic personality disorder but whatever you say. You know what is delusional though. A problem drinker saying he can just have a beer or two because he's "grown" You know why he believes this? Refer back to my other statements. But on the bright side he did break OSP's arm and he's never done that before. I've honestly watched interviews with serial killers that have provided better "I'm a completely normal guy" argument.

Well, he's a human being who made/makes mistakes. Jones and other celebrities have the misfortune of being in the public eye. At least he's not basking in his decadence. He's confronting his demons instead of hiding in obscurity. And I'm sure he doesn't see his daughters as curses. He has 4 of them and he wants a son like every man does.

It's clear Jones is too full of his own shit to be taken seriously. When Joe repeatedly asked him "you didn't go check on the other person in that accident?" and he kept saying he didn't want to get caught because it would make him look bad? Then when he said he was trippin because he didn't know if the woman would have a miscarriage not for HER safety or the baby's safety, but because he would charged with murder? That's some OJ Simpson next level sociopath shit! Jon Jones is the type of guy who could be caught ballsdeep with another woman, and he tells his wife, "you know, I was really feeling centred and my shakras were aligned, so I decided to just act upon the moment and achieve my inner waterfall.." .. The guy is great inside the cage, but as a human he's not even a piece of shit, he's got some severe lack of ownership over his actions and decisions borderline sociopath Dr. Drew would have a field day with this guy.

    • @epic1053

even though he was 6"4 he was pretty lean so only weighed 225. A lot of power lifters weigh 225+ at sub 5ft10.
600 deadlift/500 squat at 225 pounds will always take at least 24 months of strength training if done naturally.

    • @epic1053
      @epic1053 6 років тому +24

You sound like someone who has maybe lifted for a year and possibly deadlifts around 405, but don't realise how much more difficult the grind is when your deadlift goes up, 550 deadlift to 600 a big grind. 405 isn't even half way to 600 it's like 30% of the way there.
A 315 deadlift at 225 is literally nothing that wouldn't be a starting point at all. Someone with who weighs 225 should be able to dead lift that as soon as they learn decent dead-lifting technique. The problem is the grind from 500-600 is extremely difficult and long, some people will never dead lift 600 naturally. It took omarisuf 5 years of training to hit it, most real natural fitness youtuber only deadlift around 600, some such as scott herman and kinobody can't.
Can you upload proof of you deadlift because i'd love to see your 550 dead lift if someone with poor genetics can achieve it in such little time?
24 months to achieve a 600 deadlift naturally is extremely fast, and uncommon. The only people who have a chance to hit 600 faster then this are people with extremely good leverages for the deadlift (unusually long arms and a short torso) or 250+ pound people.
edit: I was arguing with someone who deleted their comments, the main thing I was arguing with was that they thought a two years to achieve a 600 dead-lift was slow and can be done significantly faster.

I really did not see someone showing this level of narcissism in a long time. When he talks about car accident he talks how it all could affect him and would be bad for him, barely mentioning woman and unborn baby. When Joe asked him if he wanted to better himself for goal of being better person Bones says he want to do it to inspire others and show to the world what a role model he is. He then even stops calling himself a human being but instead a "athlete" like it puts him in special section of our population. Him being 30 years old here with that kind of thinking, im not sure there is a cure for Jones. Its just called being a douchebag

All this scum in the comment section is nauseating. Jon Jones is one of the greatest athletes to ever live. And NONE of us can imagine the amount of mental pressure that comes with. 99% of the population would be insane and nearly dead if given the money and fame he had in his prime. So don't judge him and call him a sociopath because he's trying to explain the way he feels and you don't understand it. Of course you don't understand it. You aren't the greatest of all time. None of us are. There is only him. So either be in awe of him and try to understand him or fuck off. Being negative and nasty does nothing.

I'll admit I was quite upset with Jon Jones and the letdown that came with what happened at UFC 200. This was absolute perfect timing for him to go public and speak on that disappointment, as well as some of the other incidents and/or phases he's gone through as a human being. This podcast, and the way he spoke so openly, has changed my opinion of this guy as a man rather than just a fighter. For the first time I see Jon as a decent, well meaning guy with good intentions that simply made some silly decisions along a path full of fame, fortune and unimaginable pressure. I realize that perhaps I was too hasty and harsh in my judgement and I'll will no doubt be rooting for him in the future.

Jon jones's mindset in a nutshell: "yea yea I definitely fucked up, but what about..uh, hitler? he definitely did worse... so don't give me shit...I feel amazing"

Don't forget he thinks he would be a great role model "one of the best" and hes disappointed because when he got pulled from UFC 200 he "wanted to show this inspirational story of this guy in this tragic car accident who came back to come out on top" because clearly he was the victim in that "tragic accident" in which he drove half drunk into a pregnant women and then fled the scene. What a delusional piece of garbage. I hope DC knocks him out.

Seriously? Have you even listened to the podcast he is clearly remorseful. He did a stupid thing while high probably dealing with a crazy level of fame.

Such an amazing interview, both interviewer and interviewee talking realness. I got stuck listening to this convo and I’m 100% not into sports whatsoever, let alone UFC
