I have a 2007 Escalade. Safe to say they hold up to 150k before needing serious work.
Currently at 176,000. I bought it when it had 15,000. Things it’s need (literally happened all around the same time of each other and I’m very good about keep maintenance I do all work myself because I know how and I have a car lift)
    1. Oil pump (changed oil pickup tube at the same time & front differential mounts since I was there and they had some play)
    2. Replaced valve cover gaskets & rear main seal.
    3. Sway bar bushings & sway bar end links.
    4. Rack and pinion assembly.
    5. Transmission Control Module.
    6. Heated&Cooled seat module (ask me how to fix it for good and I’ll tell you how)
    7. Rear air shocks ( I went ahead and replaced all rear suspension components since it’s super easy and not as expensive if you shop around makes it ride like new again I also installed some tembren bump stops instead of the cheap OEM ones)
    8. Front suspension pieces (these I highly recommend you go with AC Delco parts it’s the only way you can keep that Cadillac ride for the next 15 years)
    9. Headlight assembly. (450 bucks a piece I wanted to cry. They started to leak. And the bulbs are 170 bucks for the OEM osram bulbs and 300 a piece for the OEM ballas)
    10. Rear passenger door lock actuator. (My rear door was unlocking sometimes)
    11. Lift gate shocks, lift gate door lock motor, lift gate motor, rear glass release switch, rear lift gate drop down switch and rear lift gate pressure pad (the one on the handle).
    11. Well these thing I’m going to list are just upgrades short tube headers, afm cold air intake, 15-20 escalade style taillights, LEDs all through your the truck, took off the stupid fake 3rd break light and installed the tail fin from the Tahoes (looks way better) took out the useless factory radio and installed a true plug and play 13.6 Tesla style radio from Aucarauto.

For anyone with a 2007-2014 Escalade the passenger side rear spark plug and wires can be difficult. Pull the passenger front wheel and inner fender liner and it becomes a lot easier

These trucks are so easy to work on. I'm no mechanic but I DIY a lot and UA-cam has taught and made me so confident(1A auto included) and now I do my own preventative maintenance on my 2011 yukon. I love this truck

Been watching a lot of your videos and they are very helpful. We are about to purchase a 2011 Escalade ESV with only ninety-six thousand miles on the odometer. This maintenance video is giving me a lot of peace of mind. Yes, I have read some of the issues that these vehicles have, but I'm trying not to let it deter us from a purchase. You gained a new subscriber, as well.

That's a good choice! I have a 2013 Escalade that already had the 100K service on it. All I did was put on some good rotors and brakes, and I did the oil change along with a new air filter. It drives great

When you change the rear diff fluid, do you use a gasket and a gasket maker sealant on the cover?

    • @tarquineous
      @tarquineous Рік тому

I've had good results with Permatex #2 dark brown paste with a new gasket. Be sure to clean all parts including the bolts and bolt holes. Clean out the metal powder below the ring gear. If you don't, the new oil will stir it up and cause wear. Avoid using silicone instead of a gasket. Be professional and reap the benefits.
