Cool project guys!
Necessity is the mother of invention!
Can't believe how good this thing turned out.
I even surprised myself with the final result! Stay tuned for part 2!
Hey guys thats looking pretty awesome so far. Cant wait to see it in action ! Take Care !!!
Thanks for watching! It was a fun project to work on!
Hi Elliott, it's looking pretty good. When I did mine I ended up cutting the foot right down to the bottom of the slide. Pieces sometimes still get jammed between the curved rail and the wedge but not too bad. I've actually been using mine quite a bit the last few weeks to split up bundle wood. I kind of forgot how good it works. That 4 way is going to be nice. I'll email you a pic of my latest creation. Dale
It turned out super well! Gotta stay tuned for the final product!
Very nice job guys, looking forward to seeing it complete
It's turning out better than expected!
Both welds work well for your application. Nice build.
They'll hold! Stay tuned for part 2 when we wrap this thing up! I was pretty impressed with the final result!
Fine job boys
I even impressed myself with the final product. Stick around, it should be out in a couple weeks.
Lucky you for the rain 3:56
This thing should b nice when done I often thought bout doin something similar to mine lol can’t wait to see it in some wood
I was pleasantly surprised with the final result! Guess you'll just have to stick around for part 2!
Oh fire sure bud I’ll get my pop corn ready
Leg to hold it up better be on the ta do list. It’s going to want to tip up with big wood on it I think or maybe not lol.
You must be able to see the future...we had to get creative, you'll see in a coming video!
@@EverythingElliott what? Did tell the neighbor kid to sit under it and hold it up? Lol. I hold mine down with and old huge red oak block with the tow chains under it. Lol.
@@stannelson2582 Guess you'll just have to wait and see!
George's 🤪
Gotta breathe some new life into that ole dirty hand tools!
nice
I had same idea. Alot of work. I wonder why no box stores carry this style splitter?
I'm not sure to be honest, seems like it is becoming the popular style lately...maybe its time for them to adapt!

I’m going to leave a comment because it helps your analytics
But I’m not sure how to say it but the welding is both adequate neither one of them was anything to write home about but then again, nothing to be embarrassed of either
Thanks for the support! Not a welder by trade, but just dangerous enough to stick 2 pieces of metal together!
What size steel was that for the knife? Looked like 1"x6" maybe?
1”x8” if I remember correctly
No it’s not
Very nice.
There's a few mods on ua-cam.com/video/qnmBDfGyrWU/v-deo.html that might be worthwhile while you have the welder (and a new grinder) out.
As you were belting into the piece of steel I saw the grinder taking a direct hit if you kept going. You kept going :(
That grinder lived a good life, thanks for the recommendations, I'll check it out!
