Loved it! Gonna play in an old folks home tomorrow and this lowered the anxiety a bunch. These are the songs they will want to sing and they don't care about the key or chord progressions. Bless you brother!
My grandmother had Alzheimer’s and remembered no one in her family but she knew all the words to the gospel hymns …it was like that was her only clear moments in her later years. Bless you for doing what you do …it means so much to the residents and their family’s.
I saw you had tab music for “Leaning on the Everlasting Arms”. It’s my mom’s favorite song and since she is the one who got me a guitar, I figure I should master that song first. I love it because there is a lot of easy percussion beats that sound great with it. I’m sounding pretty good on it and am just so happy! I really enjoyed this video. It's simple, and to the point. I typically play surf and rockabilly stuff but I've been wanting to see about bringing old gospel songs into the mix, because rock n roll has gospel roots and I'd like my playing to glorify God, otherwise it would be a waste of my time.
Ooo don't wanna limit yourself like that. God never stops speaking. Wisdom in all things if you look for it. God made you and the world around. All things are God and his lessons shine the strongest even in the gritty. I've never been much for covers because writing songs comes easily through me. After meeting God I thought all I could write was praise music. I later found out I can uplift I wider range of people if I'm not slapping a spiritual label all over everything I do and pigeonholing myself. Now I write whatever comes. Country, gospel, grunge, pop, blues, and my shit moves people to tears and they tell me it helps them and causes them to look at their lives. Maybe they find jesus, maybe they find Buddha. Doesn't matter cause in the process they find themselves and become a force for positive change in the here and now. A full cup can hold nothing else. God bless.

The Lord has called me to the jail ministry about 6 months ago and I can not take in any electronics. So I am learning the guitar. I’m getting there. Strumming is kicking my tail.
